You forgot one major thing. I've only been using iodine for a few months now and I use nascent iodine and I no longer need glasses at all. I used to have a stigmatism and I don't know if my vision was just blocked because of all of the bromine and all of the other chemicals that the iodine cleared out for me because I'm not a doctor so I don't understand all of it. But I've never been able to read without blurry vision and now I have no blurry vision at all, and the colors are brighter than they've ever been.

Please remember there are two kinds of iodine. One is for EXTERNAL use only. That is povidone iodine. It works great applied directly to the skin or used in a foot soak. The other type is for internal use. Lugol's iodine, kelp, nascent iodine, etc. Internal iodine is more expensive and can kill off any bacterial overgrowth in your gut. Start slow and work your way up in dosage.

@@findmesomewhereoverthere I use 5% Lugol's iodine. I add it to my tea or coffee because iodine tastes terrible. Start with one drop and increase it as you feel your body can handle it. If you have candida overgrowth, iodine can cause short term digestive issues as your body gets rid of the unwanted organisms in your gut. Best results will occur with regular use. Iodine is also necessary for our DNA to replicate correctly, something that is very important especially in preventing cancer. Blessings.

Thank you Dr. Berg for this great video! I am an RN and used to have adult acne. When I worked on a cardiac floor we would prep open heart patients with a povidone iodine body scrub in the shower. So I started using it to scrub my face and within a couple of days, no more acne! For the past 35 years I never break out unless I miss a day. Everyone I’ve told about this swears by it. (DON’T DO THIS IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO IODINE OR SHELLFISH. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY ) You just buy a bottle of povidone iodine it’s in the bandage and wound care area of the pharmacy (don’t use tincture of iodine, it won’t wash off!). Then get a wet washcloth, use soap to make it sudsy, squirt a bit of iodine to make the suds orange, wash your face and rinse. If you have a more serious case of acne do this twice a day until your skin is clear, then just once a day to maintain. This is so much healthier than taking antibiotics and so much cheaper than all the fancy acne treatments. And it works.

So I decided to try Dr. Berg's wart and skin tag thing. I put iodine and fresh garlic on a bandaid and put it over the little bump at night. Took about 2 weeks but the thing started to come to the surface. Kept it up until she could eventually just pick it off. Still don't know what it was, it was black and hard as a rock. She never had an injuries so I don't think it was a peice of gravel. Anyway its gone and she just has a tiny little pink spot now.

In my twenties and early thirties I really suffered from awful cystic acne which I would not wish on anyone. back then the solutions were topical treatments which were extremely drying and irritating and then anti-biotics with all their ensuing issues. Finally treatment with Roaccutane ( don't start me on the side effects of that one!), which worked but again at a cost. All the while I suffered from very heavy periods resulting in cystic ovaries ( there's a pattern forming here...) and then being diagnosed with Endometriosis so severe as to require a 'full pelvic clearance' form of Hysterectomy. Within 5 years of that I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. At no point was the possibility of Iodine deficiency even mentioned! We really need to look at the training of Primary Care Physicians. I would wish better for the next generation. Thank-you for your amazing research and information sharing.

Yes, exactly right. Honestly regular dr’s aren’t taught to get down to the “why” you have these symptoms. They are only taught to label it, right a prescription for it and be ready to write a lot more prescriptions for the new symptoms that are caused by the next prescription. It’s absolutely infuriating. I recently had to have hysteroscopy (it’s like a colonoscopy, but in the uterus due to thickening of the uterus lining and constant heavy bleeding. I also have a lot of fibroids in both breasts. One of my cysts got so big and painful and it happened very fast too. I started hearing about iodine and did my own research and read a couple books from a woman who cured her breast cancer using iodine and another from a Dr who’s treated and cured many woman with breast cancer and/or fibroids. I then asked my Obgyn to test my iodine levels, and she said there’s no need, we’re all deficient in iodine. I was told to start taking iodine supplements and that would definitely help my fibroids. I was shocked and mad that she never mentioned this to me years ago knowing that I have this problem. I am now taking iodine, following the proper protocol and my lumps have definitely improved. My massive one has receded a lot, but still there. I’m actually looking forward to my next breast exam! Look into these 2 books on Amazon:

White flour was once processed with iodine from kelp. By the 1970s the California giant kelp was almost extinct due to pollution. Although now protected, it is still struggling. Bromine was chosen as an alternative and approved by the FDA. The iodine RDA was never adjusted. Science
shows today that Bromine is a carcinogen. I recommend using only non bleached, non brominated flour in baking. It is however, more expensive but cheaper than chemotherapy. The problem is that brominated flour is still used in ready made bread items.

I'm a 65 year old retired physician and a vegan for about 40 years. I never had concern about micronutrients because a diet with a variety of nuts, whole grains, greens, and fruits will provide all nutrients that are needed to be healthy. Along all those years, the o time I ended up in the ER was when I lived in New York City and was hit by a car. My recovery was very fast.
The only two supplements that I recommend are vit d and b-12 because their defficiencies is widespread. Keeping vitamine D between 60-100 and B-12 betewen 600-1000 is necessary. Also, being physically active is a must.
Did a physical exam two weeks ago, and the metabolic panel was perfect, along with thyroid, parathyroid, prostrate, liver, kidney, heart, lungs, pancreas, gallbladder without any problem.
The problem with some micronutrient supplementation is that if you take more than is needed, you will do more harm than good.
Make things simple. We don't have tho have a PhD. in nutrition to eat well and be healthy.

Sage and rosemary. Eat it. Make a tea of it and drink it, also apply to your skin. Bath in it if you have so many scars - I had them all over my back and my face was ruined. Rosemary and sage consumption helped remove the scars in one year of consistent twice day use. Also I used Nioxin brand shampoo, conditioner, and their product meant for the bald head ON MY FACE bcuz of the scars. Also was consuming kelp - used it in soups and soaked in beans like pintos to reduce the gaseous-ness beans create but it was more about the iodine.

And.... He's not giving complete and important info in this video. It bears mentioning that Iodine for people with thyroid issues may not be wise as it triggers Hashimotos and other Thyroid issues. Yes, whilst the Japanese have those low occurence rates of cancers Dr. Berg stated in this video , they also have have the highest levels of Hashimoto’s in the world. A global spike in iodine consumption over the past two decades, exactly parallels the skyrocketing increase in thyroid diseases such as hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and thyroid cancer. He didn't mention this very important factor and he should have. "gift from god"...good grief.

I don't know how it is in the US but in my country the doctors nowadays are not so good educated. The second reason is that they usually have not much time to hear the stories of their patients. And third: They often get money from pharmaceutical companies or hospital companies to send them patients. I suffered whole of my life of a lot of different cysts in different organs, had a lot of difficulties, operations etc. in several decades. Dr Berg was the first person ever who said that a Iodine deficiency could be the root of the problem. I started with some products of a drugstore and experienced an improvement within a few days. - Iodine costs only a 2-3 Euros. I suffered decades of something that could be cured for 2-3 Euros. This is bizarr. Of course there are better products (Sea Kelp etc.) than Iodine from a drugstore, but at the beginning I was sceptical, because I could not imaging that it could work or be so easy). Best wishes from Germany and many thanks to Dr. Berg.

I’ve been taking Lugol’s iodine orally (50mg. -175 mg) for 6 years. Saved my thyroid! It’s also great for lumpy breasts & it’s very important to clean up bromines, fluoride & other toxic chemicals that stops the iodine from being absorbed into the body. Because these are usually more dominant in your body and will push the iodine out before it can be utilized.

I can attest to the skin tag removal. I had one under my breast that was causing pain due to the constant rubbing. I watched a previous video on povidone iodine and skin tags as well as fungal infections. I used a small dab on the skin tag and covered it with a tiny bandaid. Within the week it was completely gone. That was last month in January. I've been using it as well on a toenail fungal infection. It's working beautifully. It takes longer though because it takes time for toenails to grow out. But after 8 years with it, it's nice to finally see such amazing progress.

@@NEbluefire obviously not formally diagnosed as if you had it then no longer had it, you definitely got rid of it. Hashimoto's is simply not a disease you can get rid of or go into remission . The damage that is done to your thyroid cells is irreversible even if the antibodies somehow become dormant. My Hashimoto's is stable meaning it is no longer adding to the damage, but the added iodine I accidentally took caused it to become active again causing further damage. Clean living and yoga cannot replace tissues already destroyed by the disease. It really sounds like a case of regular hypothyroidism if it suddenly is able to function as normal again. Those of us with Hashimoto's require lifelong replacement medication, due to the damage already caused. This replacement has to be balanced very carefully so as not to activate more antibodies causing further damage.

I am simply stating that no amount of clean living or 'meditation ' will replace the damaged cells and as a result even though you stop further damage you still need to take thyroxine for the rest of your life. However Brownstein and the other iodine docs say that the iodine will displace other halogens such as bromine fluoride and chlorine and you may experience side effects while your body is excreting that stuff. Therefore don't start on 8 drops. What I did was start with 1 drop a day for the first week then increase it by another drop each week until I got up to 8.
I didn't have any side effects but if you live in the US you may not be so lucky. US commercial bakers replaced iodine compounds as dough conditioners with bromides some decades ago whereas here in Australia that is banned, so if you've been eating store-bought breads and baked goods you have probably got a high bromine load.. Also I get the impression that the US mandates a lot more use of fire retardants (usually bromine-based) than here in carpets, clothing, mattresses and the like. The bromine outgasses and you breathe it in. Your load of fluorine and chlorine may depend on how heavy-handed your water company is with the stuff. If you do have side effects, drop back to the lower no of drops until the side effects subside, then increase the drops again. For more information Google Dr Brownstein or Iodorol (Lugol's in solid tablet form but more expensive).
BTW I take my Lugol's in instant coffee made with COLD water not hot. My reasoning is that iodine is highly volatile - that's why most of the iodine in the soil is log gone - so putting it in hot coffee will just vapourise it. The coffee masks the metallic taste of the iodine.

Iodine made my mood really great when i use to combine it with thiamine + zinc + magnessium. especially i noticed thiamine affect lasts longer after iodine. first time my sugar levels lowered too good after i tried iodine yesterday and my mood gone great. Probably it really regulated my excess estrogen and thus it led to improve my insulin sensitivity by breaking down insulin resistance caused by excess estrogen. excess estrogen is known to cause insulin resistance and testosterone killer and SHBG levels go up. So i didnt get shocked to know that it prevents prostate cancer, breast and overean cancer. this is my experience...Thanks alot dr berg.

Age spots gone. It really is an amazing thing. I imagine that big pharma doesn’t tell us about it because they don’t have a patent on it. And also because it does stain the skin for a while.

Yes, iodine helps to reduce and eliminate cystic acne. Worked for my skin before I’ve started keto. I would apply for 1-2 drops of iodine on that inflamed cyst 2-3 times per day and in 2 days that cyst inside of my skin would shrink and all surrounding inflammation would calm down. Since I am on keto the acne issue is pretty much not an issue anymore :).
