We Indians have been practicing the habit of drinking water from copper jar (which was let to stay overnight). This helped with many problems like stomach, skin, immunity etc. Nowadays due to modernization our people has stopped this. I am grateful that Dr. Berg showed us the importance of copper to our body 😃

I'm a South African farmer. Most soils are not really depleted of minerals but from the functional microbes to unlock the available micro nutrients to plants.....exactly like in the human gut. Yes, soils function much the same way. If you can manage to stay away from pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, antibiotics and copy natural processes of the "soil food web" in the farming production practises, you wil find that our food wil become high in quality and nutrient dense, without deficiencies. If it kills soil microbes then plants, insects, animals and humans will pay the price on the food chain. It's a paradigm to shift, but very true. Just keep it real, don't use/eat stuff that you can't pronounce - it's probably not good for anything.
You just said what I preach. I always compare soil to the gut. I constantly work on the microbes in my garden soil and my gut. If you search jadam on utube it's a Korean farmer who teaches microbe boosting and he does an entire video on the gut.
My success story. I started intermentent fasting 6 weeks ago. I started for weight loss, but the secondary effects are wonderful. I havent added a strict keto diet. I already reduced sugar and caffeine intake several years ago. I am actually eating an equal to or greater than calorie intake since i started fasting. So the only thing i changed is eating in a timely manner. The first week was 16/8. Each week i tightened the timeline. I am now on OMAD. In 6 weeks i have lost 45 lbs. 4 inches of my waist. Mental clarity has greatly increased. I had to take pills daily for acid reflux, arthritis, and blood pressure. I am now completely off all medications. Zero arthritis pain. Zero acid reflux, and the blood pressure meds were causing low blood pressure, so my doc took me off them, and now my pressure is normally 110/65. I am 6 foot tall and started fasting at 255 lbs. I am currently at 210 and my goal is 180. Thank you Dr Berg. I havent felt this good since i was a teenager. My sleep is awesome. My energy level is amazing. In India my parents used a copper matka or a very large pot to store water in winter time. That’s the water we all drank. We have Drs in the US who've been trained for generations, at medical colleges which were founded by the Rockefellers, who were also heavily invested in the new drugs prescribed for so many ailments. While the newly invented, patented drugs did & still do often help people, we now know that there are often significant medical errors which have caused many deaths & harmful, often long term damage from the side effects & that many have been severely harmed by taking the wrong, & even the supposed right dangerous medicines. Some of those harmful drugs once used on a large scale were eventually taken off the shelves. Drs were & still are trained to find the drugs to fit the ailments of patients, based upon the early findings & claims of the manufacturers of medicines, backed by the founders of their medical schools. So, it's fair to say that many Drs are encouraged to give people drugs, which profit the drug makers. In some cases Drs were given kickbacks for prescribing certain meds above their competitors, which may or may not be the best course of treatment for all patients, & not ethical.

I was supposed to take it daily for a month before the sun exposure, but I took it just for 10 days. My allergy totally disappeared since then. And my skin is more reselient to the sun, I just don't burn easily any more. It's important for me as I don't agree that avoiding sun completly is a good idea. Analyzing my parents generation I noticed that people who enjoyed sun during their life are much stronger and healthier than those who avoided it.

Have cared for and raised thousands of sheep in S.E. section of PA and in upstate NY!--from the center of New York's State (south of Utica), through north of Syracuse. The "Great Lakes" area in all the states they touch, and in the great Northeast from Maine down through Pennsylvania, and across from the Atlantic Ocean, almost to the Mississippi River, is known to be deficient in Selenium, and in a minor way, deficient in Copper. With our sheep we always had to supplement Selenium up to but not to exceed 40 PPM. Cattle both Dairy and meat usually need a Copper boost, and although many farmers throughout New York do not realize it, also need Selenium. Sheep needing Selenium often cannot tolerate cold, and have heart and muscle problems and if severely deficient and die from unexplained causes. Sheep also need a correct level of copper, but are extremely sensitive to too much copper! A salt-laced mineral mix made especially for our area is offered to protect the life and health of our lambs and sheep! Cows and beef Cattle deficient in Copper, can be really unthrifty, unable to get bred, and produce very low milk quality and quantity. It's difficult to replace the minerals IN THE LAND of beautiful Upstate New York formed by movement of Glaciers, but we definitely can help our animals to be healthy, therefore being and producing healthy food for all. It contains a high level of all the trace minerals fulvic and humic acids, iron, zinc, magnesium, copper, nickel, potassium, manganese, silicon, silver, sodium, sulfur, iodine, and more. I’m already noticing results in my skin, energy, but the best thing I love about it is the weight loss! Lost about 7 pounds already and I’m all for it!!

Glad you mentioned the Zn:Cu issue. I have been telling people about that and encouraging them to do their own research or discuss it with their doc. Btw, there are supplements that contain both, but they’re a little harder to find.
Yea but I heard that your supposed to take zinc and copper I think maybe 30min or and hour apart because they compete against each other or something like that lol
@Karen F do NOT buy a supp that has cu & zi together! They utilize the same uptake pathway, so if you take them at the same time or close together, they will compete for those pathways, and since we take zi in much larger quantities than cu, it will tend to beat out the cu. I always suggest to folks to take them at opposite times of the day. Take 1 with your morning supplements and 1 with your evening supps. Also, surprised Dr. B didn't mention this, but a liquid chlorophyll supplement or concentrate is generally a good source of plant-based copper (vs an ore or compound). Just make sure to find one sans preservatives and added sugars. Often there will be options of plain or with mint added for flavor, and clover and alfalfa are the common plants sourced for a chlorophyll supplement. Personally, I like the taste, though not everyone will, and, in addition to the copper, it has the bonuses of cleansing the gut and the blood and improving the iron carrying capacity of RBCs! When I'm on a long bike adventure I like to add a serving to one of my water bottles. Also sometimes when I have a heavy workout or long walk/jog, especially on hotter summer days. It feels like I'm more oxygenated and I tend to have better workouts & endurance. Dr. B also didn't mention common dosage or side effects. I'm not advising you--do your own research--however, I'll say the standard RDA is generally set at 2mg on cu (& 20-50mg on zi, not to exceed 50mg). You can suffer symptoms from excess, and what I've read the consensus hovers around excess more likely if regularly supplementing >8-10mg daily. Most ppl will only require 2-4mg based on research I've read, but again, do your own research, make your own informed choices, and reach out to a professional who is well based in the topic of nutrition, such as a naturopath, if you have specific questions or concerns. :)
@@danielvarela5519 correct. I always recommend folks to take them at opposite times of the day--like cu with morning supps & zi with evening supps, because they do compete for the same uptake pathways. (See my comment to Karen F.) My research has shown that some of the best & most bioavailable sources, outside of certain whole foods, are liquid chlorophyll and dessicated animal organ supplements, sourced from pasture-grazed animals. There's a few product lines that seem to have great quality supplements of such, often sourcing their animals from New Zealand ranchers. Just an FYI. ;)
@@4UnlimitedBEing I have found conflicting scholarly results re: chlorophyll and the copper bioavailability within that... the Cu atom is essentially locked up in the center of a heme complex. Usually free-form heme to shunted to the spleen for recycling (body thinking there's iron inside, not copper). Some studies show a very poor rise in plasma copper following liquid chlorophyll intake, others say there is a measurable difference. Makes me think glycinates are the way to go... but there's certainly no harm in eating green, leafy vegetables for that chlorophyll content to act as a trickle feed of copper for all those important enzymes like Catalase, ATPase, Nitrite Reductase, SOD, etc.
It’s a problem because also all the minerals Dr Berg advises to take -- what he doesn’t mention is that many minerals like zinc, copper, calcium, iodine etc can interact with medications and contraindicate so it’s really hard. You fix one thing and that very cure ruins something else and imbalances.
Spacing of meds and supplements is important. Create a schedule. Then put ‘labelled’ timers on my phone so I know when to take what I need so I don’t forget.

It would probably be good to put greater emphasis on the need to have copper and zinc in balance, and to suggest getting your levels checked especially before starting any supplementation. The nutrient level in soils will also vary somewhat from country to country; I actually need to start taking zinc, not because my zinc is low in and of itself, but because my copper is too high.
nope, testing for copper levels does not work, just because it's high in your blood doesn't mean your cells are getting enough. There's a great book called the copper revolution. read it. But yes, it is true, minerals need to be taken in balace. they work together

Collagen production is a complex process that's dependent upon a multitude of factors, not sure that it can be "boosted" with the supplementation of just one mineral. But the overconsumption of OTC zinc, fiber, etc is definitely a problem.

Functional Physicians are few and far between, and very expensive to see . They are studying and researching what the body needs to get and stay healthy. Most healthy living information comes from overseas, centuries old.

We Indians have been practicing the habit of drinking water from copper jar (which was let to stay overnight). This helped with many problems like stomach, skin, immunity etc. Nowadays due to modernization our people has stopped this.
So true,I learned this from growing cannabis and now I grow my own food

It's often the "little things" that really matter!!! Blessings!

Many toxins can attribute to schizophrenia, especially heavy metals and deficiencies in vitamin D and certain B vitamins also iodine.

Makes me think glycinates are the way to go... but there's certainly no harm in eating green, leafy vegetables for that chlorophyll content to act as a trickle feed of copper for all those important enzymes like Catalase, ATPase, Nitrite Reductase, SOD, etc.
that's why you eat natural food apart from just drinking supplements
Copper naturally balances your zinc levels and is the main mineral in the game for ATP production. Copper + L Tyrosine for a more glowing tan.

You fix one thing and that very cure ruins something else and imbalances.
You must be new lol dr.berg has many videos on that on his channel he understands thats the case
Spacing of meds and supplements is important.
Create a schedule.
Then put ‘labelled’ timers on my phone so I know when to take what I need so I don’t forget.
@@neonpatriarchy9358 m
Try to take it from natural sources (i.e organic food) as he suggests most of the time
Agreed, they need to mention zinc with copper, and zinc needs to be much higher than copper in the body. I forget by how much. My zinc supplement has copper.
I know you might not make much here from RUclips but your videos really help us , they even save and prevent people from getting sick or premature death. Your videos are changing peoples lives .
I have been watching your videos for some time. I think we waste time visiting doctors, actually we should watch you videos. Ocean of knowledge u have.... Bravo
Im prone to cold hands , and Ive got Varicose veins in one of my legs. Plus, my tendons around my eljows and knees snap quite a lot, albeit minus pain. I work out , yoga a lot, but still have the issues. I dont know if, it is poor blood circulation, or the copper shortages Im seeing here. Many thanks for the constant content here. Wonderful.
Thanks for the info. I eat some sesame seeds, liver mixed with other meat to blend the taste, and brazil nuts which I believe have copper to some degree also.
Wow this video really surprised me! Like I didn’t know anything about copper at all. And based on what you say i might need a supplement. Also that Zinc/Cooper interaction really spoke to me since I’ve been taking zinc for my skin...Thanks, Dr Berg! You never disappoint 🤓
Same!
Lemons have alot of copper. Hot water with lemon.
warm not hot plz,hot water destroys vit c
I am from Kashmir India. People used almost copper vessels . first time in life i stopped sugar consumption n junk food thank u sir. Regular exercise here is so much to do for health thank u sir
put your water in copper pot for 8 hr (overnight) and drink in morning from copper glass.. especially during rainy season. or try it for 2 -3 month a year. you will never get iron or copper or collagen deficiency...( additional benefits: it help in controlling hypertension /bp) coming from a vegetarian. we have been told this from childhood....
and doc this is first time someone really boosted my belief. thanks ❤
I remember my grandmother saying the same thing...wise woman.
That´s why I like using a lot of pure cocoa powder.. makes for lovely snacks and full of copper, magnesium etc.. can really see the difference in the skin.
Crazy how this overlooked mineral is SO important! I think I can safely say that I have every symptom of copper deficiency that Dr. Berg mentioned.
BUT I am nervous to take a supplement because someone more knowledgeable than me told me that if you take too much, you can overtax your liver in as little as a month. And it is very hard to return to "normal" once that happens.
Idk, but my body needs some help. Too bad there are so few doctors out there that know what Dr. Berg does.

Did you take the risk?
@@PassionLeavesATrace yes. I chose a product that has 15 mg zinc 2 mg copper. It is supposed to be taken daily but I am only doing 2-3 times a week.
@@DK-cd8og I saw somewhere that you shouldn't take more than one mineral at a time because they compete for absorption. Anyway people say many things, how long did it take before you felt it working?
I don't eat any of those foods he mentioned that contain copper, and I consume too much sugar and alcohol. Got alot to change. Thanks doc 👍
Stop ramblin and get to work
I eat the food he mentions. I also consume alcohol tho . I seem to be doing good so far 🤷🏽♀️

I gave myself Cu-deficiency by taking Zinc L-Carnosine for years. I didn’t think about all these effects! Great video
OMG I was just thinking about my long ongoing problem with my spine and tummy pushing forward, when low and behold this video turned up! Amazing info and amazing timing. Thank you very much.
Most welcome. Glad you found it useful.
Dear Dr. Eric Berg,
Do you recommend copper-water-bottles; as it is in Ayurvedic Medicine, to counter balance copper deficiency?
I would like Doctor Berg to see this.
I remember posting about this on FB and it was taken down by a “fact checker” for being false info. Although there was a comment someone left about Indian culture using copper vessels to store water in overnight, apparently it works for them. I really wouldn’t put all my faith and trust in “fact checkers,” I’m sure there’s some truth to using copper cups/bottles
Thanks for the video. My family has a history with Anemia. Now I know what I am missing.
I take iron with copper and vitamin C. The C helps absorption. I didn't know about ballance. I will send my mom copper ASAP. Thank you for this vide🤓
he said ascorbic acid will LOWER your copper!!
Did you do a blood work to find out if you copper level is high?
@@henryhendrika5689 Yep.
nope, testing for copper levels does not work, just because it's high in your blood doesn't mean your cells are getting enough. There's a great book called the copper revolution. read it. But yes, it is true, minerals need to be taken in balace. they work together
Dr. Berg is simply the best! Talks direct to the point and everything is very educational.
Thank you Dr. Berg for your health lecture.
Your presentation is easy to remember especially as you give examples of the food to get the nutrients.
God bless you Dr.
Leave it to Dr Berg to connect the dots as always 🦸♂️
I’ve been using colloidal copper for years as my toner. Started using it on my face esp around the eyes but over the years started spraying it all over my body esp in spots where one may want to enhance collagen 😁
I also focus on the foods and sources Dr Berg mentions in the video. I’m 46 and folks can never believe my age 🤷🏻♀️
Keto lifestyle and IF def play a role as well. Another golden nugget from Dr Berg 🙌🏼
There are even new skincare products with copper peptides. Might be onto something.
Do you purchase or make the colloidal copper? I’ve not seen it but I’m interested.
@@CandyAndromeda yes I use a peptide product as well daily and I love it!
Hi, do u buy it or do u make it?
Can you provide more details regarding the colloidal copper that you are using
Hi Dr. Berg. Thank you so much for your great videos. I have a question. We use copper dishes to make and serve food in my home country. Do they have benefits in terms of boosting our collagen?
Any thoughts about copper water? How much to drink daily, interactions/contraindicate, etc. ?
Excellent info, very interesting. Also corresponds to my results. Decades ago I tested as low in copper, and added some copper supplementation. Now, being over 60, I have almost no gray hair on my head, except a little on my sideburns. And less wrinkles than most men in their mid 40s.
Do u have brand names what u using i suffer from gray hair to i want my naturel hair colour back
In ayurveda it is triphala powder.
Required for collogen and many other benefits.
Thank you
I have bought this powder 3 years ago. U think it still ok to take? The taste is bit hard for me

Wow, I love this topic very much. I didn't know collagen has so many effects on other parts of body. Thank you for informing us. Wish you happiness.
@Dr. Eric Berg, in your opinion, would you say that wearing a copper bracelet would be enough to increase copper in my body?
A truly inspirational Dr. Even in the UK. I regularly see people mention to watch your vids on line. This is totally the information that lies hidden from public knowledge. Who would know about copper? Maybe that’s why copper kettles were so popular back in the day? Plus copper healing bracelets.
TY Dr Berg. Another truly informative and helpful video. I’m 48 and I still have so much to learn.
Very good information Dr. Berg. Now, wondering how much copper should we intake per day. Is liquid copper same as copper in the food?
premature graying, bal issue, varicose veins...you have dropped (as usual) dropped gems!!!!
I've been talking MSM, copper, zinc and Vitamin C for a few weeks now and the wrinkles around my eyes have vanished.
Please tell us where to purchase these vitamins

Wow, once again Dr Berg solves my mystery. I wish he mentioned the proper dosage if we try a supplement.
The dosage depends on a few factors which he explains in this video and in earlier videos on zinc absorption and on zinc toxicity too, digestive system health issues, ect.
@@experimenthealthyketo83 yes, thank you. Im currently watching a couple other Dr Berg videos that are helping me piece together a plan. I've changed my life with Dr Berg. But I'm just having an exhaustion, weakness that I cannot kick. Of course drs say I'm fine. Thank you. 🌹
@@ddunning6207 did you take a covid 'vaccine' ?
@@ddunning6207 I see. I was able to solve this with 2 different supplements: one is enough electrolytes (his) but if it’s not enough I use more of his D3&K2 which has zinc in it. So if I take, example, 4 of his, then I need to balance with copper. Like I‘ll take 40g of beef liver in my next meal.
Thank you for answering questions and helping people become self-aware.

What's your opinion about drinking from copper vessels will that help the body to sustain the copper that it's needed or not really?
Wow! HOW’D I MISS THIS GEM OF INFO!
It would have been nice to provide information on dosing, and on what test values to use to define deficiency.
I've noticed my hair is darker after taking copper. The amount of grey has been reduced by about 50%

Dr. Berg, what’s the proper daily dosage of copper that we should be consuming?
What's the dosage that we should take daily
Collagen production is a complex process that's dependent upon a multitude of factors, not sure that it can be "boosted" with the supplementation of just one mineral. But the overconsumption of OTC zinc, fiber, etc is definitely a problem.
Copper is essential, but don't overdo it. Moderation is the key word.
I would be interested to know what percentage of the population is lacking in these minerals such as copper and zinc....and also any studies that show the addition of these minerals and the reaction in the body??? Did folks with ailments actually get better with supplements?
Beautiful Educative Video Dr. Eric Berg .... How about consuming water kept overnight in a Clean Covered Copper vessel to boost Copper levels in our body , We have been doing this in India since the last 4,000-5,000 Years .... What's your opinion on the same .... Please Reply
Are we Indians fools to try this for thousands of years?
Of course! Very good 👍🏼
In India we store water in copper containers for 8 hours or overnight and drink them as first thing in the morning.
Damn, Dr. You constantly astonish me in sharing the information I desperately need to hear, and sometimes (often) don’t even know it! 😃❤️ This is a key to supporting the health of someone I love. Thank you SO much. 🙏🏾💕
For those unfamiliar with Victor Schauberger, he was agriculturas genious from Austria even employed by Nazis at one time... Among many inventions he used to make copper plows or copper coated agricultural tools because he know the importance of copper in the soil. Copper also regulates sleep and the best source of it IMO are mushrooms. They have ridiculus amount and are delicious and simple to make. I chop them up and fry them on olive oil with onion and add spices like turmeric sometimes. This with eggs and bacon is the most nutritious breakfast you can make.
I also love mushrooms, the tricky thing is they absorb radioactivity, so can harm your thyroid.
