Not really if you played basketball at any level ( and i mean this with absolutely no offense) it often pertains to effort , altbough I wouldnt be surprised if those guys genuinely didnt know what else to say
@steezsteezsteez I get the effort thing but there's a difference between the Lakers not even trying on defense and the bucks breaking down the Thunder's defensive schemes. And most of the time that I hear TV analysts say it it just sounds like a blanket statement with no substance
I disagree. You see players play with almost no energy, and other players play 100% way more often than others. Maybe it doesn't apply to this game, but it's not a dumb take everytime. Some players don't even try... _cough_ LeBron _cough_
Hard disagree but also agree. I have absolutely seen games where the determining factor was effort. Jimmy butler rolling on the floor for loose balls in the playoffs type shit. But sometimes pundits just say shit to say shit.
Screaming A is what this formula looks like: Never being told that getting louder doesn't make you more right + axe to grind for no athletic talent whatsoever + undeserved wealth= Obnoxious clown fit for tv so billionaires can laugh at their creation.
Aside from Chet Holmgren, the Thunder are primarily a small ball team. They are basically what the Clippers and Warriors have been for the last few years.
OKC lowkey on fraud watch. On paper they’re the best team in the league, but in big games they ghost. Everyone gassed them up and hype Sga as the mvp every day, but in the big moments, Giannis smoked them in the cup, and Dallas knocked them out last season in round 2.

Thank you. I cannot stand people hyping up this team. They look great on paper however I will take any of the other west or east contenders. The cavaliers, Celtics, Or Mavs look better. The reality is that this team is not ready to win a championship or even go the finals.
I mean. One bad game ? Their shooting was awful and Giannis went greek freak mode. SAS was just commenting how bad they were tonight jokingly saying he has to rethink the take. Its pretty clear he hasnt changed his mind he just watched them have a bad game
I dont really see how SAS was wrong or made a bad take. Maybe i dont have full context, but based on this clip...I dont see how OKC wont make the Finals. Bucks just got more experience rn
Lakers won it last year, which paved the way for an incredible finals push we'll likely never see again. All these commentators are wrong all the time because their job is just to drum up interest, not to be smart.
Glad that they lost, they'll play better when people doubt their talent. I don't think any other team in the west can take them out of the playoffs in an 7 game series. They have never been fully healthy this season yet they are the number one defense and the best net rating in the NBA.
just a fun little vid to troll. will make more stuff like this because this is my channel 🤪
The "wanted it more" narrative is so dumb every time I hear it. That's what you say when you don't know or understand what they did to win

SAS and Perk, pathetic. The fact that these guys have a say in deciding MVPs and other honors is one of the biggest sins of today's NBA.
What they say on TV affects the MVP race way more than their vote at the end of the season.
I bet Jokic never received a single vote MVP from either Sas, or Perkins
@@DoobGoobthey would if Jokic wasn't wyte
Every time I hear "they wanted it more" I always think back to Mark Cuban on First Take. What a useless statement
After back to back NBA Cup championships, we need to start having Darvin Ham GOAT conversations.
lmao, and he wasn't even the coach, still carried the team
For real, people don’t understand greatness when it’s right infront of them.
"tHeY wAnTeD iT mOrE" instead of saying "i was wrong with my take"

i love the 3 ball as much as the next hooper but the game is damn ugly when they dont fall and okc fell victim to that

In a best of 1 game you always have a chance if you have the best player on court
They always underestimate Giannis
I guess skill trumps youth, after all.
They are the only two MVP’s of the tournament because there has only been 2 seasons that it existed.

Ah yes the inseason tournament, such a big moment

it's not necessarily a bad take, it's just funny that he wants to rethink what he said already
Just a bunch of hype men
at least steven A. didnt double down on his bad take like a lot of these guys do lmao
Giannis was right about stephanie a smith
