Personally I don’t watch games much anymore because the officiating always feels biased towards one team. Nothing kills the excitement of a close game like the officials favoring their betting odds
BLM. Stars resting. 3s all day. Luka being the next face and legitimately out of shape to the point where a 40 year old man's doctor would say it's a problem how soft he is. But ultimately the all star games show the true soul of the sport is dead. You guys summarized it well. The problems with the NBA go beyond basketball. It represents this divide both racially and economically between elites and average people. I genuinely dont know if NBA players like middle-America fans anymore. And you can feel it. The face of the league (Lebron) tweeted #YourNext and basically doxxed an Ohio cop. In previous eras thatd be an absolute bombshell story. Now the media protects one side, neglects most of America in favor of LA, but eventually the whole thing loses connection with people. I cant imagine finding any player today inspiring, other than maybe Giannis.
Ratings are down because these players have no charisma. They come off as cocky and privileged. The teams all play the same offense, chucking up threes and playing no defense. Also fundamentals are gone, players carrying and traveling, flopping and crying for calls. It’s all unwatchable.
Man. I want 82 games a season and I want these overpaid crybabies to play in them. Don’t make the playoffs? Lose 30% of your contract. That will motivate you to play hard
Everybody got really good points about the NBA decline. But in my honest opinion I think it's because of league pass. Football is king because most of the NFL games are on regular TV. The NBA is not available for the regular viewers. Local fans have a hard time watching their own team. Hard to develop new young fans when it's not available to the general public
Today's NBA is shit.Just because Curry doesn't mean every team has to play the same way. It's time the NHL gets respect. Blue collar player no drama just a great sport. Today people would rather beat a dead horse NBA than watch players that play. A major record that means something can be broken this year.NHL deserves respect.
You need to put a limit on 3 point attempts. You can save some of the attempts for the end of the game, and you still can shoot them, but they only count as two if you have used them up.
There are problems! But I would rather they do thigs to make 3's tougher than change the historical consistency of the game & comparisons to the past-like altering the time allowed in zones or changing defensive coverage rules a bit. As for having less games, that is a both a terrible idea in terms of stats, records, comparisons to the past-& especially unwelcome when they are already playing less minutes due to load management: & throughout most of B-Ball history they did FINE with 82 games! Also they would never reduce profits by doing that... Curry has actually NEVER led the league in 3 point %! And this & last year, not in the top 10. He is #12 all-time; but given how many 3's he takes-more difficult with higher volume-he is reasonably stated to be the best-& is the best ever at free throw %!
Cmon guys. They’ve been paying 82 games for decades. When I was coming up tens of millions of people would watch a regular season bulls game or Knicks game or Lakers game. And that was when there were 70 million fewer people so a much much higher percentage of the public was watching compared to now. Didn’t matter if it was the 5th game or the 50th. We knew that when we tuned in thr players were going to play their asses off. No sitting for no reason. Now you don’t know if the entire starting lineup will even show up to a game. So the 82 game excuse is really weak. Really weak. If the product was great people would watch all 82 games just like we used to. I know dozens of people and not one of them watches the NBA at any point in the season. The product is terrible.
Fans simply need to stop going to games watch at home then I bet you the star players will play more games and ticket prices will come down I don't care who playing a 1,000 dollars for two tickets is insane even when I have a extra thousand to spend it's not going on tickets to a sport event
Nah, why won’t anyone talk about the Diamond/ Sinclair idiots? I have season tickets lower bowl row H. We pay 75$ a month so, I don’t really care about your LA problems. I can’t afford to buy “Fan Duel” or whatever it is now. They’re pricing us out in the weirdest way. So, Ima pirate every game and there’s nothing they can do about it.
Dont care for it at all. Politics, LeBron, the commissioner, the 3 point shot is all anyone does, no physicality, refs are terrible, flopping, travels, players sitting out, the game is a joke.
Wake up commentators. Not just playing the full season. NBA rules on defense, so players play little defense. All star and IST games are a joke. Load mgmt, Play-ins & Players building their own super teams that Bron started.
The best player is a 7 foot plumber that would have just been ok in the 90s and 2000s. He's better than anyone the league has had since kobe...but somehow the narrative is that KD, lebron, and steph are the best ever. People with half a brain see through this stuff. I mean Jokic is putting up ridiculous numbers but he's not going up against hakeem, KG, shaq, tim duncan, ewing. No way.

Implement a 5 second violation instead of 3 seconds and a 3 second offensive violation outside the 3 point line
outside the line aye?
Take away the 3 in the Key rule. Let centers camp the paint again.

LeBron is the worst thing that ever happened to the NBA. He ruined i.
If you eliminate the three problems solved
Players thinking they can shoot like steph curry and the coaches + analytics that tell them they can 🤦♂️

Good points. I hadn’t considered how it would effect records in comparison to the past
People don’t try. It’s boring to watch when players sit out if they feel like it

Same here. The process of watching all the games across platforms is terrible too. I pirate all the time now and it is what it is
Dont care for it at all. Politics, LeBron, the commissioner, the 3 point shot is all anyone does, no physicality, refs are terrible, flopping, travels, players sitting out, the game is a joke.
No no no, do what u want w basketball but leave my baseball alone, Manfreds done enough damage already.
The problem with the NBA? The product sucks. Plain and simple.
When you pay that much to go watch your favorite player and he isn’t playing that blows big time! Go Seahawks

Wrong
NBA rules are much different back then. It's why teams can score 100+ much easier now.
They lost me with BLM
Okay liberal who doesn’t know they a liberal. 💀💀💀💀
