Floor radiates a Mother Earth or Gaia aura during this performance. Very warm, powerful, divine and loving. I love when Marco gives her a hug at the end :)

Yes this is the Yearly "Raskasta Joulua" ("Heavy Christmas") tour. In 2016 she sang "Oi Jouluyö, Juhlayö" (Oh, Holy Night) in Finnish when she was 6th month pregnant - so she had very heavy Christmas😁 Now there's a song you should cover - in Finnish of course, no need to get a baby thought! * BIG grin*
He sings lead in While Your Lips are Still Red softly and also in The Islander he is lead, both are great songs. Floor sings Ave Maria with a metal twist it is in her covers on her home YT channel.
On her RUclips channel Floor did Ave Maria in three slightly different versions put into one cover.
Interesting how he sings in Finnish and she sings in Latin (and then English). Part of the contrast, along with voicing, outfits, everything. They are so great together.

This "Ave Maria" version should be mandatory to watch for those who think metal singers are just angry and scream/growl all the time.. Also, for more of tender Marco you should listen to "while your lips are still red", it´s absolutely beautiful.
It is such a loss that Marco is gone. I hope he can make happy music and enjoy life for a long time to come. Thank you for your nice response.
If you're more into the rock ave maria then you should check out her cover on her channel. For me personally how less instruments this song has the better it is so this version has my preference.
Floor's operatic voice is in full display in her tribute song to her opera idol, Henk Poort, in the first performance of Beste Zangers 2019 "Vilja Lied" LIVE. Surprisingly, none of the other performers on the show had any idea who Floor was until the shock of her performance.

@@jamesallen1153 Yep. Been seeing the same misleading comment everywhere. They didn't know who Floor was before 'the show', meaning before getting the list of participants and their chosen song list of meaningful songs to pick from and study, three months before first episode taping. Now, seeing someone singing on youtube and seeing someone 20 ft in front of you singing live are two completely different things, but it's disingenuous to claim this was the first time they heard her or they knew nothing about her before she sang vilja lied.
They studied each other extensively during the lead-up period,and even rehearsed the duets during the week on Ibiza, there is a docu on that...
The rehearsals were kept separate from the others so they had not heard
the others sing, but they must have studied earlier performances/records.
The famous " and dan trekt ze haar scheur open"(then she opens her big mouth)
refers to a song Floor heard Samantha sing way before the show took place.

God, how we will miss Marco.
One thing about Marko and his singing. He said it himself that he bases his singing style off of another great singer who had many different voices: Ronnie James Dio. You could take his entire recently released solo album, pull him off it, out in Dio, and it would sound the same. However, since he had that botched vocal surgery a while ago, rumor had it to get his voice back, he had hired a vocal coach.. some unknown lady named Floor Jansen. 😉
But he definitely has a ton of different voices and color to his voice, which is what makes him one of the best all around singers in the world.
For Floor singing in an operatic style try her singing O Mio Babbino Caro.
Hi I think you should react to Floor singing O Holy Night in Finnish and in rock style. FYI it's from 2016 and she was 6 months pregnant with Freya. I loved him on Masked Singer. Did you see Marco no shoes. If you want another video of this song you should react to Tarja singing this from Paolo
Can’t think of a better duo than Floor and Marco. Ok Floor and Henk poort is also awesome but any other people in the world don’t have the same kinda resonance that Floor and Marco has. I miss Marco but he’s still doing stuff. The heitala brothers or the heitala trio is fun 🤘

Hard to stand toe to toe with Floor, but Marko was outstanding. Like you said, Marko has a great vocal range. Floor… well spectacular and tender. I think she restrained her power given the nature of this duet. Had she had a duet with Henk Port she might have taken it too a different level. Great analysis.
