All ya'll throwing a tantrum like a 3 yo need to get over yourself. Everyone experiences the music differently. Reactors have to pause every so often. Do you really think David Gilmore cares that she paused. He would probably be happy that she took the time to process her own way. Also do you not realize how many reactors go back and listen a couple more times after their initial reaction
Hi, I love you ❤️💕
You dang right he would card. What if HE paused in the middle of it? Her pausing and him pausing are no different. For her it is called etiquette. For him it is called awesome performance. HE WOULDN'T HAVE PAUSED. So yes he would care !!!!!
@@brittreacts We all love you Britt but don't pause during guitar solos unless you want to start another World War..😏😏
I am doing that because having attended Concerts for over 50 years,I know that 90%+ of music lovers hate it and so I am trying to save Britt from getting this grief EVERY TIME she reacts to a music video. We know all about Copyright(there isn;t one on this) and Reactors "reacting" which is why we are fascinated by their views but not 8 times during one solo. How about 50 times. Is that ok and,if not, why not. Surely it is all about "Balance"....
Imagine you are my boss and you know from your long experience the best way and I, deliberately, do it MY way. What do you do? Nothing?
When you break up any solo it ruins the vibe. Not to be rude but it really does hurt the mood. It’s like having sex but right when you’re getting to the point of feeling that rush your partner starts talking about work. It’s a buzzkill, you need to feel a solo without interruptions.
Pink Floyd holds the record for 761 successive weeks, so over 14 successive years in The USA Album Charts for "Dark Side Of The Moon" which has to be played in the dark, in solitude, with headphones, and without pausing as one track seamlessly blends and transitions into the next..:)
Pink Floyd‘s evergreen album The Dark Side of the Moon continues to hold the record, by far, for the most charted weeks on the Billboard 200: 917! The set, which was released in 1973 and spent a week at No. 1, continued to chart on a mostly regular basis through 1988.
Heck, yeah! I love to do this with the entire Wall album. Back in the early/mid '80s when I was in the Army, I used to do this and just disappear into the music. Best meditation ever.
First rule of Reactors Club: Never pause during a David Gilmour guitar solo 😁
Good thing l like to break the rules 😉 thanks for watching ❤️❤️❤️
Bad thing is that the people watching are very passionate about this rule, and if you continue they'll stop watching.
I really enjoy your reactions and hope you continue on the same path you're on.
You're one of the few that broke down the lyrics and got it right.
@@brittreacts You'll piss off a lot of people by doing that.......just saying.
Relax guys (not so much the OP), it is just a song. I've been a Pink Floyd guy for 35 years and have all the albums. Greatest band in the world in my opinion, but anybody who stops watching BrittReacts because she paused during a solo - SEE YA! Keep things in perspective is all I'm saying.
One of the most powerful guitar solos ever, and she pauses all the way through it.
It was actually 1994. That large crowd happened 15 nights in a row at that venue Earl's Court London. When people heard Pink Floyd was coming to town they would hop off the surgery table or leave in the middle of their own weddings to go stand in line for tickets.
Pink Floyd formed as a band in 1965. I grew up with this band. They were and are hugely popular and have a totally unique sound. Check out the album "Dark Side of the Moon". It's legendary.
Yep !
Just FYI, stopping during a Gilmour solo is illegal in 41 states. 😉
What are the 9 legal ones? California is probably 1.
I saw Pink Floyd on this tour on May 14, 1994 - 2 days before my 27h birthday at the Superdome in New Orleans. I have to say that was one of the most sonically and visually impressive concert I have ever attended. The whole show totally blew my mind from start to finish. And the ENTIRE Superdome sold out within 15 minutes for that concert. Anyway back to the meaning of the song...
The song has been long interpreted, and many argue over the true meaning of this classic. Many believe it’s about a heavy drug trip, but in reality, it’s actually not.
Roger Waters, Pink Floyd's original bassist, wrote the lyrics. While many people thought the song was about drugs, Waters claims it is not. The lyrics are about what he felt like as a child when he was sick with a fever. As an adult, he got that feeling again sometimes, entering a state of delirium, where he felt detached from reality. He told Mojo magazine that the lines, “When I was a child I had a fever/My hands felt just like two balloons” were autobiographical.
Rogers went on to talk about the severity of his fever. His temperature was around 105 degrees, he became delirious, and he felt his hands becoming swollen, hence them feeling like balloons. David Gilmour wrote the music for the song, and this was actually, believe it or not, the last song that Gilmour and Waters wrote together. Waters left the band about seven years after the release of The Wall in 1986.
And this guitar solo at the end is considered to be one of the greatest if not the greatest of all time.
One of my favourite performances ever. Only thing id say is you lose a bit of the magic with the solo if you pause. Its a moment to sit back and just take in the mood, visuals and sound.
I find it crazy, that some of the most iconic rock songs, were written by such young people, yet, the lyrics display the insight of people much older than the people writing them.
Roger waters, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Trent Reznor, Mick Jagger,Stevie Ray, Curt Cobain, John Lennon... the list goes on.
Truly special people.
UGGH!, Britt, Every Pink Floyd fan yelled NOOO! when you paused the song during David’s guitar solo. Pausing to talk during the solo is equivalent to committing a cardinal sin.
I'm glad that young people appreciate the legend of Pink Floyd. The Pulse performance is amazing.
Interrupting a David Gilmour guitar solo has been designated a "Crime Against Music" by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, so look out.
Ever tried going out to socialise?
@@lastfirst5689 Tried that, met humanity, ended up a misanthrope. But, even so, you do realise that was a joke, right? Your surname is "Funsize", after all.

Classic Pink Floyd 💗 best music ever ♥️
Their records have to be heard in entirely and in order. The entire album tells a story
Yes that's true but that's to be done in the comfort of your home or wile comuting in the car! Here she is reacting to the music as it happens!
Not really. Whenever they're on the radio people don't complain.
@@simonevs020 well for sure of course, but to get the full story line of the record, it was meant to be listened to that was.
@@colette6984 That's fair enough. When I first listened to Floyd it was just single tracks at a time with no context to the full albums and thats what encouraged me to actually get the albums.
I now know the albums in full are more rewarding but we have to be a little bit realistic when it comes to reactions hence why I get a bit annoyed ( not at you! ) when people complain at listening to single tracks.
Just seeing people listening is a good thing!
Guitar solos... you don't pause them, you don't say anything, just soak it in, especially Pink Floyd! You got to think of a great guitar solo as something you marinade in. Let those flavors seep into your pores, let the vibe run and let go. After the guitar solo, then tell us how you feel. I know RUclips is a cranky butt about copyrights and etc, but the one thing you don't do is pause in a guitar solo, people might come at you with pitchforks and torches! LOL!
Anyone who gets that caught up and carried away by the music gets a pass lol
Never ever..........ever pause you know what!
Maybe the greatest guitar solo in rock history.....
Girl, Pink Floyd goes back to the 70's in 94 they were well seasoned.
Sixties. Their debut album, Piper at the Gates of Dawn, came out in 1967. So in 1994 the band had existed (with a couple of long hiatuses along the way) for 27 years. I saw them a few years before this during the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.
Another great song addressing social issues is Pink Floyd live performing ON THE TURNING AWAY (about society turning their backs on people in need).
the problem stems from having been already taxed 80% of your earnings, part of which was to pay for those people in need.
You can talk over the guitar solo without stopping every 10 seconds. Take it all in
Something I don't think anyone has ever done: Do the entire album "Dark Side of The Moon" as a series. In order, with lyrics. Do just a bit of research on it's history for context, then do a separate reaction to each song. You will see the artistry that goes into a true "concept album". I think you'll really enjoy it.
Some reactors have done similar videos, a lot were taken down for copyright violations, but I think there are still vids out there
Agreed!
James they are all over the internet. They do it with Wish You Were Here Animals and The Wall also.
@@harlanginsberg7269 I guess ignorance is the price I pay for not living on the internet. I apologize for wasting your time with my lame suggestion. That doesn't mean no one would want to see Britt do this type of reaction.
@@jamesmadden6434 You are mad at me but I was the 3rd person to make that comment. As for your sarcaasm maybe next time don't start a sentence with "Something I don't think anyone has ever done." if 1) You really have no idea if that's true and 2) If you don't want people saying you are wrong
Pink Floyd songs are meant to just sit back relax listen and enjoy
But not when you are expected to react to them.
@@greg2976 I understand her reactions are great but on this song it just seemed like I've heard the song so many times but oh well aint no thing I still love her reactions
@@robertdanyus6836 Yes, She
wasn't too impressed by them! What a same! But she is still a great reactor for the short amount of time I have been watching her. But we as Pink Floyd fanatics, can't understand that some don't like them or get them!🤔😥😒
I’m so glad you enjoyed this awesome performance! Thank you for doing this!
nerver never pause David Gilmour solo 🎸🎸🎶🎶
Never

Never ever
I asked RUclips if they could remove the pause button on this video 😁
After that, no more problem 😜
This song is much better off being felt as opposed to analyzed. :) Also, it is a federal crime to interrupt a David Gilmour solo, your local agents have been notified.
Seasoned is generous. They been around since the 60s....off and on. This is one of the great solo guitar performances of all time.
'Seasoned' is fantastic! I want someone to refer to me as 'seasoned.'
Me too
They're 25 years+ in at this point. True prodigies of the late 60s.
As always, I loved your thoughtful reaction, Britt.
The band dates back to the mid-60s, and you are absolutely spot-on about the depth of the messages they convey -- particularly from 1973 on, beginning with the Dark Side of the Moon album.
Love your reactions. I’m glad to see the younger generation looking at different music.
New to your page I am 58 years old and love to see you young folk hear and appreciate the music I grew up listening to… a couple of hints to help grow your page: 1) NEVER interrupt a solo; 2) do your research of a song before you listen; 3) always go back at least 5 seconds when you pause song….😊😊😊
Good points!
This has become one of the most hilarious comments section around and the really funny thing is Britt's decision to pause 8 times during Sir David Gilmore's guitar solo has prompted this furious debate and yet she has moved on to "Pastures New" or in this case "Reactions New" while we argue with each other after she has left a Trail Of Destruction....
WORLD WARS HAVE STARTED FOR LESS THAN THIS 😁😁😁😁
Just giving you a heads up dear. Don't pause in the middle of Pink Floyd guitar solos. If you do, I GUARANTEE you'll see quite a few messages within the comments roasting you for it.
Great reaction, Britt! This is first time I've cone across your channel and the level of engagement was wonderful. Your comments are in the moment and go far beyond the obligatory "this is amazing" kind of thing. Pauses are a necessity in reaction videos, especially if thy result in the type commentary you offer. I'm all in from here on. Looking forward to more great music reactions from you. Do you take your requests through comment sections or elsewhere?
Never pause a solo 😢
The space medusa transports Gilmour back to his planet after concerts.
Pink Floyd was one of the first groups to do concept albums (probably not THE first, but the first that I remembered). They were meant to be listened to in one go, and a definite experience. I remember shutting the lights, putting on the headphones, and just losing myself for hours in the music.
Pink Floyd fans (myself included) take the listening experience pretty seriously. Imagine stopping the Gettysburg Address to discuss Lincoln’s suit coat. That’s what happens when you pause a David Gilmour solo.
That's fine, but take the listening experience to the song or the video itself rather than a reaction video. Reactors need to pause due to RUclips rules. If it's in a DG solo, sorry. I mean it's Pink Floyd. I could see if it was Rush, but Pink Floyd? 😏 JK.
Then perhaps you should stop watching Pink Floyd reactions? Just a thought.
@@Enrique-Garcia I'm here for the reaction, not what is being reacted to. I reiterate, maybe YOU should just watch and enjoy Pink Floyd videos. Just a thought.
@@primemover1416 Understood.
Very cultish. Kind of reminds me of favorite wine discussions. Having worked for BGP over the years I've seen a lot of "tribes (go to a Grateful Dead concert ... lol)"
I think David Gilmore is 72 or 73 , myself and millions of others have been listening to them for 50yrs like everyone says don't ever pause during a David Gilmore solo I think it's in the Bible, David Gilmore is a guitar God 🎸

never stop the solo - never stop the solo
I did drugs to feel Comfortably Numb to run from the pain I felt at the time. Until I realized the pain doesn't leave until you confront it and deal with it. I'm better now.
Arguably their Best Album ,Dark Side Of The Moon turns 50 yrs old this year.Listen right through for maximum effect to an album that was ahead of its time.
I have seen reactors brought to tears by Gilmour’s guitar solo. My tears flowed this time around too but not from the beauty of his playing. It was from frustration from your constant pausing where you should be taking it in.
You're silly
The little boy in "Another Brick in the Wall" and the guy getting medication to stand him up for the concert are the same person. Little Pink is now Mister Pink who is not in a fit state to attend to his duties. Listen to the entire album and then watch the movie. Musical masterpiece
I was at the Pulse concert in Foxboro, MA in May of 1994. That was my second Pink Floyd concert I attended. By far, the BEST concert and production I have ever seen in my lifetime and I am a musician who has played a multitude of venues in my lifetime!
i saw it in Oakland, CA. Best for me too
David Gilmour is the greatest guitarist ever, in my opinion. I was lucky enough to see them live. Their music is an experience but to experience them live...there are no words.
Eric Clapton was asked how i was to be the best guitarist in the world,
and the answer was: I dont know - ask David Gilmour!
@@DanMarksman no - the common believed story is that his response was "I don't know - ask Prince".
However, fact-checking sites like Snopes has decreed this to be false - instead simply a tweet made by someone after Prince's death.
every time you stop the music, you stop a spell! especially with Pink Floyd songs that from the first to the last note are a treasure trove of emotions.
Great reaction little lady!!! Pink Floyd is so great, such an iconic band! 🤘🤘🖤🤎 👏👏
I caught this Tour in Dallas and New Orleans and lived to tell about it. I have a hard time seeing the music videos in your posts but I love you and it's great to see you get it !!
Noooo!!! You NEVER pause during a Guitar Solo. ESPECIALLY a David Gilmour Solo!
Blasphemy!
It's actually illegal in most countries.
Remember she's never heard it and has no idea
Yes, pause during guitar solo is like to say your partner during sex: "Pause! I'll tell you how our chemical processes are working now".
@@MariusMalakauskas Exactly!
It's refreshing to see someone pause to 'react' to this performance, both physically and with some immediate thought and intuitive comment. For the record I've been a fan and listening to Pink Floyd since I took the bus into town to buy my very first LP, Dark Side of the Moon, within weeks of it's release. The fun in seeing people discover them is immense, especially when they come up with such an open and honest positive reaction. Rock on Britt!
Pink Floyd is by far the best concert I ever saw. And what socks is it was the learning to fly tour. OMG to have seen something earlier
The story behind the song is when they were on tour during the 1970’s Gilmore got sick, but due to contract obligations they could not cancel the tour. His song reflects his reaction to a shot of “Cortazone” mixed with “other stuff” and related to a sickness in his youth….
Pink Floyd started off in the late 1960ies and 70ies, so they were already 50+ when they did their Pulse-Tour, which was one of the biggest productions in music history, if not the biggest. They had three stage sets in parallel (one that was disassembled from the previous concert, one they played and a third one that was being assembled for the next concert). The light show was fully computerized, something that was unheard of/ unseen previously in 1994 - and has not been pulled off ever since to that scale as far as I know. If you liked comfortably numb, please also watch „High hopes“ from the same concert. Again: deep lyrics, great visuals and a melancholic guitar solo by David Gilmore (and the ever chiming division bell in the background!)
40+ at the time of the PULSE tour, not 50+.
They were formed in '65.
Pink Floyd seems to evoke an emotional response listening to their music 🎶 than almost any other group, if you delve deeper into it i think you will see what i mean, enjoy your journey 😉 😊🎸
Best concert I've ever seen. I caught the pulse tour in New Orleans. The stage for this show was so complex and took so long to set up that there were 3 different stages that they would rotate. That way they could get a head start at upcoming locations. Also, the lasers that they use are so powerful that they would have to reserve the airspace above open-air venues.
The song is sung from the perspective of the drugs taking to you… and the effects the drugs have on you.
One of the best guitar solos in Rock History!!!
Or rather *two* of the best solos.
One thing about the second guitar solo that has nothing to do with pausing: during the course of this song they put across the idea that he has become numb to the pain and trauma of his life. But then the second guitar solo starts, and that tells us everything we need to know about how he REALLY feels.
I saw pink floys in 1972. Best bend ever!
They started out in 1967. This song is from the album The wall, that came out in 1979.You`re in for a treat if you never heard anything before. Also check out the albums Dark side of the moon-Wish you where here.
To interrupt a guitar solo three or four times is a crime😅😅
You did it six times,go directly to jail😅😅
🤣🤣😂😂👍👍
Class A misdemeanor at least.
No one could make a guitar wail like David Gilmour! Period
Brit....in just a few days I've become a huge fan of yours. Love listening to music with you. You're funny but you looooove the music. very cool.
In these pink floyd songs the two main means of communication are through Roger Waters lyrics and David Gilmours guitar and both carry the same importance.
One of the all time greatest guitar solos, right up there with Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page!❤
I would add that you should listen to the studio version to hear Waters and Gilmours voices play off each other. You can't go wrong with Pink Floyd. Also, it's always better to listen to their whole albums instead of just songs.
It is basically about remembering being in a feverish state when you were a child, you just feel the same when as an adult and the MD asks you if you are ok, and on drugs so you can keep functioning... "Ok, relax, you have a gig on".. the distant ship going away are the sorrows and pain.. so I'm comfortably numb... This is about the song, but the performance is absolutely spectacular....
Pink Floyd began in London in 1965. At the Pulse Concert in 1994, you see 3 of 4 members of Pink Floyd from the 1960s performing at close to age 50.
Britt - love your reactions. I agree - pausing on a Gilmore solo is a faux pax. This solo live is a reason to live. However, you could not possibly have known. If you truly want to get into Floyd, or Rock in general, try the Dark side of the moon album from Floyd in its entirety. The music focused reactors typically honor the album in this way rather than carve it into pieces. The album is an experience, made up of a bunch of songs that fit
it is BEST to listen FIRST to the COMPLETE lyrics, BEFORE GUESSING all day long !!
We must remember that it was in 1994, with the technologies of that time.
The lasers, the circular screen that goes from vertical to horizontal, the 16 feet mirror ball that opens.
I can hardly imagine what they could have done with modern technologies, robotics and powerful computers.
I was at this show at Earls Court in 94, it was one of the best nights of my life.
It s pulse version not the pause😁🤕🎸
NEVER NEVER NEVER STOP A DAVID GILMOUR 'S GUITAR SOLO.
IT'S A CRIME !!!😈😠😠😠👎👎👎👎👎
settle down brewsky. There is a way to convey this types of helpful feedback without coming across as a douche-nozzle.
That was a fantastic show. Yes, I was there in 1994.
One of my first ever big concerts was this very tour in 1994 in Indianapolis. My jaw was on the floor most of the show, but during Comfortably Numb specifically... I felt transported to another plane. Absolutely breathtaking! Great reaction video !
It would be great if you did not pause during guitar solos, but IF YOU MUST, please at least rewind a few seconds before restarting. This would help to preserve some degree of continuity.
As a subscriber, I'm going to call it as I see it. I've never been more aggravated by any other reaction to this masterpiece.
Hell yeah, I had just asked if youd react to this. Excited to watch.
I'm so happy you reacted to one of the live performances. It truly enhances the experience. ❤️😊
Heads up on reaction rules " never break in on guitar solos"
Well done for being the only reactor out of about 50 that I've watched that noticed the screen tilting. I must say though that pausing during the solo is akin to getting up to make a cup of coffee half way through sex. ✌️♥️🇬🇧
An even better analogy ids EIGHT cups of Coffee because that is how many times that solo was paused:)

I was fortunate enough to see Pink Floyd live a couple of times. Their musicianship and production levels are absolutely amazing, second to none!!
The best guitar solo ever.
Other songs from this Concert to do are "Money", "Sorrow", "On the turning away" And a live version from their beginning years is the song "Echoes" Part 1 live from Pompei. No other band like them. You'll never be the same again!! And one other thing. Never ever interrupt a guitar solo from David Gilmore. You will go straight to hell!! God will not forgive you. He listens every time you do.

One of the best guitar solos of all time. Iconic
The pain in the second solo gets me every time.
You committed a cardinal sin! You must never pause, interrupt a guitar solo, especially David Gilmour.

'94 was their FINAL TOUR... i was there and I've never been the same since
I am going to risk your huge displeasure Britt because NO ONE else on RUclips could have done what you did and not got completely SLAUGHTERED as you broke EVERY rule in Rock Music. UNintentionally you did DISrespect David Gilmour, who just sold that guitar for $21,000,000 because NO ONE EVER interrupts a Gilmore Solo and you not only paused it but desecrated it into NINE pieces. When I praised my favourite RUclipsr=YOU(LOL) I DID say ONLY react if you let us see the visuals and you taunted us, UNintentional, by telling us it was stunning as we could not hardly see anything and this is NOT Copyrighted so, for once, you did not need to do this.
I love to hear your intelligent views but NOT during a guitar solo and I promise you 90% of your viewers feel the same but like you so much that they will remain silent but this Englishman from London can not let this go.
In your own time watch it again without pausing that second guitar solo as it is considered one of the greatest of all time.
Sorry Britt but someone HAD to say this😀
He auctioned them and gave the $ to charity and you're right, PF music is not highly copyrighted at all.

Two rules Pink Floyd fans request/demand, (lol),...
1), Always wear headphones when listening to PF, there is so much going on in the background, headphones are a must to hear it all.
2), Never, ever, EVER pause a David Gilmour solo!

In fact, they took their band name from two old time American Blues guitarists from the mid 1900s, they were,... PINK Anderson, (1900-1974), and FLOYD Council, (1911-1976).
The giant “ disco ball” was actually a middle finger up to some record company exec who said “ it’ll never sell because you can’t dance to it “
$98,000,000 of equipment ( mainly lights ) in use for this concert.
14 nights at Earls Court London 20k+ people each night = 280,000
Yep was great to experience this as I did in London in 1994. I was under that glitter ball, fantastic show and probably my favourite concert, good for bragging rights too 😊
You should check out the next song in this same concert,"Run Like Hell". You wonder how they could dare try to follow this with anything, but when you see it, you understand that it is the perfect song to bring the people out of the "Music coma" that this performance put them in. also, love you reactions, but too many pauses, especially to a David Gilmour solo.
One of the best reactions to this song. Always makes me emotional when younger generation react so wonderfully to music I’ve loved for decades. ❤️
Thanks for your reaction--This show was amazing--I went to see it when they came in Canada, back in 1994...amazing to see it live. An experience of a lifetime. I would suggest the song Time from the same Pulse show (remastered version, if you can find it)--with lyrics--amazing to think about your life, where you are & where you'll go). Have a nice day
