Hi, I like your recipe and planning to bake this week. I have a doubt, why it is necessary to add both lemon juice and vinegar? They both serve same function right?

Glad you liked my recipe .. true that both lemon juice and vinegar serve the same purpose of making the batter more acidic ,preventing the beets from getting oxidised and hence retains the red colour .. to balance the taste , both are added , adding only one in large qty will pop up in taste .
