Thank you so much for the recipe 😊 I have tried the green colour. But according to the mentioned procedure I got army green/ mehendi colour. I tried again by using very less sugar(1/2-1 spoon) and NO lemon juice and it came out well “leaf green colour”. It did not crystallise because of adding less sugar. It did not have any flavour of Palak even before adding sugar. So, we can use it without sugar and lemon juice too. I hope this will help those who are trying for the first time😊
@@meirfan4657 yes, you can use it undoubtedly according to what I have mentioned. I have used this for my son’s birthday cake. I have used homemade orange flavour to this gel/green colour palak juice after cooking.

If we are making with Beetroot for the food colour. And using for cupcakes, cakes or anything. the taste will come beetroot also smell... It's natural but the smell and taste will come. 😌 It's good 👍Keep it up.

Very lovely thing to do not scaring you but you must ask your vet before you do that and avoid adding any chocolate products my cutiepie had a lot health problems and infection because i didn't really know what to feed him so I use to give him my normal food that we eat and now I miss him u can understand why

@@ayatrajput4883 No, because she is using the concentrated juice not the pulp and adding a LOT of sugar and cooking it. If you try to do it with raw cabbage...you WILL get the cabbage taste..but if you follow her instructions and add the sugar, lemon juice, vanilla and do all the grinding and straining and condensing and heating THAT is why there is no bad taste !
@@olamideomotayo-akeju6350 Sugar is a major preservative as is lemon juice. Also, she said it keeps IN THE FRIDGE for up to three months, NOT at room temp!. I'd agree with her...I've done a lot of canning of berries and you have to be really careful around natural food preservation, canning and making even these recipes. I was trained to always use sterilized canning jars (boil for a time based on your elevation.) I boil mine for 7 minutes to sterilize) I think that it would be best to start with carefully washed and sterilized jars with these recipes as well to lessen bacterial or fungal contamination.

I prefer eating as organic and natural as possible, so this definitely useful information. I really appreciate your channel!
I practice natural dyes with Pacific NW (US) Plants, lichens and mushrooms and have done a lot of color modification with vinegar and soda ash. Lime also works. Obviously, you don't want to add vinegar, soda ash or washing soda to food, but I'm excited to explore color modification with foods..I so enjoy doing this on wool, silks and also on cellulose fibers like cotton. This is a way to teach chemistry to children that they would LOVE. I highly suggest that teachers learn to teach chemistry this way...it'd be a real hit with high-school aged kids especially...I've done natural dyeing with our Quercus garryana (Oregon White Oak) in classroom settings. The kids get to learn about Garry Oak ecoysystems, traditional uses for acorns, how to harvest and prepare the shells for dyeing pouches and then, best of all, they make acorn cookies by pureeing them and leaching them of bitter tannins. When they've ingested these acorns and are wearing their pouches proudly I know they will think about preserving our local oaks as they now have a personal relationship to them. Bravo on this lovely video!

Many many thanks for this in-depth demo.. I have a couple of questions.. (1) does the colour of frosting become darker and deeper the more colour we add to it? (2) does the colour separate from frosting when it’s been sitting for a while? Just wondering if the colour will leak out. It makes sense to boil the colour with sugar into a syrup so any separation wouldn’t happen. (3) are we able to mix these colours to create a new colour? Thank you so much again. Very excited to try these out.
You can use anniato for orange. In Puerto Rico is typical to use it but we boil the seeds in oil but you can try boiling them in water. The Taínos use them very much to dye.

Why don't you try using gelling sugar.? This sugar also has pectin in it.

Many many thanks for this in-depth demo.. I have a couple of questions.. (1) does the colour of frosting become darker and deeper the more colour we add to it? (2) does the colour separate from frosting when it’s been sitting for a while? Just wondering if the colour will leak out. It makes sense to boil the colour with sugar into a syrup so any separation wouldn’t happen. (3) are we able to mix these colours to create a new colour? Thank you so much again. Very excited to try these out.

You can use anniato for orange. In Puerto Rico is typical to use it but we boil the seeds in oil but you can try boiling them in water. The Taínos use them very much to dye.
