Anytime I want to feel better about my problems I watch this channel. Life isn’t that bad and everyone is fighting their own fight. May God protect you two through the tribulations of this journey!
Thanks for posting this video of Camp Scholler. My wife and I have been planning to attend t Airventure and stay in Camp Scholler for several years, only to have medical issues spoil our plans. So we watch videos posted by the campers, which is how we found your video. Again, thank you for posting this video!
Nice video. I will subscribe. I've been going to EAA every year since 1987, and with my girlfriend since 1996. Started off sleeping in my car, to a tent with a/c, to a travel trailer. The EAA campgounds are a cut above most permanent campgrounds. Especially when you consider it is only for a few weeks. Electric and water/sewer are slowly being expanded to the West each year. Much to the chagrine of the dry campers. I volunteer in the mornings with the kids parking cars, and then work with the various CAF units on the field, or have the rest of the day off. Our volunteer camping area is next to the Blue lot, and only a block from the SOS Bros. beer tent. So, our group hits the beer tent every night for many adventures. Love to touch base with you when you hit the beer tent. Just look for the "Devil Dog" B-25 guys usually between the bar and kitchen. We would love to hear some of your Rv stories. First round is on me! Craig H.
We seen your rig, but never ran across you outside. We camped in the generator area out west towards the interstate, in our hybrid. But friends of ours were a few coaches down from you. I took my girlfriend there for the first time last year (I’ve been going for a few years) and now AirVenture week is the first weeks vacation we schedule! Angie, she completely agrees with you, the outhouses, shower houses and grounds are the cleanest and best maintained, that you’ll ever find! And....it doesn’t last LONG ENOUGH!!! LOL Safe travels and hopefully we’ll catch up with you next year! Osh23!!
Lived in Oshkosh for 28 years. Owned and operated a high end audio store for 13 years in downtown Oshkosh. Worked for Oshkosh Chassis Division for 5 years, then Freightliner purchased the division (motorhomes/step vans/school buses). Relocated us to Portland, Oregon (corp hq) as manager of call center. After 6 years, accepted a Technical Sales Managers position for the new Freightliner Custom Chassis Division (motorhome division in Gaffney, SC.) I was the factory representative for FCCC and my major accounts were Tiffin, Winnebago, and Triple E of Canada. Spent most of my time at Tiffin and Winnebago. Tiffin people are amazing, Bob Tiffin was the most dedicated customer service person ever. He would do anything for his customers. Maybe when you have another concern with your chassis, you can either bring it to the factory repair center (the best and most experienced technical people in the US.) Or call the customer assistance call center (24/7) at 1 800 FTL HELP. We were there to help all of the people who purchased FCCC chassis. They are great customer service people, who have years of experience on both the technical and customer service side. If needed the very best person to talk is Tony Sipple who is the Director of Sales (was the technical sales manager for a number of mfg in the Elkhart area.) Years of experience (an engineer) and knows everyone in our industry. Don't tell him I told you to call. But any of the CSR's will help and work with you and the dealership. That is there job to handle problems and concerns. Good luck and please ask for help if you need it. The factory people are great. You can also tour the production plant here in Gaffney, SC, and we have hook ups at the service facility for when you coach is being serviced. Lived in Gaffney now 20 years, and enjoy the town and all my years at Freightliner Custom Chassis. Last position was with Detroit Diesel as the Southeastern Regional Parts Manager.
I've watched your videos for a while and never realized you were fellow aviators. That's cool. My first Oshkosh was in '73, when I was in college. Been back sporadically throughout the years since. I've been to SNF probably more only because it's closer and the lodging is more plentiful in the area there. Lately OSH has become the much better show. SNF has basically the same setup for RV's, spots with water, elect. for a select few VIPs.
Been to the event 3 times. Always stayed with the locals. It is nice to spend the week and pace yourself. After a day in heat, I would go sit in a AC theater and watch anything to cool off. Air show gave inspiration for building a Murphy Rebel. No longer flying. Highlight was watching Hoover and Yeager onstage together telling old stories.
I haven't been to AirVenture since 2014. The best times camping there was under the wing of the plane I flew to the show. There used to be a 3 night minimum for camping, I've never used all 3 nights.
I have to thank you for the great RV coverage of the event. I live in WI now and inherited the Company of Eagles from my best friend that used to supply some of the vendors at the show with insignia's. I want to bring my RV and do the show sometime and was wondering what it was like from the RV perspective. I am rebuilding the company with the bullion patches and other stuff. Keep the video's coming!
We would love to get to be part of your home hurt. My wife a I watch ALL the house hunter shows. Good luck in this market. Please think about a weekly update... It great to follow along, even on your general daily lifes
People of culture I see! I used to fly to Oshkosh every year back in what I would call it’s golden era. Pitched my tent under the wing of my boss’s Beech 18. Fond memories.
Just stumbled upon this Video an this is great What more could a Aussie man ask for Jet fuel,Big Boobs , Camping, air show,RV Show . Great views a few beers and that’s my type of heaven
You guys drove very near my house in Alabama below Birmingham on your way to Florida. My friend has a Tiffin as well and I got to spend a weekend in it. Very comfortable motorhome. He and his wife are living in it full time now (retired) and traveling the country. BTW, I love the colors on your coach!
So there I was searching Oshkosh vids, and here I am seeing some familiar faces! Look at you two with the RV youtube channel! Great seeing you both again, what a great week it was! Take care & see ya next year 😀 Jason
Just stumbled upon your channel and it's cool to hear about your experiences, especially this one about staying in Oshkosh (and attending the EAA event). I would like to go to this part of the country at some point, especially since my 91 year old dad lives in Winneconne, WI (about 15 miles from there). Plus, during my youth our family had a summer cabin north of there in Eagle River. I love your beautiful Tiffin diesel-pusher, and know when it comes to RV-ing it's at the 'top-of-the-food-chain' and the envy of a lot of travelers. I live in San Diego and have a 35' 2002 National Dolphin 5456 Class A, with a Workhorse (8.1L gas) chassis, with about 20k miles on it. It can pull a vehicle, but would rather not attempt to pull either my car or Ford Bronco behind it, especially on all the mountainous grades we have out here in the West. So, I'm in the process of building a very nice motorcycle trailer (from Harbor Freight) to pull my BMW K1200GT behind it so my significant other and I have another vehicle (like you and other RVers do). Anyways, I look forward to seeing more of your videos and hearing about your experiences (good or bad), so keep them coming!
Just came across this video. I work for Pepsi and pretty lived out there that week! Lol I saw you guys on the grounds a few times. I also have a RUclips channel Wendt Outdoors with me kids!
The first time I ever went was in a Cheyenne and it was crazy landing there. I fly a Phenom 300 now and the FBO is great compared to Fun n Sun IMO. Safe travels.
My dad and I was there in the 80's. Dont remember what year but the Italian air force performed that year. We had a VW camper van. Parked in the campground and ended up between 2 huge class A motorhomes. It made for some hot nights with no a/c but wd had a great time.
Oh now I'm really jealous! I'm a pilot and had tickets to go there, but no way to make it there. Next year for sure. I'll fly my own plane in there. I finally got my certificate and I'll fly there.
Hey there gus,. This is Randy and I'm friends with your friend Adam from Menonomie and we did karate together am, sorry that I missed you we were camping, there until Monday not in the same section that you were, but we should definitely need to hook up next year during the EAA and hang out during .
Angie has an easier easy listening voice and cuts directly to the point in hand. Try being silent steady cam once in a while, hold the camera lower, stand back, bring Angie gently forward to the mic and lens, view your own footage, make it more equal, above all don't record with engines running so near you. Still a good show but it could be a great one.
*Newly Updated Safety Suggestions; I just happened to see your channel, and others similar channels recently, and I think that you, and others sharing their actual reality, and some have expressed some of the up, and down sides to van, RV, or vehicle living. Although, I just noticed your RUclips channel, and other similar channels, displaying van living. I just wanted to remind everyone to Aware Be of your surroundings and Alert, I just posted this anyway to help anyone who may benefit from these suggestions I believe that it is very helpful, and beneficial to others who may be thinking about this type of living without actually thinking through, about the some of the realistic problems that could occur with vehicle or van living etc... People need to know what up sides there are, as well as some of the down sides of vehicle living. I believe this channel, and other channels have been informative to others, including myself. Although, I am NOT living in a vehicle or anything like this. I feel that you , and others RUclipsrs sharing this with your viewers will be very helpful. I wish you ALL the Best with your traveling endeavors. I shared this with several other travelers, as I watched their RUclips channel for the first time, as yours, and I shared with them this information that may be helpful to you as well to others. Therefore, I would also like to suggest a few Safety tips, and items that may help you, or others in your viewing audience. Although, you may have knowledge of this already, I am not sure, so I hope this will be helpful to you, others or someone. *Keep a Extra working cellphone with you or in your vehicle. You can purchase inexpensive phone with a very low monthly price between 25, 35, 45, dollars a month with unlimited data and text, and some have Nationwide coverage Do your research for the best fit for you Carry Several Extra portable phone chargers, and cables. Consider theses items: *Mini portable power charging station. I have also seen outdoor portable solar powered power stations, that can be recharged from sunlight this may be very useful to have, to power your devices. *Invest in a Cellular signal booster for outdoor use, and camping situations to boost or amplify your cell signal and reception. Consider also the purchase of a WiFi signal booster to also boost your WiFi signal. Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone. There are some satellite SOS texting messaging, locator devices that will send messages with your phone even if there isn’t any cellular signal, or WiFi. With this device your can still text, and communicate with others in a emergency satellite transmission. Check online, for various emergency SOS products, some are small to fit in the palm of your hand. You can check online, and on Amazon, research what SOS devices will be a good fit for you. *Mini portable vehicle battery jumper charger *vehicle battery jumper cables *Vehicle Jumper cables *Keep a Fire extinguisher handy Carbon monoxide detectors can be helpful *Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly. Use your own discretion regarding the use of any weapons. Don’t forget to bring Bear Spray Pepper spray Where is allowed If you own a drone you can use it to survey your area for animals etc. However, Please Be Safe and Beware of your Surroundings. Stay Alert, and Be Safe even when stopping at Rest stops, Truck Stops, and conducting your various tasks. Keep in often contact with your family, friends etc. Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions. Keep your vehicle gas filled Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty. Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on. Remember to keep up on routine maintenance, check your tires for wear, keep up with your fluids for your vehicle, like oil levels, washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze. Remember Because you are on the road riding for sometimes very long distances, and long periods of time, I would suggest investing in 2 sets of tires, and a spare, the extra set to rotate. Check the mileage ratings on your tires they all very. Conduct visual inspections of your tires often, check for damage, wearing, air pressure, etc Keep a pressure gauge to check your tires pressure and a tire pump. Keep towing insurance to Be Safe if you ever need it. It Doesn’t cost much try to get National coverage if available, or where you will be traveling. Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors. I guess I'm first! (commenting anyway, 454 views though) I watched the whole video first too!! You two must have just posted this video. That was fun to watch. You guys have been together a long time. I can't imagine having to fill that huge RV up. I get annoyed filling up my Ford Escape which only has a 16 gallon tank. Looks like you guys were smart and worked hard and are really enjoying life.
@@irritatedtraveler haha I still worried for ya. I’m a divorced Dad with 5 kiddos and found your channel the other day. It’s kept me entertained and I really like your RV. I enjoy your travels and adventure .
we were there and walked by your rig and knew it was you because the puppy was outside. saw you sitting in your lawn chair. it's amazing how clean the dumpsters and outhouses were and when we drove away on Sunday pretty much every space was left as it was found nice and clean. did you get to go to the Maverick movie Friday night? wasn't that insane
If you want power and water, they start selling those spots at the end of June. Watch the page a couple times a day until they start to sell about 1/2 of the spots. Once that happens the rest will go in a matter of hours. Normally, those spots sell out 2 weeks in advance of the show. If you don't need power and water, you can buy a spot a day or so in advance, however, it may be a mile or so from the airfield. They do run busses all day.
Thank you, I’m planning on going next year. I’m hoping they let me arrive a day or so before, and I’d like to stay for the whole thing. love the videos, thanks again
I miss the times you can attend a event or occasion where you're so comfortable you can walk away from a open door RV and stroll with no concern of someone tampering with it. This needs to happen everywhere.
1, Congratulation, on 30 years together. I guess it's true what they say, "If a girl will sleep with you in a tent, she's a Keeper"! 2, I had to laugh. 10,000 white people, in Wisconsin, no trash on the ground, clean dumpsters, and you guys walk away from your open RV with your stuff out on the table. Shocking! lol! 3.OK where's at least 1 picture from your first trip? We. Well I need a Now & Then side by side. lol! Do you work in the Air industry
@@irritatedtraveler I have a son in the Airforce he loves it! He signed up for 6 years I think he will retire! 22 years old! So proud! Barksdale Aiforce base in Louisiana!
I spent a lot of serious quality time as a guest of the Army at Camp Humphreys in Korea as a defense contractor. Some of the most impressive helicopter pilots I've ever seen.
I'd respectfully suggest you try something different. A couple day stay at a nice clothing optional campground. I suspect subscriptions and channel views will soar.
Why not just pump it at the pump..def. Save your containers and fill a couple for emergencies. Def used to be 2.99$/gal two years ago. I’m guessing you are retired?
@@irritatedtraveler Oh.. yuck to this pee stuff lol. I’ve put water in mine before when I’m a pinch and so far nothing bad. But it’s only been two times. Stick with the Loves! I’ve had bad diesel before too.. but it didn’t stop me from buying at a truck stop again lol. 20$ for 2 1/2 gallons is outrageous… when they do that
My uncle flew the p 38 and was shot down in Germany . He was helping a man that brought one up in Iceland and it went to Ohio to Wright Patterson this was in the early 90s .Great era for war planes lots of style The b 24d in Ohio is a awesome plane but the name makes it The strawberry bitch

Consider also the purchase of a WiFi signal booster to also boost your WiFi signal.
Research to see what you prefer.

Maybe get one of those lay down type foldable beach shade umbrellas so Sake’ can have some shade in his pen.
We were there for the whole week also!
Great Channel!🇬🇧
So good to see y’all back again! Been missing your adventures. It looks and sounds like your rig is running good?! Kobear
Lol my anxiety level after seeing you walk away with your door open 😳😂🤔
LOL! You could leave bars of gold sitting out there and nobody would touch them!!
@@irritatedtraveler haha I still worried for ya. I’m a divorced Dad with 5 kiddos and found your channel the other day. It’s kept me entertained and I really like your RV. I enjoy your travels and adventure .
@@irritatedtraveler we never lock up except when turning in for the evening.
Awesome got to love those sounds of freedom.
Wow. Angie rocks!
Great vid. Thanks. Never buying an R.V.
She wants an old school "camping with steve (big youtuber)" style kicker, lets see a 90's tent camp reunion.
I love having a camp fire ,,, actually I heat my house with wood love the smell of wood burning in the cool weather
Angie looking amazing as usual! Goodness gracious!😍😍😍 What does your husband do for a living? Is he retired. He has an airline pilot look to him.
Have you two ever checked out the Villages in FL for a home? I think you would really like it there! They have everything!
We live there for one year and couldn’t got out of there quick enough. Ok if your in your ninety’s.
Hey guys! You should have given me a call and we could have met up for lunch as you came though the 'ham. :-) You guys take care and safe travels!
We will!
we were there and walked by your rig and knew it was you because the puppy was outside. saw you sitting in your lawn chair. it's amazing how clean the dumpsters and outhouses were and when we drove away on Sunday pretty much every space was left as it was found nice and clean. did you get to go to the Maverick movie Friday night? wasn't that insane
Should have stopped by and said hi!
How is the flight training going?
Great so far!
If you guys ever need a road house keeper! I’m available. Free work for the Exchange experience on the road 😊 that’s worth it.
Looks cold 😂
Mike did you get your license yet?
What's your beef with wood burning?
I know for a fact you two know how to have fun!!
Could you tell me about your dog fence set up? I'm looking for something just like it. Did you buy it online?
It's a 36" dog fence from Amazon - we have three of them that we connect together. It's fast to setup and take down for travel!
@@irritatedtraveler Thank you!
Good thing y’all talk over the outside noise
Thanks!
Great adventure video. Hey Angie - what is the device you are wearing on your top? A microphone?
Yes a Rode wireless mic.
Any pointers on how to secure an rv spot at EAA as I want to take my motorhome next year
If you want power and water, they start selling those spots at the end of June.
Gas price is crazy, They want but everyone in a EV, I had to stay home this year.
Angie is so cute
Booming!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Now you are getting it....MORE VIEWS MORE HER......Green top has 1 million views.......
Seeing those planes, I say “Merica!” 🫡
Good video 😀 are you a pilot
Working on it!
I miss the times you can attend a event or occasion where you're so comfortable you can walk away from a open door RV and stroll with no concern of someone tampering with it. This needs to happen everywhere.
Hell ya, Sweet Home Alabama......Welcome!
Am I missing something?
When the sun is behind you when you are shooting you are dark
Makes a great effect doesn't it?
After seeing your diesel bill i see why people are camping in a prius
You should downsize term Mercedes-Benz sprinter and do more adventure stuff and you will get way more of an audience!!!
Making us live in a sprinter van together would definitely bring more of an audience - everyone loves to see drama and divorce!!!
@@irritatedtraveler lmao true story
Hi guys
We're you ever in the Airforce?
Army
@@irritatedtraveler I thought I detected a soldier! GO ARMY!
Maybe on our final RV trip!
Why not just pump it at the pump..def. Save your containers and fill a couple for emergencies. Def used to be 2.99$/gal two years ago. I’m guessing you are retired?
We used to use it from the pump but got bad DEF at one truck stop and it stranded us.
20$ for 2 1/2 gallons is outrageous… when they do that
Florida is a good place for flight training, but Texas is the Cheapest if you want to save some money
one lucky guy, wife is smoking hot
The organizer drives a VW
Show some planes that You like up close on the ground.
I wish we could but EAA has a strict video policy when inside the event grounds.
Had to cut to 7 days from 10 due to fuel prices? LGB!!
Are y'all airline employees? Tell something about yourselves.
I had a plastic model of that plane when I was a kid!
Actually it was Greenland
O stop it
