This is why I bought a 1979 Airstream Class A last year, well built, very simple by today's standards, very cheap, and repaired and updated it myself. Wife and I now have one of the most unique Class A's on the road, very reliable, paid for, and few problems.

Your experiences are certainly eye opening to say the least! You're both way more patient than I would have been. I wish you had recorded the conversations you had with these dealers for everyone to hear.

I just recently found your channel here and I can't believe how both of you are so good-natured and calm in the face of these continued problems with multiple motorhomes. I can certainly see how you arrived at your title of Irritated Traveler. At least in this case you were able to get them to buy the rig back along with the cost of your other repairs etc. When you arrived at the dealership to finally turn this rig in and they told you they didn't have room for it and it was up to you to decide what to do with it, I think I would have probably just handed them the keys and said, "you bought it back, it's all yours now". Having owned several RV's myself over the years, I think the only thing worse than car dealerships is RV dealerships and repair shops.

We broke down after just hours into our trip. Difficult to find a towing company that wants to hook up a 45ft motorhome. That took 6 hrs to get organized. Then we had to wait three day's to have repaired.
I definitely feel for you guy's as it is a huge inconvenience. Love you videos but hopefully you'll have better luck with your new coach. All the best !!!

Holy Cow...you guys must really be motivated to get into the full time RV life to be able to put up with all that BS! Hopefully you will get your newest one sorted so that you can start enjoying the travel and freedom that living full time can provide. My best friend just traded in his older Class A and bought a 2020 Renegade Valencia 35MB Super C (based on a Freight Liner chassis) in MO and drove it home to TN...since the Canadian Border is still closed and he couldn't come up here to AK. So far he's had no issues and loves it! Best of luck on your coming adventure!

I hear you. I bought a brand new GM suburban and it was in the shop 62 days in the first 4 months. GM kept delaying the lemon law hearing. I was able to drive it but it sounded like a race boat with that deep throaty sound. It would just die in the middle of the road. It smelt me gas inside the vehicle when I filled up. The front driver seat would break away from the floor if you accelerated at a stop light. My costs end after three major repair attempts which was only 3 month into owning it. Every payment I made after that I knew I was getting back. GM kept delaying for over 2 and a half years. I finally said this is crazy I want to get this resolved. So finally I showed up for my designated hearing. GM didn't even show up so I was awarded all my costs after the 3 repair attempt. It ended up being well over 30K plus ongoing payments till I got paid. They had to pay me within 60 days. Well 60 days came and went ended up cally the attorney General and she couldn't believe they hadn't paid so she called them and they said they would get it out in the mail. 30 more days go by. Called again then another 10 days before I go word to pick up the check from the dealership. GM was being fined $1,000.00 per day they were late paying me which was 40 days. The attorney General said if I agreed to the delay they would wave the 40K Fine. Being the bright guy that I am I called GM and told them I could make the 40K fine dissappear so make me an offer a n d I'll agree to the delay they saidtheyhad to check with legal. A few days later I got a call saying they couldn't offer me anything and that most respectable companies just pay their fines. To which I replied I think most respectable companies would have handled this whole process better so go ahead and enjoy paying your fine. I have talked dozens of people out of buy GM vehicles and I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT. So overall it cost them over 70K plus the loss of several sales. Not to smart.

This series just convinced me not to buy an motor coach. The more systems you have, the more things can go wrong. We recently flew the National Lampoon's Vacation route (Chicago-California) on our Cessna 172 at low altitude VFR (visual flight rules). Because of the load we had I could only fuel @ 59% capacity, but we stopped one or twice at every state. Airport courtesy car for the day. Cozy hotel/motels. No issues except some low visibility that grounded us for one night in Springfield Mo. Beautiful trip driving or flying low altitude.

Oh my goodness wait a second, the first two you purchased were new..?!?? What!!??? Oh my goodness. Wow.. oh geez I'm blown away..
Oh I'd be frightened to drop that off without signing paperwork. And listen it's very important whenever you're suing someone, so that you know when you shall be paid. You write it into that contract, you will pay back at such and such time if you do not every month you will accrue 5% penalty fee of total cost. If not paid in full by such and such date. All signatures, needed for end of sale. Have him right up a contract, of all the issues and all the things that whenever you go there to drop off trade or do what you're doing. They are signing that contract. I guarantee you those individuals were hoping you were going to just say take it back. Leave it. And then they would make it disappear. And proclaim hey we want our truck back we're ready. From that dealership. How insanely shady these people are. But seriously you can have your lawyer draw up that type of contract and it's always good to put on the dotted line that if they don't pay you, they will have a percentage accrue every month on the total cost of what is owed if not paid by such and such date.
Drop it off make them sign the paperwork. And be done. And I guarantee you, when a lawyer goes after someone like that and they definitely don't want to take it to court. And you put on the dotted line that if you don't pay me by such and such date, they will earn a percentage off of the total owed. They will pay you so fast.
My mother should have been a lawyer, that's what her lawyer said. Although she's an engineer. Not far off. Details. She loved details. Just like my great grandfather.
Walmart purchased our farmland. Walmart thought they were getting a steal of a deal. 1.7 million. Except on the contract they signed, my grandfather stipulated. Every Barn every house everything must be moved brick by brick and plank by plank nail by nail everything as is must be moved. Once they started, Walmart was in over their head. They immediately stifled so my great-grandfather took them to court. Thank goodness they had a wonderful judge country judge. Good old man right around the area that my grandfather was from. And he did not take a liking, to what they were doing to my great grandfather. As a matter of fact they canceled and delayed so much. The judge said, you're making this man spend into the very money that you paid for that land. Which you got quite cheap. He said they had to follow the dotted line brick by brick plank by plank nail by nail and he also awarded my grandfather 2.2 million dollars for them delaying and manipulation against their own contract. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha 😂😂 🥰🥳
His new farm absolutely beautiful. Picturesque and quiet. The town is not encroaching on him. He does not sit and look at the mountains anymore. And of course he's crossed over to the other side of life. But his new farm, having its own water source. Exceptionally quiet and private. Absolutely heavenly. And Walmart had to move everything brick by brick plank by plank everything nail by nail even screw by screw. Hahahahahaha hilarious 😆

Don’t do it. Trust me for Gods sake. This has been my dream since I used to go with my grandparents as a child. I did the jump in 2020. Every day since has been every bit of a nightmare. I went with a fifth wheel but after three years of sitting in park’s waiting I get to talk to many many people. The stories are all the same.
Most importantly, if you don’t have a min of 50 grand in the bank for repairs only. You will be stuck somewhere with no options. There will be no help for you and you will regret even thinking you would be able to “camp”.

    Hi Angie & Mike,
I imagine how frustrating it have been with all those problems. I don't know about RV's too much but I follow some other channels of people living on the road and instead of buying an RV they buy an old school bus and transform in their home. Some people do themselves, the way they want and others take to companies that does for them, they called "skoolie" maybe you already know about those skoolie and check them out before deciding to buy a RV but if not and if you still have problems with your RV maybe you should think in buying a big old school bus and transform in your own home the way you want it and making sure that some of the problems you are having will not happen on your "skoolie". Good luck on your journey. ;-)

Guys. I like you. With all seriousness don't buy these new age garbage RVs. RV life IS AMAZING if you do iT RIGHT. Buy a Older Winnibago or Airstream. Sadly those are the best you can get. Im not aware of any other good manufacturers unfortunately. Maybe there is another but the only ones I know that would satisfy your type of wants and not be cheaply made junk winnies and airs. Im not poor and i chose a 89 Winnie cheifttain 31 foot and I been living in it full time for 3 years and I bought it for $5000 and in 3 years done about $3000 worth work. $1000 each year which is regular upkeep money when you use something 24 7. Just a piece of advice. You guys seem like good people. Good luck. PS. When you buy older someone else already worked out most the issues too.

Exactly what I think. They all pull from the same parts bin from Prevosts and Newells down to the inexpensive brands. It's just a matter of how they assemble them mostly. Of course, the bespoke pieces, like a wet bay that's a work of art, cabinets, paint, are amazing, but things like water/holding tanks, water heaters, etc., are all the same.
