This happens when birds are beginning to nest. They see their reflection in your windows and are trying to fight off competition. This has happened to our home and our camper during the bird migration on Lake Erie. Robins at home cardinals at Maumee Bay. We have covered windows with plastic paint drop to stop the reflection.
yes! Has happened at my home for 3 seasons in a row.. We were clueless for a long while too and suddenly somebody posted about on internet and it made complete sense why it would behave like that.
you all have been such a blessing to the entire family, by being proactive with the land purchase, to the advance warnings and preparation, not only does the family have peace of mind that their animals that are on site are safe, but the added bonus is that it frees the family up to help other family members without having to be concerned about their animals as well. Well Done.
In the Navy we call it a “Shake down cruuse”. Been RVing since ‘93, would never EVER not have a Shakedown Cruuse! Close to home is the best way to check out everything!
You parked in the bird's spot! 🤣 Seriously, good you put the towel out. Bird could have hurt himself. Totally agree with taking your RV to a location close to home for the first trip of the season, Good advice. Thanks for another good video. Love watching you at the campground, Oh..the bird came back.....guess it loves your Newmar. Looking forward to what's ahead,

@@EndlessRVing I think the bird thought the window was an open space, open, so they can fly in. I think he wanted to get into, the rv, thinking its a warm place to be. It does not understand what glass is. Its an invisible barrier.
Birds are territorial. It spots another bird in it's reflection in your window and is trying to scare the intruder out of it's area. It may help if you have a window awning or patio awning to reduce the sun's glare on the window.
Enjoy seeing your Pups & their enjoyment too. Big deal for them to join in family fun. Can't always do it, but sure is a great addition to life having them along. Just Kids, is all they are.
Reflection makes the bird think it’s a clear path. Bird safety glass is used on high rises for the first so many floors to prevent birds from flying into the glass.
Really nice video Great to see your batteries done so well. The best I could remember is heat like a heater, water heater , or even a toaster will pull a lot of ampere . Thanks for sharing the video with us.
🤣 My son had a Robin that did that to his patio door. When he covered the outside so he couldn't see himself, he took to using his truck driver's side window and door, as a toilet! 🤣🤣 Once nesting season was over, he stopped.
We had the same bird thing at a campground recently. We got there in the afternoon and were only staying one night, so didn't worry about it too much. And we have cats and they loved it
We went to a campground here in CT where a Pileated woodpecker kept attacking RV windows .... essentially breaking them. He’d see his reflection in them thinking there was another male in the area...wild crazy thing. I’d never seen such a giant woodpecker. Nature is amazing. Glad the bird you encountered was okay...We don’t know what ever happened to the woodpecker we saw. I love your pitties...I commented in another video that we have a one... and we adore her ❤️
I grew up in the country in NH abd not until I was 50 years old had I ever heard of the pileated woodpecker! I finally saw one very close up in Greenfield , NH where I owned 50 acres of deciduous woods and that’s where this 15”-18” bird lived! He was amazing. He looked out of place walking up my pine tree. He was huge!
Nice RV! You could try putting a decal on the window that is suppose to keep birds from flying into the windows. We have spider web decals on house windows, fortunately we haven’t had birds fly into our rv windows yet. Although had one try to build a nest under a slide out while at Killens pond state park

The bird was wanting to try something new, go camping with the three of you.😀😀. That was it’s way of saying let me in so I can go. It wanted in at that window so it could sit on Izzy’s shoulder to see where y’all were going. That’s great information about going out on a short shake down camping trip. We ❤️the get away from the noisy people, that area checked all of the boxes. 👍👍👍👍

I was staying at a golf course I guess you could call it a bungalow and we had a red bird that would run into the window over and over until we put some food outside then he would wake us up every morning crack of dawn to let us know he was hungry 😁
We had the same experience with the bird at home. We can't said it didn't got hurt because all the marks it left to our windows. No dead bird were found around the house. Definitely will check how to avoid this problem again.
Spring is in the air. Mating season! Territorial birdfare.. in FL bright red Cardinals (males) attack everything that reflects themselves. Mirrors, windows, on & on year after year...... Enjoyed video!
Hi New to your vidio. Maybe that bird was a left over from Alfred Hitchcock movie THE BIRD'S....Lol Enjoyed your vidio. Wishing safe travels....Happy Camping... Your RV is Gourgous!
Never had crazy Angry birds attack our RV, but I've had squirrels chew at the injector wiring on our last coach. But animals can get territorial, especially in spring. Glad your solution sorta helped. 😁 Can't wait to see what's coming next!
I've experienced birds flying into my deck window. I've heard they can actually break their neck and die from this so good you mitigated that issue. "Little balls." That's funny.
So happy you guys love animals and will go out of your way to help them. Love seeing the dogs. Your beautiful soul baby has eyes like my Eddie. I also agree with the others. That was just the birds territory and probably has a nest close by. Excited to see the rest of the seasons videos.
Thanks Charmaine. Yes the eyes go right into the heart. ❤️ Lots of awesome trips/videos coming over this year. Stay tuned and as always thanks for your support!!
Thanks for the video. Looks like you were in site 4, we were there April 1 & 2. Beautiful park! Just passing thru on our maiden winter in FL, back to VT until it’s warmer. Happy trails!

Glad I watched so I could hear MJ say it was Easter weekend. It reminded me most RUclipsrs videos are not in real time. We went to Thousand Trails in Williamsburg the week before Easter & came home the day b4. Since then in a lot of videos people r talking about getting ready for 1st trip or r on 1st trip & kept thinking "Did we start early this year?" so this was e real "duhh" moment for me. 😄 We didn't follow your guidelines very well. We were 4-4.5 hours away if we needed to get home. One good thing was it got cold so we used our heat for the 1st time (Just bought it in July). Worked great! Only used briefly and used our little plug in oscillating tower heater which did the job and didn't have to burn propane. Our Transcend TT is just under 31' and it kept the whole thing warm enough and still had 1-2 more levels of heat to go on it. Was nice to find that out now.
We just experienced the exact same thing when we were camped in Black Canyon of the Gunnison. for 7 days, this Robin/ Oriole kept flying into the windows. eventually I hung towels Just like you guys did on the outsides to decrease the reflection, he was doing it with our truck as well.
I have the same problem with the birds here in Vegas they keep hitting my window and or the dining room window. I don’t know why that is or how to stop it. My dog freaks out. Glad you it stopped for a while. Looks like a nice quiet park you were at. Glad the test tun worked for the batteries. Great job Izzy and Mj!
@@1957jmhiser1 Yea, when I heard about that I just laughed. Sometimes they run into the window so hard they knock themselves out. I imagine they're thinking they just got their butt kicked by a really tough bird.

Noticed you have a ceiling light in the back of the bus that flickers as you are driving in the opening minutes of your video. Maybe just the lighting or camera. Worth a check.
Had a Cardinal attack the back of our 5th wheel. We started our YT channel thinking we would rate different campgrounds and give people a heads up as to what to expect because we’ve dealt with campgrounds that aren’t paved and if they use recycled concrete we find so much reinforcement wire and nails (like a lot) in the roads in the campground and we are always shocked that no one seems to care like we do because we’ve talked to other campers (at these campgrounds) and when we mention this they act like it’s not a big deal to them. It’s kinda scary thinking how many people could have a blowout because of this & how dangerous it could be.
The crushed concrete they buy is cheaper because the facility didn’t remove all of the metal. They sell crushed concrete without metal. It must be specified by the buyer.
Thank you for sharing. Being up at the crack of dawn, that be my Aggie (Bull mastiff & Cane Corso mix) and me. She will lean across me and whining till I get up to take her out .
Hey guys, Max from Australia, love your videos. I will be marrying my Texas lady this year. We will be spending our time going forward between Aus and the USA. We are in the process of ordering a 1492 RV. I think you guys are talking about changing your R/V, i like the one you have. How have you found the Ford V10. Max and Kath😊
What state are you in? First time watcher ✌️hey I also see some suggestions for that bird problem,so here’s mine, you buy a plastic owl and just set it on the roof of your RV when parked, birds will not go near owls , if you notice on some buildings in the city’s they will have a row of plastic owls on there roofs, it’s to keep the pigeons off there roofs, I seen this myself a few years back and thought to myself wth , why are those plastic owls everywhere? Well now I know and so do you 😃👍
Apparently you were parked to close to her nest of eggs. I miss seeing Robins a bird of the north. Looks like a good first trip out. Maybe add a magna shade to that side window to keep birds from attacking....
MJ…My answer to Izzy regarding “How do you know the bird is a ‘he’” is simple. Because he was out for a fight and didn’t get that he was fighting his own reflection!! Lol! I’m sorry, Izzy. I couldn’t resist🤣😂 Love to the gorgeous Sierra❤️❤️ and I’m so happy to see them in a video. More please!!!
I just came across this video. Maybe you could have tossed out some bread crumbs. I don't know just a thought. Hope y'all are enjoying your trips. Sure wish I could do the same.
Way too go Jason. I am 75 years old and have been a Wrestling since I was 15 years old. Even used to help build the ring at venues to gain free admission.
Got back from our long trip to Texas. Major issues hydraulics at the step piston is leaking, enough to set off alarms. Formula: Dogs + squirrels = NO no no no no no, stop, stop!!! We had a squirrel that was looking for handouts. He wasn't bothered by dogs. I have some pic and video I will share on FB. Always something when we go out.
Great video...what a lovely couple. Is the bird flying straight at your laptop? Birds can see/feel wifi signal, may be responding to it being near its nest or babies or something? Interested in your thoughts.
ENDLESS RVING : MON. 6/13/22 6:11 AM CST, HOT SPRINGS NATURAL PARK, AR. USA 🇺🇲 ... GOOD MORNING ... NICE FAMILY & NICE RIG ... I AM 70 YRS OLD W/ AGE RELATED EYE SIGHT SO W/ THAT BEING SAID THIS IS WHY I TYPE IN CAPS ... OK I USE TO LIVE IN A GROUND FLOOR CONDO ABOUT 125 FT. FROM OUR PIER RUNNING ALONG LAKE HAMILTON ... WE HAD LOTS OF TREES / BUSHES & OTHER PLANTS THAT REFLECTED ON TO & ACROSS ALL OUR 4 HUGE CONNECTING PICTURE WINDOWS (BASICALLY THE ENTIRE SIDE OF OUR CONDO ... WELL THE SAME THING HAPPENED EXCEPT THESE BIRDS WERE FLYING FROM A GREATER DISTANNCE MUCH FASTER ... SO ... FROM THE OUTSIDE THE WINDOWS REFLECTING THE TREES & BUSHES CREATED A MASTER ILLUSION TO DELUSION FOR THE BIRDYZZZ ... & ... IT WAS VERY SCARY WHEN THE BIRDS HIT THE WINDOWS AT FULL SPEED ... LUCKILY NONE OF THE BIRDS WENT TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE FOR BIRDYZ ... WE DID SOLVE THE PROBLEM BY PUTTING IVORY PAINTED WOOD CARVED HANGING PANELS ON OUR INSIDE WINDOWS LEDGES & COVERIING 3/4 OF THE WINDOW HIGH LOOKING LIKE SHUTTERS BUT ABLE TO SEE THROUGH THE ORNATE CARVED PANELS ... & ... THEY FIT EACH WINDOW PERFECT / WERE BEAUTIFUL CARVINGS CREATING TOTAL PRIVACY FROM OURSIDE & WE COULD SEE THE LAKE PERFECT ... HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR YOU : GET BLUE OR FORREST GREEN TARPS IN DIFFERENT SIZES (COLORS FOR 2 DIFFERENT REASONS) ... THEY ARE BASICALLY INEXPENSIVE & THEY HAVE MULTI USAGES ... YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU BOUGHT THEM ... ALSO FOR YOUR INSIDE WINDOWS THERE A 2 DIFFERENT PRODUCTS YOU CAN GET FOR DIFFERENT USAGE ON YOUR WINDOWS WHERE YOU CAN SEE OUT & HAVE PRIVACY FROM THE OUTSIDE ON-LOOKERS : 1. YOU CAN GET PERFORATED NON- SLIP DRAWER / SHELF LINERS BY THE ROLLS & CUT TO SIZE PER YOUR WINDOWS & TEMPORARYILY PUT OVER WINDOW W/ MAGNETS OR YOU PREFERENCE ... THEY COME IN DIFF COLORS BUT A LIGHT COLOR IS WHAT YOU WANT TO DETER / DETOUR THE NATURE REFLECTION THE BIRDS FLY INTO ... WHEN YOUR DONE WITH THEM PUT AWAY OR USE FOR OTHER PROJECTS ... 2. A SIMULAR PRODUCT THINER & MORE EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT ... & ... IS ALSO PERFORATED / COMES ON ROLLS TO CUT TO SIZE / DIFF. COLORS ... BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE PRODUCT (NAME ?) CLINGS / ADHERES TO THE WINDOW BUT IS ALSO REMOVABLE ... YOU WILL NEED TO GO TO LOWES/ HOMEDEPOT ETC ... & CHECK OUT THEIR BATH &/ OR WINDOW TREATMENT SECTION ... GOOD LUCK W/ YOUR FUTURE BIRDYZZZ & FANTASTIC FAMILY ADVENTURES YOUR GOING TO SHARE TOGETHER ... GOD BLESS ... 🕊 ☮ 🌎🕯🌍🕯🌏 ☮🕊
We had a robin do this for about 3 weeks straight on our window in our family room. All day long. Finally he/she stopped but poor bird and so annoying. Glad you used the towel method!!

Well now I know and so do you 😃👍
This was In Nj.
Sometimes, hanging or stringing fishing line will keep them away. A lot of pools in FL string it over top.
Thanks!
Apparently you were parked to close to her nest of eggs. I miss seeing Robins a bird of the north. Looks like a good first trip out. Maybe add a magna shade to that side window to keep birds from attacking....
Looks like you had a nice weekend. The bird thing was crazy.
Most likely a nest close to there and it's his reflection lol. It's a territory thing. So when he sees you haha... he sees another preditor
Hahaha!! Yes the dogs had a good time on this trip. ❤️
I read the title and immediately thought Bigfoot! LOL!
😂
Hahaha! This made my day. You can’t make this stuff up. Always an adventure.
It sure is! Lol
So happy everything worked out with the new batteries. The bird liked the shine on Nellie.
Sure did! Lol
How awesome!
Athena was so good with the squirrel. She's such a gentle giant. ❤️ Hope you get your issues worked out.
Great video...what a lovely couple. Is the bird flying straight at your laptop? Birds can see/feel wifi signal, may be responding to it being near its nest or babies or something? Interested in your thoughts.
Great video I enjoyed it!
Thank you!
So funny good idea to place towel up
We have a Robin that pecks at the chrome bumper and wheels on my truck. Happens during early spring. Silly birds.
Lol thanks for sharing
That's a beautiful RV.
Thank you. We love it.
What sofa covers are you using? They are just what we need for our large dog!
amzn.to/3wbeXEC
have a cloth with some magnets attached that you can stick up over window
A bird that is s fan of Alfred Hitchcock. 🤣
putting a sticker on the window with the silhouette of a bird of pray should help also...
We had a robin do this for about 3 weeks straight on our window in our family room. All day long. Finally he/she stopped but poor bird and so annoying. Glad you used the towel method!!
It was scary at first before we figured it out then REALLY annoying lol Then we solved it. All good. 😂
I used to live in Marcella. Looks like a nice campground.
We love it!
Had this happened to us in a fifth wheel keep hitting a rear window over and over and over again!
Great advice! 😘🙏🏻🖖🏻👍🏻Question: How do you know how much solar you need? Do they use alt estore to guesstimate the size of your system ?
We don’t have solar just a battery bank. We consulted with battle born to determine what size battery bank we needed for our use.
Your family would be fun to camp near!!! Happy camping!!!
