nice! we just got a used class A motorhome last weekend as well... looking forward to see what you guys are going through... lol maybe add a dash cam and record some of that road trip. Cheers!
I can’t believe how much your story is like our story. We bought a brand new 38 foot, triple slide, fifth wheel. Got the same story. Oh no problem with anything. Any problems you have will be fixed immediately. 😂😂😂😂. When we got it home, we went in the rv on a fluke as some friends wanted to see the inside. We brought them in there and it was pouring out at the time. I looked at one of the wood counters under the tv and it was all shiny like glass. I walked over to check what I was seeing and there was a giant lake on the wooden counter and running off it and across the front of the fireplace. The water was coming in through the wall. Put the slide in. Then my husband fixed it till we could bring it in for a professional fix. Brought it in and they NEVER TOUCHED IT!!!! That’s just the first thing that went wrong. We had tons of things go wrong with it. Too many to talk about. Funny thing is you pay a massive amount of money and you really have no warranty. I don’t know how the rv industry gets away with it.
I just found your channel and you are fantastic storytellers! I actually laughed out loud more than a couple of times. These stories don’t bode well for the industry- wish they would do/be better. Just started at the beginning of your videos but hope things got better!
1st of all you guys make a great couple! That was a good story. I was LMAO because my wife and I have had 11 RV’s of various makes and configuration’s and we have had similar experiences with defects and all the BS from the sales person, finance person and the no customer service person. We have lost enough money by always trading up or down for our dream RV to paid for dozens of nice vacation get always. But you only live once and life is about memories and getting around this wonder country of ours and meeting people. Our adult children and grandchildren love it when they can roast grandpa for all the RV’s we have bought over the years. Thanks for sharing!
I love your stories, they make my day...I can't believe your horrible luck with RV's though, and that you, (at least for our benefit) can laugh about it...great stuff though....
Sorry to hear what you have been through. Nerve-racking stories but man really fun to watch. I literally watched it three times lol. My entegra branded Seneca just arrived at the dealer. After hearing the stories now I'm just so reluctant to go pick it up...
You guys are awesome… I’ve owned buses, trailers, 5th wheels, pop ups you name it. I own a Dynamax DX3 super C now. They all have issues for sure. But you guys tell it so well. Thanks for sharing. Get one, work the bugs out, keep it and you’ll be fine. Cheers!
North Trail is the worst experience I ever had but glad I walked away in time without buying anything from them. I did get my rig next day from another dealer.
Norcold refrigerators ARE great. What bites you in the butt is if you don't clean it periodically. Dust gets on the cooling fins in the back and if you don't vacuum that out it will slowly reduce in cooling power until you can't keep things cold.
LMAO you forgot to check with me. I could have helped you with this, but as usual you let these magicians fool you. I'm going to start an RV Class on buying an RV and the plans that they sell to make you feel good about it. I will test them all, well the ones that are brave enough to allow me too. I will open the eyes of all those that want to enjoy an RV.
oh, by the way, the problem you had with DEF is because it was vapor locking!! I sorted this out way before you ever bought your bus, remember its a long way from one end to the other. sorry I did not see your videos till now ! god bless and good luck!! Yes, I am a independt cummings mech. retired!
It was really, really loud with a lot of whistles, rattles and things falling apart. The entry door vibrated and the power panel beeped constantly. All the class As we owned were much quieter and drove better.
@@irritatedtraveler sorry to hear about your Seneca troubles. Did you look at Renegade RVs before the Seneca? Northtrails carry them. Beware...there’s no such thing as an honest dealer.
Welcome to the secrets of the rv world. Isn’t it a shame that you can spend over $200, 000 and it basically fall apart within a couple of hours. It’s not just you or your choice of rv, these problems happen to all of them and if not just consider yourself lucky.
I had a coworker who used to be a car salesman and he said it's called "taillight warrantee" in the dealership world because as soon as you can't see the taillights anymore as the customer drives away, it's not your problem anymore.
My rule of thumb is to always have a few days of non-perishable food on hand that doesn't require refrigeration or cooking for emergencies. I'm not saying be a diehard end-of-the-world prepper, just enough to last a few days, a week at most until things are back to normal. Just work it in your regular rotation of meal planning so you don't forget you have to use it or throw it out eventually. That way you won't be out of food when your refrigerator and freezer fail because it's not an "if" but a "when" they fail.
You talk about your business what do u both do for business. Just came across you two and very interesting watching ya’s Wife an I will be full time spring of 2024
The build quality is so questionable in these RV's. The lack of knowledge of the assemblers in both the components and the RV manufacturers is sad. The consumer is left to figure it out. I'm all for the lemon laws applying to RV's, probably the only way to force the issue of quality into this industry. Not sure why people haven't screamed to govt to extend it to RV's by now given the massive number of horror stories out there. So few dealers who are honest as well. I had a used super C, all the bugs were worked out for the most part but the maintenance is still intense. Now downgraded to a toy hauler towable with fewer bells and whistles, less headaches. On my first RV trip back when an 85 yr old lifetime RV couple give me good advice on what to look for, what to buy and to be sure I had a good tool box! Still live by their words of wisdom.
Anytime a manufacturer installs a piece of gear its the cheapest they can find they buy them in bulk and install them and poof are gone! I had this same issue in my motor yacht, I suggest you do what I did research the “after market” ones have a company rip out those dealer equipped models and install a higher priced model that the company installs and guarantees the labor and warranty and leave the dealer installed ones where they belong in the trash. Generators are the same get a production model from the maker and not one that was made in china and painted the colors and a label slapped on it! Your leveling jacks are the same, this factories hire people to do installs that may have never installed a light bulb much less a complicated hydraulic system to level out the coach! The cycle installers through the factories like Burger King does teens for summer jobs. Your paying top dollar and at best your getting entry level installers. Your engine issues are the same way Freight-liner doesn’t want to touch your coach, why because those power plants and transmissions are built in china under contract and shipped here. The union guys won’t touch them, even VOLVO heavy truck engines are now made in China, but you can buy a union made Volvo engine if ordered from Stockholm. The DEF fluid is only good for one year on the shelf, read the dates on the container if they are close to expiration date pass on them and buy someplace else. Buy your stock and use it sparingly buying fresh and replenishing it quickly when you see fresh stock. My company supplied us we carried cases with us to ensure we had no problems with the DEF.
What brand of 9V batteries are you using? I can't get more than a year out of Energizers, however it's recommended to replace the smoke detector batteries every six months when you switch back and forth from daylight standard and savings time.
This is what we go through when we try to explain to our non Florida family about Hurricanes. Highways are shut down going south, no gas available Anywhere. If you do get on a road headed north prepare for 5mph tops due to bumper bumper traffic.
Ive had several RVs and travel a ton and the things Ive learned is #1 they are all pieces of shit, #2 Once you get off the lot of the dealership its like roulette with repairs. #3 fix anything you can by yourself up to the point that it takes more than you can handle. Great attitude, we have the same attitude when traveling and would gladly pay more for a quality product but thats not going to happen, The quality product that is.
It wouldn't matter the channel's theme; this couple is fun to watch.
Great story. Glad you were not in to bad a shape from the hurricane.
Sorry to hear you guys had so much trouble but I respect your positive attitude through it all.
nice! we just got a used class A motorhome last weekend as well... looking forward to see what you guys are going through... lol maybe add a dash cam and record some of that road trip. Cheers!
sticking with you !! So sorry for your troubles. But sure enjoying your story.

and the children and grandchildren thank you for not being prudent with your RV purchases! Their inheritance will be smaller.
I love your stories, they make my day...I can't believe your horrible luck with RV's though, and that you, (at least for our benefit) can laugh about it...great stuff though....

Super nice interior in that rig!
I had the same problem with extended work on my 2016 750 BMW
You guys are awesome… I’ve owned buses, trailers, 5th wheels, pop ups you name it. I own a Dynamax DX3 super C now. They all have issues for sure. But you guys tell it so well. Thanks for sharing. Get one, work the bugs out, keep it and you’ll be fine. Cheers!
U guys make a great couple
The problems are typical with a brand new RV It takes two years to get the bugs worked out Good luck to you
I am thinking about buying a 2020 seneca. What do you think? How many months did you use yours?
How many of those pos have you tried out? I’m counting 4 so far🤪
These two should walk around with hockey helmets on .lol
North Trail is the worst experience I ever had but glad I walked away in time without buying anything from them. I did get my rig next day from another dealer.
so how are things going now? what do you have now ? are things OK? thanks Kevin Chapman
We are working on some medical issues so our travels are limited at the moment.
Well, golly G! Livin’ large has its problems

How does your Seneca ride going down the road? Is it smooth or is it rattly and squeaky?
It was really, really loud with a lot of whistles, rattles and things falling apart. The entry door vibrated and the power panel beeped constantly. All the class As we owned were much quieter and drove better.

Jeez. Sounds like a horror show. 😂😂
What is your business?
We make most of our money on RUclips. Just kidding - mostly investing and consulting.
Y'all have have convinced me NOT to buy an RV!
Just say no to Jayco!
Stop by east Tennessee
You talk about your business what do u both do for business.
Just came across you two and very interesting watching ya’s

You would think the makers could eventually figure out some of these problems after so many people have them but nope they don’t.

Maybe China will have to start manufacturing these and shipping them over to us, seems like we can’t make anything ourselves that works.
you should have bought a Prevost.
Call the freightliner # and they will tell you there is a constant drain on the batteries but surely not just 2 days at a non travel day!!

a smoke detector can run on a 9v battery for 10 years, yet they're draining 4 deep cycle batteries in 3 days? Riiiight.
What brand of 9V batteries are you using? I can't get more than a year out of Energizers, however it's recommended to replace the smoke detector batteries every six months when you switch back and forth from daylight standard and savings time.
Could have told the whole story in 3 minutes.
Holy beautiful women, Batman!
This is why people buy Liberty coaches, no rattles or creaks life time.
Also y’all know it’s an RV not a mobile home, you could have just driven away.
Gas stations sell out of fuel before hurricanes and we couldn't have made it out of the cone.
This is what we go through when we try to explain to our non Florida family about Hurricanes. Highways are shut down going south, no gas available Anywhere. If you do get on a road headed north prepare for 5mph tops due to bumper bumper traffic.
O please Yea right $2 mil later

You have some bad luck that's for sure!
Really man !,,,,
You guys had some bad luck whatever you do don’t buy a boat you may not come back from that one
It seams like you have the worst luck with motor homes .
