  • Germany is an incredible country of rich culture, amazing industrial strength, an unmistakable history of design innovation, and an amazing attention to detail to anything they make. It is precisely for these reasons, among many others that makes them a tour de force when it comes to making some of the best watches from affordable to ultra luxury. Often overlooked by the mainstream watch buying public, Germany is a super power horologically. In today's WWT (Wrist Watch Talk) episode I discuss 5 of my personal favourites from the many fantastic brands I love and explain why I will always have a German made watch in my collection.

Not only do I learn a lot about watches from this channel, but also a lot more about art, culture, music, history and design. This inspires me to appreciate things that I encounter on a deeper level and gives me the curiosity to look further. Thank you for your videos!

For anyone looking for a great German tool watch, Damasko should not be overlooked. Their technology is on par with Sinn plus they make many of their components in-house. Love your videos!

Interesting video - I really like these historical/educational videos. Keep 'em coming. Interesting choices for your top 5 too. Was a bit surprised A Lange & Sohne or Glashutte Original didn't make it. I have a German made watch but the design and style is decidedly not Germanic (in my opinion) that would be my Alexander Shorokhoff. Ciao, John.

Great selection of German brands. I find German brands has stronger character and style than the Swiss brands. You can almost tell each brand by the design and style of the watches they produced. Great video and keep it up! Thanks!

I have really enjoyed your videos more and more Sir. Very well done. It is easy to find 'the standard' video for product reviews and history. Cars have them, firearms have them, and you sir are becoming the standard for watch videos. I have recently discovered the German watching making swarm of amazing time pieces. I started watching your videos only to learn you have had many of my own watches. First Omega in Space, check, black bay 36, check. I have a couple of hamiltons and even a Chris Ward. However your review of the Sinn 104 had captivated me. I also really appreciate your passion for history and WW2 war fighting hardware. The F4U Corsair is probably my all time most favorite aircraft ever made. Such beauty and focus of purpose. You keep up the good work sir. I purchased my first German watch (a Junkers 150 Hugo Junkers special) because of the Bauhaus video you did. I am pleased and pained by how much money your channel has cost me :) Anyway, keep up the wonderful videos and stay true to your style and let your personality show.

I'd like to see a duel between Sinn and Damasko. Both do great aviation watches that are hard as nails and really innovative.
