Just One More Watch my dad’s F-14 Squadron made a custom Aerospace Evo in titanium with a Tomcat on it and, I’ve got to say, it’s an incredible watch. It’s incredibly light and, overall, a gorgeous watch. I definitely recommend it.

Loved the video, as always. Have you ever thought of doing a budget video? As in the watches you'd buy if given $10,000 (or any other amount of money) to spend specifically on watches. I know that it's something I'd love to see. Keep up the great work,

I'm really enjoying your channel! Your enthusiasm and class really shine through, and I have learned so much. I loved your piece about etiquette, and snobbery . . . being a true gentleman. In this crazy, upside world we now live in, I still go by the rule that talented, secure people don't have to beat their own chests, and more importantly, don't put other people down. I'm having trouble articulating what I mean, but it really is about our whole lives, isn't it? Anyway, I picked up a Fortis Cosmonaut (used) today thanks to you. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Thank you again, John.

Great show, TGV. I also have a mid 1960's Omega Seamaster Deville. It is a small watch, but it is classic and as you say, the in-house movement is solid. My Seamaster runs at +4 to -4 seconds / 24 hours. Despite it's small size, it does get wrist time.

Really glad to see the Glycine Airman on here. I recently bought the Airman No.1 purist (the one you were drawing a blank on) in celebration of finishing grad school. If Invicta ruins the brand or not, so be it. My Airman is a classic and that will never change my love and appreciate for it! Also, as a frequent traveler, it's really useful!

A note regarding the Fortis B 52: the case measures 42mm, but the bezel is 44mm which might make it a bit large if someone wants a 42mm width peice.
also, the 3 hand version shown is available in stainless steel or titanium.
Fortis also does classic aviator designs in more friendly sizes, 41mm for current 3h flieger.

Urban I'm a huge fan and was hoping on some insight on Nato Strap lengths. I recently bought one from crown and buckle and was very disapointed to see that the strap doesnt have extra length to wrap back around and looks quite bad with the strap almost covering the watch . It says it's an 11" band, just wondering what length your Natos are or what you would recomend. I was under the impression all Nato straps would be long enough to loop back around. Cheers!

Pretty much any watch by Nite:
    - Swiss movements
    - Saphire Glass
    - Tritium Illumination
    - 100+ meters water resistance
    - UK brand, with the heritage of being used by the British SAS
I bought a Nite MX10 for around $550 USD. It's a simple utilitarian watch, but it has a more refined, sporty asthetic when compared to other utility/combat watches. I've owned it for a little over 5 years now and it still works (and looks) like new.

TGV! I am from India. I have been following your channel for a while now. And I have picked up a Seiko Flightmaster recently totally based on its mention in so many of your reviews and wrist watch check! I want to buy a watch in the price range of 500-1000$. A everyday watch? Not sure what I should pick up but these are what I have in mind - Glycine Combat Sub, Hamilton Khaki/ Khaki King or X-Patrol and Squale 1521. What would you recommend? Any site you would recommend which ships watches internationally? I also have a Swatch sistem 51 YIS401G and another Seiko - Seiko Giugiaro in my wishlist which are lower than 500$.

A lot of interesting choices, Tristano. I’ve been researching Fliegers for a while. The Max Bill is indeed iconic, a beautiful Bauhaus design. I’ve been looking at the Junkers Bauhaus and have learned it also has a very close connection to the Bauhaus movement. Junkers (most known for his aircraft) was very personally involved in the movement and facilitated one of their moves and was close friends with one of the schools leaders. Plus, they run about $500 less across the group! I’m looking at a brass one for about $1000 (ETA 2824-2) as opposed to the Jughans for $1500. I read your excellent reviews on both, of course! Thanks for an great suggestions!

I would like to suggest on the topic: the Steinhart Divers both the homages and their Titanium line,i think they are superb quality and bank per buck, attention to detail and outstanding customer service. Also, on the vintage market the Zenith Sporto series from the late 50s to early 70, they are exceptional pieces within that range.

I do like the Breitling Aerospace, I also have a thing for the 3100 Pluton which is amazing value at the moment. A couple of years ago I bought a Tissot PR50 Titanium, it shares the same ETA movement as the old aerospace, for just £150. The Mrs wears it most of the time, it's the only watch she has ever worn or liked.

I think Victorinox gets overlooked in this category.
They have some of the sturdiest and rugged watches I've ever seen, and that goes for their quartz collection and their automatic collection. I've banged my maverick up against more bricks and walls then I can count and still flawless

Excellent video! This is exactly the price range I am looking to purchase a watch in. I am rather torn right now between two watches and was hoping you could offer some advice? The Seiko SARB035 is an amazing watch and has the look of the Grand Seiko that I love but can not afford. The other watch is the Hamilton H70525133. It is a little more casual of a watch, but I love that it is made from Titanium. Which one would you choose and why? Also are there any other Titanium Automatic watches in this price range that have a similar style you would recommend?

    • @FatSamEIE
      @FatSamEIE 6 лет назад +2

Sean Momsen I have the Seiko Sarb 035 and it’s an incredible watch. It changes from a sporty/summer fun daily wearer on a perlon strap to a smart dressy watch on a leather/gator. It is the perfect one watch collection watch. It’s got water resistance, sapphire crystal, reliable auto movement and smouldering looks. It’s the cheapest watch I own by far but I love it.

Another eloquent and measured roundup Tristano - great stuff!
Love that the Airman made the list, wish I could find one for even close to those prices in the UK - that Airman No. 1 can be got for $600 and there's even an option to 'make an offer' on the eBay store. Just can't stomach paying £150 to import it....That's SKX money!
Always felt the Ball Fireman and Engineer II watches were great in the price range... tritium lume, 100m WR and simple designs make it a great versatile watch like the Sinn. Interesting heritage too.
Ever thought of visiting Federico and getting your hands on some of the pateks he's always showing off?
Cheers mate, sorry for the essay

Agree with the Marathon, got issued one in the Army and still have it. great watch! the marathon GPM has a Japanese movement I think. Have you looked at the Victorinox Swiss Army Infantry Vintage Chrono. It has a 7750 ETA movement, coated sapphire, nice band. a friend gave me two, one brown other grey for some work I finished for him. I've seen them for $500 to $600. for vintage and horological interest look at some of the vintage Wyler watches, they made some nice peices and weren't overly priced.

Awesome video and some great picks in there. You are such an enabler, man. I now need to *not* look at eBay as my primary objective for the rest of today. I will say though, Breitling Avenger? Bleeeeuuuuurgh! There are some Breitlings I love but that is not one of them. Maybe, as you say, an acquired taste.

Brilliant video as usual! With regards to the vintage Omegas, what are your thoughts on the F300Hz series? Video in the future, perhaps? I love the "hummers" and there's a lot of the variation you so love in them as well :)

In my personal opinion, with $500 - $1000 in budget, it would be a Tissot Ballade Powermatic 80 COSC for me. I just keep getting the feeling that Tissot is very underrated these days. It's a great brand. Anyways, great review as always. Really enjoy this video. 👍🏻

I am at a bit of a loss, I need a good hardy watch to handle the abuse of my job but it needs to have a large face with contrasting numbers (not roman numerals) so I can read it. I have been around the shops but nothing seems to fit the bill. Either it doesn't have sapphire glass or it is not waterproof, or I cannot read the day/date or hasn't got a second hand. I would prefer not going to a smartwatch as the battery is limited. Have you got any ideas to fix this dilemma? I like the style of some of the hamiltons and other pilot watches but haven't seen them in real life.
