No need to apologize for your vids being too long,I appreciate the insight your off the cuff comments bring to your reviews. I like the longer vids and the personal observations and off tangent stories about various interesting topics. I must say Jolly good show !
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
I wanted to thank you for being a great resource for a newbie watch collector. In February I bought the Seiko SNK805 after watching your video. It's my first automatic and I'm delighted with the quality I got for such a low price. I have since gone on to get a Casio Protrek PRW-3000-1CR after watching another of your videos. I'm now well on my way to being a horology junkie and your videos go a long way in helping me get the best quality timepieces in my moderate price range.
You’ve really helped kick start my watch collecting bug. Which is unfortunate due to my budget, but alas, your videos help scratch that itch for now so all is well. I’ve also just realized why I keep coming back to your channel. Your editing and way of presenting is so much more pleasant to watch than others I’ve found and never feels like a forced advertisement or anything of the sorts. Keep it up!
I recently bought my first automatic watch (a Seiko SKX007) from Marc at Long Island to start my collection with a bang. Got intrigued because of your videos. It's due to arrive in a couple weeks. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Thanks for all the advice you give for watches at all price points.
are you importing it to India? what are the customs formalities/ charges? does the product arrive at your doorstep or do you have to go to the customs office?
Bought a few items from him myself. Good place provided you are okay with not being able to call him or someone there on the phone, which I am not a big fan of. Verbal contact these days is in short supply, but I will no longer be supplied by folks who don’t provide this service. I’m pretty sure their suppliers take phone calls from them when they need to communicate verbally. While I’m not a watch retailer/seller I am a watch and accessories buyer, albeit for my own house, I’m a buyer none the less.
Great information as always...I have begun a watch collection because of your channel. I really didn't know anything about watches until I started listening to your videos. Love the suggestions, all of the lists, and the general fun that you have in disseminating all of this great stuff! Thanks for all you do, and I will now be spending the next several weeks browsing the websites of these 7 suggestions...
Thank you this is GOLD to have great references to eBay sellers and Luxury and AD's and pre-owned and vintage all in one place from a trusted source. Absolutely AWESOME thanks again
Hi Tristano, I usually avoid commenting on you tube videos, mostly because my English is very bad, but I have to tell you: your channel is awesome. You seems to be an honest, generous and wonderful human being and you deserve the tremendous amount of success you’re having. Keep it real and whenever you want to visit Modena, just let me know. All my very Best.
that swatch you have on is shown on a billboard in St Marks sq with Jaws from a Bond movie. I saw it when i was there back in 2012 on a 2 week European trip. right around the time Quantum of Solace came out. you have some great content love the show
Most thankful for proper and brilliantly presented line of the entire lot of those seven organization. Your in-depth knowledge is fostering and encouraging my admiration and interest in Horology.
I do take a gamble on a couple grey market sellers when the price is a steal, or nobody else has what I am looking for. I wouldn't buy high end thru the grey market though. My 2 favorite online sellers are PassTheWatch and Long Island Watch. I am not sure if PTW is grey market, but even if they are, they are great people to deal with! PTW is located in California.
Topper Jewelers is THE best. Rob is the man! I was very disappointed with my last experience with Timeless Luxury. My mistake not sticking with Rob at Toppers.
After watching this video I decided to go with Long Island Watch for a Seiko diver. Great price and easy to shop. Will update after the watch arrives... I trust all will go well. (Great channel, BTW)
Pure Class. When you say that all you want is to know we are in good hands, i believe it. Thats saying something, iam and always have been a viscous cynic. But you can tell, its a gut feeling. Keep up the good work for the Good Gentry.
I was surprised to hear you mention Saltzmans. I'm looking for my first real watch and they are a few mins from my house. I'm going to stop in tomorrow....hopefully there's an Urban Gentry discount :) !
I'm weak. I wasn't going to buy another watch until my birthday (August) but today I saw C.Ward is currently offering a 15% discount across the Trident range and long story short my birthday this year is in April ! Anyway, great info there TGV. I'll be in the US later this year (live in the UK) so may look up these retailers. The honesty and integrity is much appreciated. Perhaps an early Christmas present...
Thank you for the kind words, deffo go for the CWard, you will not regret it, life is too short! August after all is donkeys away ;-) Best regards, TGV
As usual, a great video. I very much admire your enthusiasm for watch collecting and greatly appreciate that you won’t trash-talk brands, regardless of their cost or perceived value (e.g. Invicta, etc.). Do you have any plans for a video on the best places to sell one’s watches?
TGV, Thanks so much for helping me find Moyer. I recently worked with them and could not be happier about the experience I had. I'll be recommending them to everyone I know. Thanks and I really enjoy the channel!
TGV, you are an international treasure! Thanks for this very useful overview of the crème de la crème of trustworthy businesses who happen to sell wearable timepieces almost as a logistical byproduct of their enthusiasm for spreading the joy of appreciating fine watchmaking as an end in itself. TGV, thanks very much additionally for sharing your mental potpourri of observations during the course of revealing your keen watchmanship. (If I have just coined that word, I hereby acknowledge guilt or responsibility 🤓).
I ordered my Orient Bambino from Long Island watch. When I called to ask a question I was shocked that It was Mark himself that actually answered the phone! He was very friendly and helpful ! I have also bought a few watches from Jomashop with no issues either( in case thats who you were referring to ?( unscrupulous Brooklyn watch dealers ).
Just want to congratulate you on the excellent content of your videos. We have very similar taste. I have not only enjoyed, but also learned a lot. Just ordered a CW trident c65 GMT, and a Colt is closely next in line. Keep up the good work!
Love the channel the watches the advice. Who said your videos are too lengthy? Nonsense. While you're doing your reviews I'm looking beyond. Where do you get your screen savers? They're fabulous, especially the old masters. I find this video particularly interesting because I'm looking for a reputable dealer and repair facility so as I value your recommendation thanks again. Peter
Thanks for another great video. Been looking for a fair and safe place to find my vintage treasure. Also... I concur wholeheartedly... Mark at Long Island Watches is a stand up guy. Very professional and helpful. I highly recommend L.I.W.
As I watched this video, I kept hoping you would me mention a Texas store! Im a new sub and have been watching all your videos. Thanks for all you do. I love your enthusiasm, energy, and fair unbiased positive opinions.
Do you have anything for your European friends? Unfortunately even if they ship to Europe, customs costs would be insane (in Germany, 19% added value tax + 17% import tax).
@@theoneandonlybosable What a stupid answer. Health care is not free, we pay for it every single month. Guess you're just another ignorant Trump lover that never set foot in Europe.
@@theoneandonlybosable its actually not really free im from germany....in brasil it is free. In germany you still have to pay the govermont for health Insurance or a private one.
Very useful thank you! I bought from Mark at Long Island Watches after learning about them from your channel and was very pleased. Glad to hear about these other places thanks again! I enjoyed the new intro too!
TGV . Thank you again. Such important information. Nothing could be worse then buying a false or poor quality product - even paying to much would seem quite minuscule by comparison. Your recomendations carry much credibility and are very much appreciated. ☺
Perfect timing on the video for me as I happen to be in Hong Kong for the weekend. I will drop by their shop to checkout their watches while I'm here. Great video and keep up the good work.
I agree with you about Marc from Long Island Watch. Great selections, and great customer service. One recent example was when I was resizing my new Seiko Turtle PADI edition, which I did not buy from Marc; and no knowing about the pin and collar type of bracelet I had (rookie mistake), I lost some of the collars. Could not find them on eBay. Wrote an email, at night, to Marc to ask him if he sold them. Not only did he reply, THAT NIGHT!, but shipped me some collars. No charge. Now that's a stand up guy! I know where my next Seiko purchases will be from.
Glad to see Moyer's on this list. I live in the area and frequent the thier physical location often. Great people with great selections, really the only place in the midwest to get and Grand Seiko in the flesh. Very helpful video!
Great video and one I think is extremely useful! I'd like to add Gnomon Watches as another great seller. They are in Singapore and sell a lot of German brands as well as JDM Seiko's. I bought my SARX033 from them and they delivered it in just two days from Singapore to the east coast of the USA. They even included a free NATO strap that matched the watch perfectly without me even asking!
Mr. Urban Gentry, Great videos. Where are the links below that you are always referring to in your videos? I do not see them. Am I missing something? Thanks,
What about in UK and Ireland? Where is best to buy online? Good channel by the way! I love watches and really want to get a bit of an under rated, slightly unknown but still quality watch like Orient perhaps but don't know where I can buy in this part of the globe! Your channel seems really true, honest and genuine. Cheers.
Comforting video. I just bought a Seiko Prospex from LIW and it isn't keeping time. I was concerned about how difficult it will be to get it exchanged (we all have a horror story), but after your endorsement of Mark I am relieved. Your stamp of approval carries a massive amount of clout. Keep up the good work.
2 years ago we went to Chickasha Oklahoma to see the Christmas light displays. On the way back home to Houston we stopped at Timeless Luxury in the Dallas area. lt's an awesome watch store.
I have purchased most of my collection on Long Island Watch!! Marc is awesome. Thank you TGV. My wallet hates you, but I dont care about his opinion 😂😂

I'm based in the U.K. and nice to see Page and Cooper get a mention, got a Marathon from them and will be ordering my Damasko their too. Ha, when I ever get around to saving for one!
Once again, a fabulous video! Very enjoyable and informative and great to know of all your online watch sources. Thanks for sharing Tristanto. One thing I've learned from you is if you have a smaller wrist, its wise to know the ideal watch size for your wrist. Like you I have a smaller wrist so a 40mm is just perfect for me. Thanks for your help and info. you've helped me purchase my last 4 watches, a Citizen eco drive made for the Italian Aviazione Navale, absolutely beautiful. 2 automatic Seiko's ref. SNF17K1 and SNZG15K1 inexpensive, handsome and reliable, and lastly a Glycine Ref. GL0109 combat 6. Thanks again for all of help, love your passion.
I was very pleased with Govberg in the Philadelphia region. I was foolish and didn't check out the Speedmaster Reduced in person before I bought it used from them online. When it arrived and I realized it was too small for me they were fantastic about returning it, treated me well when I went to the store, and I bought a used Speedmaster Professional off them instead, couldn't be happier.
My brother meet Marc from LI Watch, said the same as you, stand up guy, the real deal as he put it, so on my brothers recommendation, I bought an Islander from LI watch, can't recommend this site and watch enough...great sale and I will buy from him again.

Thanks for sharing your experience with our sister company, Govberg Jewelers!
By far my favorite intro you've done haha! Excellent work my friend.
This is great. I'll keep them in mind
I'm 20 seconds into this video and it's sick!!!
I am from Saudi Arabia and I'm a big fan of your work
My brother meet Marc from LI Watch, said the same as you, stand up guy, the real deal as he put it, so on my brothers recommendation, I bought an Islander from LI watch, can't recommend this site and watch enough...great sale and I will buy from him again.
Long Island Watch is a solid dealer. Thank you.
