I want to say that you have always had wonderful style! One person saying you shouldn't have worn white socks with your loafers doesn't mean it didn't look great or you executed it poorly that's THEIR opinion! I also thought the nude heels looked great with your outfit for the Dior dinner, Allison always says to make an outfit interesting by wearing the "wrong" shoe anyways, and I thought it looked great!
I think you already have impeccable style and have always loved your outfits, but the tips she gave are great reminders to have specially when buying clothes and not be so wrapped up in the trends.
I found Allison’s channel a while ago and binge watched every video. I love her style because I share her love of 70’s fashion. I think when we watch a lot of social media for fashion inspiration we can start dressing for our fantasy self. I often have an idea for an outfit, try it on and it doesn’t work. Having unworn clothing in your wardrobe makes you feel so wasteful. Loved all the outfits you created together.
I’m sure I’m not the only one, but especially in the last 6 months I’m obsessed with your wardrobe and I think you look absolutely amazing in photos, saying that real life you might feel different, I will definitely check her and try to do something similar to this
I love when two of my worlds collide! Love love love Allison and her philosophy. Have been following her for about a year since seeing her on TikTok. It’s helped me a lot with getting ready each day. So glad you have found her too ❤
I’ve now seen a few content creators VERY happy with their styling appointment with Allison Bornstein. She has a really good eye and isn’t a carbon copy on the street. Glad you also learned so much and will get more use out of your existing pieces!! Learning what looks good on your new shape takes time- enjoy the process and thx for sharing some of her tips!
Thank you for sharing this with us!! I felt like it was me who was going through this, that’s how much I relate. The tip about styling the loafers and smaller heels with pants where you can still see skin was awesome. I needed that info as well as all the other great advice from Allison. I’m going to go check her out next.
'The opposite of a hoarder' is so relatable. When I have things I'm not wearing / using it weighs on me, too. Have had a whole weekend of deliberately styling *everything* in order to do a harsher cull and it's worked wonders :)
I’ve never related more, cannot put an outfit together to save my life😂😂😂 also I love that you get anxiety over not wearing your clothes, I feel that so deeply… and yet we keep buying the things we love but don’t know how to wear😂😂😂
Ohhh I am so very guilty of this! I am in the stage of motherhood where your last child is fleeing the nest and now it’s just the old man and myself. And in this stage I find myself not even dressing for the day at times. Or going days before leaving the house. I feel as though I have lost my sense of style but it hasn’t stopped me from purchasing. So I’ve got a good chunk of my closet still in the dry cleaners bags that haven’t ever been worn. But if the day ever comes that I’m needed again I’ve got lots to chose from 😂
I love Allison so much! I saw this title and I was so hopeful it was her you met with . I’ve been following her for years and I find her so helpful. I love seeing the light in your eyes after meeting with her! I can’t wait to see how your style evolves after this! I would add one more word to your style though “ tailoring” . I cannot even imagine you without blazers and trousers!
Such a fun video! Thanks for introducing Allison and her perspective on style. I have found two things really helpful as I develop my personal style. One might sound a bit antiquated, but figuring out my colours has helped me realize why I look garbage in some things I own but didn’t know why. I have also been doing Dearly Bethany’s style course, which provided a lot of clarity on my style so I have a better vision of what to buy. Instead of buying stuff because I thought it was cute, now I buy them because they match my style and who I am. Good luck with your style journey and thanks for always sharing such great content!
Omg Allana I would love it if you tried out a Kibbe Styling (this is a styling philosophy based on different body types) consultation and color analysis!! I think it would be a great video! ❤
I could not care less about styling videos, I always skip them but OH MY GOODNESS I loved this video! Your style is perfectly classic and things I can wear and the way you explained your reasons behind the styling makes complete sense. Chef’s kiss! Everything looks great! Also perfect ideas for office outfits!
I really love this! It’s your journey from changing your body and wellness to just making yourself feel good in the clothes you have! I have been struggling with my wardrobe post pandemic. I lost 20lb during my own fitness journey and the pandemic I just wore comfy clothes. I bought a bunch of fun essentials to dress up and down to make my outfits look👌🏼
this is my first time watching one of your videos since I've been on an allison bornstein kick. This was a fun watch! Excited to see your second styling session vid w/ her. I also LOVE decluttering... probably more compulsively than the average person. The hard part for me is becoming more comfortable with keeping clothes I don't wear regularly and trying to be creative in styling them/learning how to use them. Videos like these help with inspiration! No idea what your background is but I grew up with hoarder parents and relate to some comments you made in this video 😅 the desire to declutter is strong
Omg I’m obsessed with everything she picked out Allana!! Especially all the outfits that go with the Chanel shoes. They all looked stunning 🤩 I would say your style is classy chic. Also I can totally tell you’ve lost 15lbs especially in your arms. Congratulations. Your arms are looking shredded girl💪🏼❤
One of my favourite videos you've ever done! So fascinating and I love everything you had on. Must know what happened with the grey suit, though! And super keen to see any follow ups of things you end up buying xx
Absolutely loved this video, Allana! Your style videos are always my favourite and I love Allison Bornstein's style advice, so it was cool to see a crossover with you both. Would love to see a spring/summer styling video, like 10 outfits using 10 core pieces plus accessories, using the new tips you received from Allison for styling!
OMG thank you for sharing! I love styling content and you gave us so many good ideas. I've been in a funk lately with clothing, but now I feel so inspired. Thank you Lan, loved the video!
Allana, this was such an amazing video. You have motivated me to do the same with my wardrobe. So many things I no longer wear but keep them for no reason other than clutter. I so enjoy seeing your growth. You look awesome ❤❤❤
This has really inspired me. The loafer looks were my favorite, but I have the tan and black sling back dupes and did not understand how to style them either, and now I do, so thank you!
This was really helpful. I also have those weird rules in my head and I think it's really limiting. Thanks for taking one for the team, I love Alison's stye videos too.
Omg I DIED when I clicked on this video. I’ve been wanting to book a session with her since I found her videos last year!! This definitely gave me a push, so great to hear that you had such an amazing experience!!
Omg i learned so much from this video. I love that you share the same struggle as i do. I always have a hard time finishing an outfit or not feeling balanced.
The thing I think I observed from the video is all the "rules" you have about styling and fashion you should deliberately break them. Because the ones you broke in this video turned out to be a huge success ❤
I so glad you met up with Allison Bornstein! (I suggested her to you a few months ago!) She’s fantastic! I feel like “tailored” should be one of your words. You wear a lot of cool blazers and some great wide leg trousers. You can be casual/minimal/and tailored, right?
Love Allison....been watching her since she was styling Violet.....love this video so much!! The maxi skirt and oversized shirt with jeans and loafers look the most you.
Omg i've always looooooved your style! In everything. Not just the clothes, but also the combo's along with the jewelry and the makeup. The appointment just expanded your possibilities, which is so cool. Loved this❤
What a great idea!! It’s hard when your body shape has changed to know how to style your new shape. After having spinal surgery in January and the months of bed rest before it I’ve put on quite a bit of weight and it’s going to take time to shift it. So right now I have no idea how to dress this shape lol. ❤
I’m going to say some things that will set people off but need to be said. First, I’m thrilled you treated yourself to this experience. Especially if it allows you to find your own personal style. You are not a Kendall Jenner or any other celebrity and that is fantastic! Social media twists everyone’s perception of who they are, what they should look like, how they should dress, f*&k the list can go on and on. Beside having a great personality, you are talented, have beautiful hair, gorgeous eyes, and you easily transition to different styles. I don’t know you personally, so I can only imagine the multitude of fabulous traits you possess outside the lens of the camera-embrace them all. Thanks for sharing this experience.
Longtime subscriber. Also, big believer in Allison’s work and message. My three words for you would be *Tailored, Elevated, Undone* You gravitate towards suits and blazers…your choices are always an elevated, chic option (cashmere/silks/fine finishes) and even when dressed for evening there’s an element of casual elegance. Undone in some way…oversized or pairing a sneaker or loafer…or maybe your hair is long and free.
I've been following for years...I always thought that you have great taste. I do appreciate the fact that, just like most of us, there are struggles too ♡
Everything you said in the beginning I can relate to. Buy something cute … wear … hmmm not as cute. I have some flattering items but they are not my favorites. Makeup is my favorite fun accessory! All of that said, you alwaaaays look good! And the body is rocking!
Silent viewer here: I’ve always admired your sense of style. I also feel like i have a similar body shape to what you describe and so I appreciate how chic you are while still rocking your athletic type bod
Omg. This was so helpful. I have loafers and low-heeled sling backs. Like you, I always thought I had to wear them with cropped jeans. Where did we get that idea? I am dressing today with just a small portion of the top of my foot showing. Ty for sharing this! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is amazing and very helpful, do keep making this kind of videos! I usually end up buying the same type of clothes all the time, cause when I decide to go a little more bold, I end up not knowing how to style the piece and then irritated that I bought something I won't wear. Aaaaand I got back to buying all the same things again 😅
I love watching videos like this. I'm not big into fashion and being a double amputee I'm obviously not into shoes either but I love being able to live vicariously through everybody else. I think the nude heels looked good with you outfit for the Dior dinner.
@@allanaramaa I know you feel ackward, at least you say so in the videos, but it's a relatable cool. From an outsider's perspective you have cool girl vibes!
Eeeek. I’ve always wanted a stylist. This was awesome. I don’t have the same body type but I did learn a few tips. My take away was what we have in our heads or rules that we think are there that we have to follow. Just wow. I struggle daily. Thank you kindly. Great video. Can’t wait for your follow up. ❤❤❤
Such a great video! It seems like to shake yourself out of these unwritten rules you have for what goes with what, you should just try a bunch of different options whether or not you think they will work. So when you pull out a pair of jeans, just try on all the shoes, take photos and see what surprises you.
Oooo! That was so interesting! You should take photos of yourself in the outfits she put together and then copy/paste the sticker outlines into a page on your notes app! so you have a little library to reference!
Very lovable video! I love that you are sharing the daily struggles we all know -and your enthusiasm about the changes. And now I feel like booking a stylist :)
Hi Allana!! I loved this video!! Such a wonderful idea, to make a styling appt. You have such an amazing and beautiful wardrobe!! It's so great that now have a road map to style yourself. I would love to see more videos like this, Lan! Thank you so much!! I love EDM!! ❤️
This is a great video. I think we all struggle with proportions, shape, and style. Often when we find a style we like or someone whose style we like their shape is not always the same nor their proportions. Also a huge thing I’ve noticed is on different shapes how to find cuts that create the appropriate silhouette suitable for the style in which you want to dress. Just because you have a larger chest doesn’t mean you want it to be your accentuated body part.
Gah. Furious with myself for letting some items go that I now realise I could have made work. This was so helpful even though my body shape is very different. I feel an Allison obsession coming on 😂. Thanks Allana!
What a fantastic video. 👏 I actually think you have a great sense of style & would look good in a sack! I do however completely understand the struggle of everyday dressing. You got some great advice. 👍
This is so relatable! I feel like I have all the basics but CANNOT put an outfit together. The struggle is real. I’ve been contemplating to see a stylist for so long and seeing this video, I just might ☺️
Three c words to describe your style: classy, cool, comfortable! This was so relatable, I need to follow Allison because I DON’T KNOW HOW TO fashion AT ALL 🙈🙈🙈
You are beautiful and look great in anything! I often think that, if I had your body, I would never wear anything baggy. But you should wear what makes you happy!
This video was so interesting! I was so excited to see that the stylist was Alison because I follow her everywhere too 💖 Btw the words that make me think of you are 1. Minimal, 2 Put-together 3 comfortable
I would absolutely love more styling content! I personally would find it super helpful if you could show outfits and specify what you'd wear them to/for and why. for example I have 6234568 shoes but only wear one pair of sneakers for running errands and grocery shopping and one pair of ankle boots I wear for coffee dates etc. I would love your input and outfit inspo! 🖤
Awesome video, thanks for sharing this! I resonate with the struggle to dress my body shape, gonna check out Allison's work. Also, LOVE your personality and energy :)
I love that someone like yourself that’s been on RUclips so long still has the daily styling struggles like the rest of us 🖤🫶🏻
I want to say that you have always had wonderful style! i love wearing white socks with loafers! it's a very girly look
Only good opinions like yours are OK then?
This is the most YOU you’ve ever looked! Do you know what I mean?! These outfits are Allana™️
It wouldn't hurt my feelings if this video became a seasonal thing. Totally loved all the 'fits and how excited you are to play with your clothes! xo
I think you already have impeccable style and have always loved your outfits, but the tips she gave are great reminders to have specially when buying clothes and not be so wrapped up in the trends.

The other day I saw a photo you posted from an event and I literately thought… Allana always knows the right thing to wear… ❤️
No way ❤😭 I appreciate that so much!!! Thank you 😭😭😭

I think your style is very much The Row. Sort of timeless, tailored and classic I think. And I love the loafer and white sock moment!
Ughhhhh my dream brand, truly! Why $2k for a t shirt 😅😂

Agree that this would be so interesting to watch!
Yes please do Kibbe Allana! My guess would be FN or DC…
I was thinking DC too…it’s definitely worth a watch!
Was thinking the same thing! You could absolutely utilize Allison’s three word philosophy and combine that with understanding your Kibbe body type.
Omg yes I was looking for this comment!
Love the new looks. Classy, sophisticated and elegant. My 3 words to describe your style. ❤
Totally agree

wooow I have to say the looks she helped you put together are amazing and suit you perfectly!
This has really inspired me. The loafer looks were my favorite, but I have the tan and black sling back dupes and did not understand how to style them either, and now I do, so thank you!
Your clothing/haul/styling videos are my favorite! Please do more of them, especially as you get new pieces for that new bod!
One of my favourite videos you’ve done recently!!! So good
Thank you !!! Eeee she was so helpful!! ❤❤
Allana, thank you for Everyday May content 🩷
Thank you for being here ❤

Ah, Alison Bernstein is my favourite stylist. Following her for years.
Your excitment and happiness made me smile!!

The thing I think I observed from the video is all the "rules" you have about styling and fashion you should deliberately break them. Because the ones you broke in this video turned out to be a huge success ❤
I love the styling tip with the Chanel sling-backs. I am totally going to do that with my Dior kitten sling-backs!
I adore Allison too! She’s such a genius and I love what you two put together. You two are a perfect match and I would love to see this happen again!
Omg I’ve been wanting to book a session w Allison! Following her for almost a year now and she’s helped my style so much
She was so lovely 😭🙏🏻
My favorite video I've seen! So happy for you! Looking forward to the next one
Two of my favorite creators and experts in their fields in one spot!! Love.
As a viewer you pick up on comments people say about their bodies and it is bothersome and can influence others in a negative way.
This video was so fun! I'm so glad you feel like you learned more about your style, it can def be a struggle and so frustrating sometimes 😅
Wow wow I love this, thank you so much 😭💗
Omg losing 50lbs since November is wild! Way to go.!! I wish I could do that. Enjoy your new shape!! 💪💪💪
I've been following for years...I always thought that you have great taste. I do appreciate the fact that, just like most of us, there are struggles too ♡
Love it. Great approach that’s not overwhelming and some direction on adds
Neutral-colored, Oversized, Chic
I'd have described your style with these three words 🫶🏼
I loved the video. Hope to see the follow up ✨
Please do an update of this in 1-2 months time and tell us how it impacted your daily dressing and shopping in the long run.
Everything you said in the beginning I can relate to. Buy something cute … wear … hmmm not as cute. I have some flattering items but they are not my favorites. Makeup is my favorite fun accessory! All of that said, you alwaaaays look good! And the body is rocking!

COOL?!! 🥹🫶🏻🫶🏻

Who would have thought a little tip like showing the top of your foot could change the whole outfit!? Loved this 😮
Right?!!! The magic!!!
So great. Love the looks, I feel your daily struggles. I think it helps us think about the resources available to us too! Great idea, thanks Allana ❤
Happy for you that you loved your consultation! I really love all the outfits with the loafers & the Chanel heels, super cute!! 🤍

Thank you, thank you! This is one of my favorite videos, so helpful! I cannot wait to try out some of these suggestions ❤
I love the black T-shirt with the white maxi skirt!!
Allison is the best ! She has such good content on her channel !
Hi Allana!! I loved this video!! Such a wonderful idea, to make a styling appt. You have such an amazing and beautiful wardrobe!! It's so great that now have a road map to style yourself. I would love to see more videos like this, Lan! Thank you so much!! I love EDM!! ❤️
For someone who has very similar style to you (with the same words that describe my style 🤣) and was feeling a little stuck, this helped a TON!! TYSM!

Great video! Curious to know about the blue boots and the grey suit ( I my opinion would be great together ). 💕
This is so relatable! I feel like I have all the basics but CANNOT put an outfit together. The struggle is real. I’ve been contemplating to see a stylist for so long and seeing this video, I just might ☺️
This was awesome!! Iv been thinking of doing something like this for soooo long. I’m happy I got to see your experience.
I love this so much, it makes me want to dive straight into my wardrobe to see what I can come up with 😍
Such a great video 🙏🥳 the Hermes Oran sandals in the colour Étoupe would be a great match with the belt I think 👌
OMG, I love Allison Bornstein!! Perfect pairing for your style advisor!! Such a great video! 😍😍😍
A game changer for me was getting my colors done and finding out my palette. Allana, you should look into a House of Colour analysis.
I’m dyingggg for Allana to do a video about color season analysis and/or Kibbe body type!
This video was so interesting! I was so excited to see that the stylist was Alison because I follow her everywhere too 💖
Btw the words that make me think of you are
1. Minimal,
2 Put-together
3 comfortable
I would absolutely love more styling content! I personally would find it super helpful if you could show outfits and specify what you'd wear them to/for and why. for example I have 6234568 shoes but only wear one pair of sneakers for running errands and grocery shopping and one pair of ankle boots I wear for coffee dates etc. I would love your input and outfit inspo! 🖤
Really enjoyed this video. We really do not need a lot of stuff, but take a deeper dive into our closets. ❤
Awesome video, thanks for sharing this! I resonate with the struggle to dress my body shape, gonna check out Allison's work. Also, LOVE your personality and energy :)
I loved this! I feel so happy for you! You seemed so thrilled!
