As a fellow Canadian, and someone who is also struggling with maintaining my 3 words in our winter I’ve just ordered a pair of waterproof Ariat cowboy boots. Granted, one of my 3 words that Allison gave me (yes it’s you who inspired me to contact her-best decision ever!) is Western but you might like how sleek some of their boots are but with great Winter ready soles. Xoxoxo
I watch these videos for tips on what to get my wife for Christmas or Birthdays. She always loved the gifts I get her that you tipped me off on. Also, she loves turtleneck sweaters too and has gotten me into wearing them as well!
I love winter clothes. I was never into fashion until the last couple of years and I'm in my 50's. I live in the Chicago area and I've been layering turtlenecks and sweaters since I was a little kid because I was always so cold. I never knew it was fashionable I just wanted to be warm. Now I'm going to feel so stylish in my sweaters and turtlenecks. I love these styling videos I have the same style words so these videos have been really helpful. Thank you for making them!
I LOVE the way your eyes light up when you speak because you are so excited! Thank you so much for sharing the advice Allison gave you! I took some notes and pictures of your outfits! I was struggling to plan my outfit for work tomorrow, but this video helped a lot! I am so happy I watched it! xx
Absolutely love your styling videos! I’ve been learning so much alongside you! As a fellow turtle neck lover, I have gained a lot of inspo from this video! Happy Lanmas ❤✨🎄
I love watching styling video and learning to use what I already have in my closet. I have just done a big clear out, and only saved the more classic pieces. It’s time to start fresh and to stop buying clothes without thinking. 💕
Woman, you can make a burlap sack look good! With a body like that, that hair, and skin...you shine like a rare diamond 💎 An unexpected twist to that burlap sack would be a bold red lip❤ I love these fashion videos, since I know nothing on the topic. Thanks for sharing all the things you learned!
for some reason this video was really helpful...as a mom, I don't spend nearly the same amount of time putting outfits together that I used to...this gave me really good, easy tips. xo
The caption on the video you featured on the side, “What to wear in your 30’s” reminded me of my daughter’s take on her former love for Forever 21. She said she’d moved on to “Finally 22”!
As I am not a huge scarf-person layering roll-necks under literally everything and anything has been my whole life every single winter so far. Imagine the career opportunities I missed to not have shared this apparently groundbreaking advice on social media damn it 😂😂😂 great video! Love the vibe.
Love your outfit inspiration! You have inspired me on my journey to update my wardrobe, and start my own series on Instagram to inspire women over 40 to dress better. Thank you for everything you do! Can't wait for the rest of Lanmas ❤
Thanks for taking us on this style journey, Allana! Your words match your personal style so well 😊 My 3 style words are: Dramatic, Elegant, and Comfortable. I tend to gravitate towards 60s/70s-inspired silhouettes, patterns and colour palettes! 🟥🔵🟧🟤🟩
I love these styling videos! It’s making me consider what my 3 words would be. I feel like I have an aspirational style that I’m drawn to, but I work from home and so sometimes no one sees me besides my husband 5 days a week. I feel like I don’t put enough effort into styling myself for days that I don’t leave the house, since I would rather just be comfortable
Those black pants look great on you!!!! While I live in the southern states, I will for sure use these layering tips-considering our mornings can be slightly chilly and the afternoons are quite warm! We love a Layering Lanmas!!! 😎 happy happy holidays!!!
Turtlenecks are great piece to layer on! Crewnecks, sweaters, you name it! But I prefer those with the shorter neck, I feel like they suit me more. Love the fashion vids, always! 🤍
Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. It is SO helpful for me as I navigate my closet! Like you said, it seems simple but its a muscle we must learn to flex!!
Every year I feel like I can’t find the right turtle necks they’re either too boxy or too fitted but those everlane ones look stunning on you! Might have to try 😯
Thank you for sharing with us your session with Alison! Not only did it help you but definitely help me as well, at least understand fashion and overall style !! :)
Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge you have gained through these sessions! Love the tip about using hair and makeup for the unexpected. Definitely wear the Aviators, they look great on you!
I love Wear It Well and I too struggle with my words but it is so great to watch you go through this at the same time as me! Though your starting point is way better - half of my closet is million years old that is silly for me now, the other is just experimental mess. 😅
discovered Alison thanks to you and it has helped with my wardrobe struggles, love these videos, I always get great inspo from them, you're rocking your style Lan!
Loved this, Lan! Detroit girly and it’s so hard in the winter to not just look like the Michelin Man at all times. Excited try out some of these tips! :)
These videos are so so so helpful and totally push me to getmyself out of my funk with clothing, totally need to get myself in to styling outfits not in the morning so I can actually check how things look and not in a rush. do I still wear cozy comfy stuff from Skims 90% of the time while I work from home.
You got me thinking about what would be my 3 words and I laughed when I realised that no 2. and no.3 are chic and effortless respectively, but my no1. is CHANGEABLE - because I love and regularly switch between the styles typical for the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s...and so it goes up until current modern trends.
'if you remember' please i could not stop thinking about this green sweater ever since your last styling vid im SO in love with it if you can let me know which brand it is omg 🙏🙏
I’ve really loved this series. It would be so cool to have her come into my closet and make outfits for me. What a fun job too! Thank you for sharing what you’ve learned with us too, I’ve used several of the tips! I don’t think I can find three words. I think it would be better if I could stick to three, I’d be less overwhelmed at times, but I just have so many sides to me that I want to dress for. I’m athletic chic, I’m girly, I’m tomboy, I’m classic, I’m elegant, I’m playful, I’m also a farm girl. I want all these moods in my closet. Just me?!
I hate that people made you feel bad about the unexpected word because I saw how it made you think twice about your outfits and how to add an “unexpected” (for you!) piece! I’m really glad that you were able to incorporate it in another way!! :)
I love layering my clothing :) and adore neon green sweaters n eyemakeup. LOVE the black pants n sweater then the black /white stripe sweater over it. I would add sterling silver chunky necklace with it . I must have that soft yellow sweater :) Making my Christmas list here. God bless everyone :) warm huggggggggggggggggggggggggs
That turtleneck under a turtlneck you wore at the beginning is SO nice! I want to copy this look so bad. Can I ask how you keep your legs warm? I mean is it possible to style snow pants? :P
By the way, the people that criticize you over your fashion videos and saying things like they're not original or whatever are not the people that you're trying to help right now, and maybe that's what you should think about when you read comments like that. There's a lot of us out here on the same journey. Have no idea what the heck we're doing when I comes to fashion and feeling good and in our bodies and our clothes. Your videos are for them or us. You know what I mean hopefully lol
I have been on the hunt for the perfect turtleneck sweater- I’m convinced it doesn’t exist for my body type lol. I also never hardly leave my house except for doc appointments or kids sports so 99% of the time I’m in comfy sweats!
for inspo to style your aviators, look at angelina jolieeee. omg i love how she styles her aviators with her chic outfits! i feel like it could go with a lot of your clothes cuz your words are effortless and chic and classic, i feel like very similar to angelina's.
When monochroming, have you ever tried black pants with black boots/shoes and a black V-neck or crewneck sweater with a cream or marle grey turtleneck underneath ?
Maybe ill finally wear something other than a baggy sweatshirt and leggings all winter? Probably not, but I do like the layering a turtleneck to look more polished
It might sound silly, but I have recently learned a trick of placing a silky (in texture) scarf over my face when putting on/taking off any top garment, but especially one that is tight around the neck. It works! Still not sure how not to disturb the hair up do tho. :)
Do I wear sweatpants everyday… yes. Did I proceed to watch this whole video anyway? Also yes! I love your style. ❤
Same. I work from home, rarely leave the house, and never buy new clothes… but she is my fashion idol 😂
Sameeeee 😂 one day maybe 😅
Same 😂

I love layering my clothing :) and adore neon green sweaters n eyemakeup. LOVE the black pants n sweater then the black /white stripe sweater over it. I’m not embarrassed to say I’ve checked twice now for your latest daily. 😂 you are my advent calendar!!!
LANMAS 🍫
I have been on the hunt for the perfect turtleneck sweater- I’m convinced it doesn’t exist for my body type lol.
I also never hardly leave my house except for doc appointments or kids sports so 99% of the time I’m in comfy sweats!
Was starting to think there was no Lanmas today and kept thinking wait did I watch today’s already 😂❤
Me too!
same :)
❤
Me too!!
Sorry we were a little late today and will be tomorrow too!! Then back to mornings!! 😅😅❤❤
I really enjoy these styling videos!
I really love your makeup!
The pants look fantastic! Especially love the white turtleneck with the off white Pullover on top - where is that from?
Loveee these tips and outfits
The turtleneck under everything is giving grandma chic too but it ain’t a bad thing
Could you share who makes your watchband and and the color, love it for winter!
She's got style, she's got grace ❤
I purchase many things you feature in your videos, especially sweaters.
I’m not sure if I missed it but WHAT lip colour is this??? I’m obsessed
for inspo to style your aviators, look at angelina jolieeee. omg i love how she styles her aviators with her chic outfits! i feel like it could go with a lot of your clothes cuz your words are effortless and chic and classic, i feel like very similar to angelina's.
Where is your yellow cardigan from?? 😍😍
Intimissimi has amazing and chic base layers
When monochroming, have you ever tried black pants with black boots/shoes and a black V-neck or crewneck sweater with a cream or marle grey turtleneck underneath ?
It’s hilarious how you said “Tom boy femme” when I’ve literally described your style to my friends as “girly masc” 😂😂 same same but different!
So inspiring!
What brand are the tonal brown sunglasses? The second to last pair
What size turtleneck did you buy?
Your skin 😍
Love this!
A very top gun style golden aviator would suit you!
Where are the tight turtlenecks from?
This was vey educational
Maybe ill finally wear something other than a baggy sweatshirt and leggings all winter? Probably not, but I do like the layering a turtleneck to look more polished
Does anyone know where the cream sweater she is wearing throughout the video is from?
What size did you get in the turtleneck?
HOW ARE YOU PUTTING ON AND TAKING OFF TURTLE NECKS WITH A SLICK BUN AND A PERFECT FACE OF MAKEUP??
It might sound silly, but I have recently learned a trick of placing a silky (in texture) scarf over my face when putting on/taking off any top garment, but especially one that is tight around the neck. It works! Still not sure how not to disturb the hair up do tho. :)
Amazing video ❤
The makeup in this video ❤❤❤❤ tutorial?
