You can get a better steam on shirts by sticking the steamer head under the shirt & steaming from the inside of the garment out (rather than just running it over the surface from the outside) - learned this from truly years of retail hell lol. You really don’t need an iron if you do it this way because you have more control and can hold the item taut with one hand while steaming with the other 🕺

You flip the whole collar up, then you can steam the underside rather than the surface in a circle around the whole thing - way faster than trying to do it while it’s flipped down - and you can hold the collar taut by carefully holding it at the pointed corners when they’re flipped up if there’s a super stubborn wrinkle 🙏🏻

On Sundays, I look at the weather and my schedule and plan my outfits for the week. I always have at least one standby in case I’m not feeling my choice that day. I also plan out my gym classes and pack for them, and my son’s sports schedule and pack for that. I try to meal prep as well, at least to get me through lunches until Wednesday (my husband gets groceries and cooks dinners). Keeps me from getting overwhelmed during this busy season of life!
So smart with the workout outfits too!! Even having them laid out each night makes the morning decision fatigue so much less intense 😅 you’re rocking it mama 🙏🏻🙏🏻💖

I have really enjoyed the addition of the lapel mic, I think it helps create a more casual “intimate” vibe. I did also want to give feedback/ask about using a static mic (even if it’s in frame) for videos that are a bit more formal but not a sit-down. Does clipping the mic on Allana cause problems?

Thanks for this inspirational video. I like that you pulled out the blue slides! I know you’re shy about your toes, but the slides looked fun with jeans. When you added jackets/accessories to the outfit, the feet aren’t where the eyes go first. You got this! ❤

A steamer definitely does not replace an iron steamers are great for a quick fix but ironing your clothes always looks more crisp and it lasts longer than steaming your garmentsv
I can't recommend enough that you try using a flat iron to get clean pant creases! I own an iron, but I truly cannot be bothered most days, so the morning of, I'll turn my flat iron way down, lay my pants along my bed or the floor, and press my pant crease with the two plates. It's SO easy. Also works well on the fronts of buttoned shirts when you're in a rush (and gets in between the buttons).
Love it! Keep the closet clean. Words I need to live by, lol !!!!! Pant hangers....thats a must. I can't live without them. 😊
When your pants shrink in the wash, try to either iron them or steam them and they get their length back again
Love outfit videos ❤ I have to say that I didn’t really find the style that I feel the most "me" in until in my thirties! Also, re the colours of the shirts feeling off, have you considered going for a colour analysis? That tells you what shades of colours work for you the best with your skin undertone/eye colour/etc! So that could be why the shades of the shirts felt off, if they're not in your colour family!
The “uniform” from the start of the video honestly looks so flattering on you, esp with that bold lip! (Gotta know what product that was!) ❤

I'm no stylist😁🙈 But I think those blue sandals will look great as a "pop of colour" with an all white outfit (or all black too) and also, pretty sure, blue goes well with pink.. so if you have a pink summer dress, I think it'll be a cute outfit😊 At least, that's how I would style it and how I DO style my colour shoes!😃

Love this idea and your style! I struggle so much with figuring out my style since I work with kids and wear joggers and tshirts most of the time. I feel like the "I want to be her, but I ALSO want to be her, but I also want to be HER" scenario haha because I love more elegant and tailored outfits but also laid back but also funky and then I end up in sporty and comfy haha
One thing I’ve always tried to do. Is if I can’t find what I’m looking for. As you have a wonderful tailor/ seamstress. Find your dream fabric. Have a pattern made from a piece of clothing you love and have it made. It may seem excessive. However in the long run. Those are the items in my wardrobe that have stayed the test of time.

If you feel that those strong coloured shirts aren't right for you, but you're not really sure why, you might wanna have a look a colour theory based on seasons. Basically it says we're all different seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter) based on ours features and undertones of the skin and it made sence to me and I found it quite fun to look into. I imagine you look really good in more muted, lighter colours. But you look great either way of course :)
The white shorts would go with Birkenstocks in the same colour as your belt would look great. I also have a weird thing with the proportions of my feet. I always worry that they look too small so I need chunky shoes to balance them.

Simple always looks more put together you can have fun with accessories but keep the outfit simple I have the bright button down shirts everyone was buying one or two seasons ago I never wore them either I have so many Trendy pieces in my wardrobe I need to get rid of you buy them because there are so many influencer's telling you that you need these pieces then you never wear them complete waste of money it's fun to watch other people dress up but always keep in mind your own lifestyle and whether you would wear the item if that colour suits you if that's a silhouette you like on yourself before you buy them 🥰

Lovee these vids ❤ (for whites - pants / shorts not see through - try Barbour. Have a lot from them that I’ve had for ages and they last plus look really chic.
The bright shirts would look amazing on you and they can be easily paired with the light blue jeans/ white shorts/ black pants. BUT, It is really difficult to like yourself in brights when you always wear neutrals, it 'kicks'. It takes time and a good tan always helps 😉

Birkenstocks come in a variety of colours and styles for a chunky sandal option that isn't black.
Also there is a store called kookai, I think they are Australian made but ship to the US. They have a few vest tops. I've not had to iron any of their clothes in the oyster fabrication!

Babe…you’ve got to do some COLOR THEORY🌈…I would have to guess you’re an autumn…and could pull off more earthy tones into your wardrobe. Deeper warm colors/light warm colors. Mauve, berry shades, pine green…even olive…pumpkin…navy…browns…yellows like squash or acorn squash, zucchini…okay now I think I’m making myself hungry…but you get the point.
I was thinking that Allana seems to be drawn more to summer colours - cool and more muted tones. We know she likes bright white, light blue, cooler less vibrant greens and is often drawn to cool tones pinks in blush and lip products.
Yes she needs colour theory...and I think that those two shirts are more in bright spring colours, it's probably why they don't suit to her

Nude delicate sandals maybe one strap over toes and one before the ankle thin straps would be better with the shorts outfit the black chunky sandals are drawing your eye down to your feet which you are self-conscious about make it nude then your eye is on the lighter parts of your outfit and not your feet hope this helps you look great 👍

Closed toed Birks would work well for you with shorts too if you want to cover your toes. :)
I am an ironing queen, the Iron makes such a huge difference. And you have to have a great iron. I suggest the Rowenta protester xcel, the better the iron, the easier the ironing. You will look chiq as f@$k!!

What is your steamer? I have one that I bought about 10 years ago. It was a cheap one off of Amazon. Not the greatest, but it has helped me. I am interested in getting a high-quality steamer. I used to work retail and steaming clothes with a retail steamer is amazing. I don’t know how to find that for the home.

I love the idea of outfit planning a lot but the execution fails for me. I’m so much a dress for my mood person that choosing ahead gives me anxiety. What if I just am NOT in the mood! Here’s a conundrum I keep having when it comes to outfits. Help! I struggle when there’s a day planned that requires totally different outfits and hair etc. for example we went hiking so I’m in hiking clothes and then my husband asks if I want to go for dinner. Well yes I do! But I need a whole outfit change and start from scratch. So I end up not going to places because my outfit just doesn’t work. I’m not going into a nice restaurant in my hiking outfit. Am I overthinking? Hellllp! What do you girls do?
