I would definitely keep the CD bag. It has a timeless feel to it so even if you are not using it now, you may use it later, and even if you decide to sell it in 10-20 years, you'll make money on it.
We should definitely be holding luxury brands more accountable for their customer service! When you spend the equivalent of rent on a pair of shoes, that even at a third of their retail price would be a monstrous markup for the company, you expect the whole customer service experience to be equal to your investment.
They are already getting away with scam level prices, so why would they suddenly care if you hit a road bump somehow? We are honestly so indoctrinated to just consume the latest thing they are betting you lose concentration and will soon be distracted by another trend and another shiny thing. Okay, you can never give Bottega Venetta any of your money ever again. That is such unacceptable customer service for an expensive item. Do try to get a strap (or two, to make sure they match) made somewhere else though, so the shoes actually get some wear. Definitely try to dye the linen dress. Since it's ruined anyway you've got nothing to lose. Check the fabric composition - since they say the body of the dress is 100% linen it should dye with normal fabric dye. I wouldn't use the kind you throw in the washing machine since the dress is dry clean only (although we know how that turned out 😫); do it by hand in the sink. Please make a video of the process! It'll be a fun experiment and the revenue from the video can help recover the cost of the dress 😅
A great friend of mine dyed her wedding dress (Vera Wang) and has worn it again and again for formal events. So definitely room for redemption for the Staud dress - the cut and fit were so nice!

For those Bottega Venetta sandals, with the missing strap, instead of getting a matching strap made, I think you should just get soft leather laces/strips that can be tied in a contrasting color like tan, orange or black. It’s an easier fix that can make the shoes even better in the end.

Fun video! this is what I would like you to try: for a day (or just a few hours) when you are at home and not going anywhere or filming or anything that you necessarily need to be dressed up for, I want you to wear the blue shoes and the grey blazer suit and the last pair of sunglasses (put them on a gold necklace chain or something and use to accessorize like jewelry rather than killing your head) and just go about your day in that outfit and notice not how you look (don't even look in the mirror at first!), but rather how you FEEL in the pieces. Do you feel powerful? Fashionable? Confident? Strong? Or do you feel uncomfortable, silly, awkward, etc.? See what this little experiment does foe you. :)

Fellow large-headed girl here. I wear men’s glasses designs. The frames are just that bit bigger. (I also wear men’s hats/beanies/caps almost exclusively.)
I don’t know if you’ve considered this or it would be passable but it reminds me of the double tour bracelet from Hermès maybe try that for the BV sandals?
You can change the fit of the sunglasses yourself by heating the ends with a hairdryer and VERY carefully bending them how you like. A tiny bit at a time and repeat until they feel good. I’ve done it to some prescription glasses that were too tight and it worked great. You have to be very careful and patient though, so you don’t bend too much and snap them! On second thought, maybe just take them to a professional! 😂
Great video, Allana! Those two pairs of sunglasses are both SO good on you! I believe you can take them to any store that sells eyeglasses and they can be adjusted to fit you better. I have the opposite problem, with a small head, and I always need to get my eyeglasses adjusted to fit me so they don’t fall off. 😂

It wasn’t too expensive, roughly 300 euros, but it’s still a sizeable chunk of change for my budget. If you want custom straps for the shoes, an old school cobbler could do it. They can basically rebuild a whole shoe, so straps would be really easy.

I'm sad at Bottega for not helping with the strap...v bad service imo. Anyway, can you wear them with out an ankle strap? If so, maybe have the back piece removed? If not, don't your new Jennifer Chamandi flats have removable ankle straps? Could you use those? Love your fav pics, but also with a little effort you could have almost twice as many. You can change the fit of the sunglasses yourself by heating the ends with a hairdryer and VERY carefully bending them how you like. A tiny bit at a time and repeat until they feel good. I’ve done it to some prescription glasses that were too tight and it worked great. You have to be very careful and patient though, so you don’t bend too much and snap them! On second thought, maybe just take them to a professional! 😂
Great video, Allana! Those two pairs of sunglasses are both SO good on you! I believe you can take them to any store that sells eyeglasses and they can be adjusted to fit you better. I have the opposite problem, with a small head, and I always need to get my eyeglasses adjusted to fit me so they don’t fall off. 😂

I’ve been on the hunt for an evening bag for ages, and I finally bought a Zadig & Voltaire Rock bag last week. It wasn’t too expensive, roughly 300 euros, but it’s still a sizeable chunk of change for my budget. It’s a good thing I bought it when I did, because 2 days later I saw your Dior club bag and fell in love. It’s EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for, and I would love it forever, but I really shouldn’t spend that kind of money on a bag! If I hadn’t already bought the ZV bag at literally 1/10th of the price, I probably would have talked myself into buying the Dior! 😂
