i really love the movie, but this story start for the show (the death of a boy playing with scissors and father ''recreating'' him) is just so damn beautiful :O
I went to c this ballet ut was amazing i hope he does it again and brings it to london and i cant wait for his new ballet i have already seen loads of his
I saw it on the 21st too at Milton Keynes Theatre and admittedly - as a 56 year old man - I cried at the end too,,,it was witty, funny, magical and simply wonderful! I just hope that Matthew Bourne has plans to release it on DVD someday.
Katie-leigh Storr Thanks, but It's the 1990 Tim Burton film that's on DVD, but hopefully Matthew Bourne will release a DVD of his ballet production someday just as he did with his ballet versions of Swan Lake, Nutcracker and The Car Man.
Katiewbyy-Edward Scissorhands is my favourite movie as well. That movie has held a special place in my heart ever since I first saw it as a kid, and Matthew Bournes ballet adaptation definitely does the movie justice, and I'm so glad he kept Danny Elfmans score. When they recreated the iconic moment from the movie were Kim finds Edward carving the ice sculpture I found it hard not to cry hearing that beautiful music performed live.
i can't wait to see Edward scissorhands i got my tickets i am going with my carer i got a hamster call edward Clingy claw hands she is black white hamster 🐹
