    Hey friend, you should have areas on the firewall that look like rubber grommets that you could feed the wire harness thru instead of taking a chance of pinching it in the door jam.

    Is the Relay OK to be screwed in anywhere or is it supposed to go into a slot in fuse box?

      Had same question, seems if you can find the ones that mount to the hood support/hinge thatd be best but another channel I saw said he hasnt had an issue with them in his 9 months of owning.

      @KDMCurt have you driven those pod lights through a car wash tunnel with them not being pulled by the car wash while touching the vehicle? I am on the fence from being concerned these might get pulled off by a touch carwash.

    • @williamgalicia6219
      @williamgalicia6219 6 месяцев назад

      @@ziggydiaz7601 yes they fly off, so pull them off or tuck them away inside the hood before entering.

    Great mod. I may not want the lights on hood all the time (i.e. highway road trips, etc.)...any concerns just unplugging the lights & removing the mounts ... in other words any special protection for the connector plugs under hood when not plugged in the lights/lights removed? thx!

    the lights are conected directly to the battery forever? I guess it should be another way

    • @anthonyfletcher8053
      @anthonyfletcher8053 3 месяца назад

      Yes. If you wanted to you can get your power source from elsewhere (fuse box) but it should be fine connecting straight to battery. This way you can turn the lights on without having to put the key in the ignition.

    Hello. Can I connect the red to the fuse box instead of the car battery. I wanted them to be on as day running lights

    • @tomloweshow
      @tomloweshow 2 месяца назад

      Yeah you can get ‘piggyback’ fuse adapters so that the lights come on with the ignition. Chose a fuse that you want for example if you want it to come on with dipped beam, main beam, fog lights etc. use that fuse slot and the relay will engage with the current from that fuse slot. I hope that makes sense but there are diagrams online which might help visualise. I have my light bar hooked up to the main beam using this method

    • @KDMCurt
      @KDMCurt  2 месяца назад

      @ yes, you can open and close the hood like normal. The only time it drains battery is when it’s on really, and even then it’s not that bad since they are LED and use less power.

    You didn't adjust the aiming. You could potentially blind the oncoming traffic.

    • @KDMCurt
      @KDMCurt  9 месяцев назад +6

      I adjusted them for off-road so I can see what’s infront of me at a longer distance and wider angle. You shouldn’t use these on main roads with oncoming traffic that’s not what they are for.
