When I was a teenager, before i was even out of bed, I heard my mother every day yelling non-stop about those "lousy goddamned spoiled brats." A few times, I exploded, saying that I couldn't stand her constant yelling. He looked at me, stunned. "I don't yell at you." She was troubled to find out what was wrong with this poor, disturbed child. How do you respond to that? I locked myself in the bathroom. After a while, she unlocked the door and came in. She sat down and carefully explained, "There are two types of people in the world - realists and idealists..." How could I respond to such total insanity?
John 8 42: Jesus said unto them, “If God were your Father, ye would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do ye not understand My speech? Even because ye cannot hear My Word! 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.
So, what facts do you have in mind? Give an example. You see without specifics it can sound like you're hiding some bias?? Not meaning to sound unkind.
Here's an IRL example from my life recently if you are interested: Someone I thought was a trusted friend has a master's degree in mental health and markets herself as someone who is a "healer," specifically for women who have trauma from toxic men who cross boundaries. I thought she was a safe friend until her husband tried some inappropriate stuff with me at a party. When I approached her with this information, she denied that it happened. She basically said it was all in my head and that I misinterpreted his behavior as flirtation. When I pushed back with evidence like the fact that other people witnessed, she then pivoted and said well he has autism and he was drunk etcetera etcetera. Constantly moving the goalposts and refusing to allow her husband to take accountability. Protecting him and enabling him. It has also come out that other women in our friend group have also experienced his groping tendencies, and she has a pattern of shaming and ghosting them as well, claiming that they are all toxic Liars. she claims that she is a healer, but she is, in fact, going around hurting people changing the facts to fit her narrative to protect her business image and marriage.
