      I’m glad you have now. I wonder why scrubs have V necklines. Having worn scrubs for years on end... I wondered whyyyy. The ones I wore were unisex and very shapeless/ugly.

    • @jennycollard1173
      @jennycollard1173 4 года назад

      Lifting Pins and Needles I started making scrubs as my daughter was just finishing her medical degree and being accelerated into work because of COVID-19 in the uk. She’s 4’11” and petite. Men’s small scrubs swamped her. Then I made them for a couple of GPs who were required to wear them, but couldn’t buy them, and then for an Osteopath who will be required to change clothes between seeing patients or consume masses of plastic to be disposed of after each consultation. He has said made to measure scrubs are the most comfortable work clothes he has! The power of fitting!!

    Marina, I love how you do hand basting. That shows how much care and pride you put into your makes😁. This encourages me to do likewise,even in simple designs. That gives your garments that high end couture quality. Thank you for sharing!

    thank you for the video Karina, I actually have the other pattern, Love Notions classic tee pattern and always make the vshape. I have made it long sleeves and short sleeves for the summer. I have even combined a puffed sleeve pattern on it which came out great. All in knit fabric. I have learned the hard way on at least one of the shirts, to always take the extra steps you explained for the v neck. thanks again. Love Love Notions patterns.

      I have to make the classic tee when I have a knit that inspires me. I’ve ruined my share of V necklines before too. Although I cut away the mistake and have done it again more low cut 😄. It’s worth the extra little steps for sure.

    Hi Karina. I enjoy all of your videos. I learned to sew at a young age but I am always wanting to learn new or better techniques. And fabrics have changed quite a lot since I first learned to sew. When fabrics change, so does the techniques and notions needed to handle new types of fabrics. Thank you so much for your videos. Happy New Year to you and your family.

    Hi Karina
    Happy new year 🥳
    Just to let you know I was so inspired by your willow wrap vlog that I made it up immediately and wore it out New Year’s Eve. I really liked the tip about lining the back, the only change I made that you didn’t was to hand stitch the facing for a more formal look
    I love your vlogs and look forward to many more inspirational makes this year 🥰👍

    Great tutorial! Love both of the dresses, fabric is so pretty. Especially love the v neck. They look so comfortable! You did such a great job demonstrating how to baste that v into place. I am so ready now. Just printed off the pattern, now to trace and cut out, but what fabric??? Thank you so much, you are Brilliant!

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  4 года назад +1

      Hi Hazel. Look at the video I posted today about the Balboa skirts and you’ll see footage on that topic :)

    • @hjkennaugh
      @hjkennaugh 4 года назад

      I have checked it out, loved the pattern and ordered it. I have the twin needles. I understand the sizes are in millimetres and relate to the distance between the needles so the small spaced one is probably a 2mm and the larger a 4mm. Thanks for all you do I love your style and learn something every video I watch.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  4 года назад

      Si es de material normal que no tiene stretch, si, por supuesto :)
      Si es un escote en V, es mejor usar la Vista.

    Thank you for the v-neck tutorial. I have avoided them but you’ve given me the confidence to give it a try.
    I have made several Laundry Day dresses. They fit me great everywhere but the sleeves are always huge on me. Yours seem to fit perfectly. Do you have to make full bicep adjustments on other patterns? I don’t recall having a problem with sleeve size on any other pattern.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  4 года назад

      The whole pattern has been redrafted and the sleeve is no longer on the fold. In the test, some ease was taken from the sleeve too. I suggest getting the updated version from your love notions account and trying it 😊
