- Since the introduction of the Casiotron digital watch in 1972, the Casio Corporation has demonstrated their ability to create new, affordable, well designed, and ingenious watches. Casio has ingrained itself and it's watches in the lives of all of us. Watches like the C-80, the F-91W and the AE1200 invoke a sense of nostalgia in us. Watch as I break down and give my opinion as to why Casio watches are so popular.

100% agree! Thanks for watching and for commenting!!
I have about 15 of them. Long story short: you can’t have enough of them
That is so true! You can never have too many of them!! Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment!!
Recently got back into Casio with an AE-1500....loved it so much, i bought 2
The AE-1500 is a really nice watch. Has a nice look to it. Thanks for watching!
December 23 : I had only 2.. SGW-200 & WS-300 which I had bought decades ago.
About 6 months later : I’ve close to 30 Casios - I don’t know why 😉
What is it about CASIO that is so attractive right!?! Thanks for watching and for you comment!
OMG, same. Reliving my childhood!
It's like Casio watches take us back to a much simpler time. Thanks for watching!
I remember the calculator watch. As a kid, I always thought they were so cool.
I know right!?! Those were so cool!!!Thanks for watching!!
I have been watching your channel i while now can you do a review about the Casio G5600ue - 1
Thanks for the suggestion! There are so many great Casio's. Thanks for watching!!
I like the databank models. I found one in an online auction, replaced the battery and it was good again. The only trouble i have is the plastic lug areas are prone to breakage which results in having a nice tiny desk clock suddenly.
:)
LoL!! Yeah not much of a fan of tiny desk clocks! I didn't know about that weak point until now. Thanks la for sharing and thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment!
Over 10 years ago, I took a spill on a rainy day on a set of concrete stairs. The bracelet on my watch was badly scratched but the watch didn't miss a beat. That's the same watch I'm wearing as I type this comment. The ugly scratch is still there but the watch still runs and I've changed the battery countless times. The watch with the beat-up is a Casio. I was once a Casio salesman back in 1979 so I''m partial to them.
I hope you are okay after that fall!! Yes, Casio watches tend to take a pretty good beating where others would fail and it's still running too!! Thanks so much for watching and for you comment! Take care!
Field watch? Sure, has a compass, baromter, altimeter, thermometer. Dive watch? Any G will go down 200m, some Casios too. Chronometer? Not ony do they count up, they count down, plus record laps. And for hours and hours on a legible screen. Cosc certified? Atomic timekeeping or bluetooth. Perpetual calendar? Yes. I could go on, but you get thhe idea.
After 40 years in this game, have gone back to my real love. Plastic fantastic, sorry resin watches. Lightweight, comfortable, accurate. Affordable. Feature-laden. Have kept two or four purely analog stainless steel watches (I1m not a complete heathen), but wear my lightweight, precise, digitals or anadigis 99% of the time. Like that second watch I had back in 77 or 78, they have a light, you can play who stops the stopwatch fastest. My kid likes them, wears mine sometimes and has a few. When I wore "real" watches he couldn't care less.
At 52, I'm back to those days when I was 8. Yes nostalgia is a strong factor.
Good video.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I do love the versatility of Casios. They have quickly moved up to being one of my top three favorite watches. Oh who am I kidding, it's my favorite!! Thanks for watching and for sharing your story!!
Loves casio
Well said! Thanks for watching!
they are cheap and will work for years , got a SUF 100 buy it when i was 12 in the 80is , pop new battery in still works , is not only the digital the analogs are also really good and stylish , i had bunch of swatch they all stop working at some point
You are so right! The analog watches are fantastic! I have the Casio Duro and a G-shock Casioak. The SUF100 is a great looking watch! These watches are practically indestructible! Thanks so much for watching and for leaving a comment!
@@infinitekronos will like to get a duro at some point , i currently have the mtp 1370p wear it frequently , look nice if you don t see the casio logo it look like wery expensive watch ,
The 1370 is such a nice watch. Yes it does give off a Rolex vibe. I really like the day at the top and date at the six o'clock position. I think the 1370 is great watch to have. Looks both sporty and dressy. Fantastic!! All the best to you!
Man your channel has really long Name 😊
LoL! I was going for something unusual but memorable. LoL! I suppose I succeeded in some way with the long name . 😂 Thanks so much for watching!
A lot of people say that Casio is "God Tier" thanks to a meme from an obnoxious Irishman but people don't realize how Casio because what it is today. They carved a path of their own and one that only they could perfect before the others started walking on it. They are not your average watch brand and they don't even pretend to be. That's what makes them God Tier.
I totally agree. I am digging into the history of Casio and it is an incredible story! Thanks for watching and for your comment!
from Google : Calculator watches first appeared in the mid-1970s introduced by Pulsar (1975, then a brand of the Hamilton Watch Company) and Hewlett-Packard. Another popular calculator watch was the Time Computer Calculator 901, which could perform basic arithmetic functions.
Thanks for the information! Appreciate the checking ! Thanks for watching!
I have two arms, I wear two watches. Even you should be able to grasp that concept.
LoL! Yeah it feels uncomfortable for me to wear two watches, not sure why. Thanks for watching!
Nostalgia: I have none, by the time they became affordable I was in college and had other toys. I still have a bunch of Casio watches...
The F91W for instance does not do much for me, I like watches with more complications/functions, as long as they don't go into smartwatch territory, I hate being interrupted when I'm working on something.
I so agree with you on the F-91w. When I was in school it was the Casio calculator watch and the watch that played its version of space invaders. Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment.
Nostalgia nothing, they're simply brilliant and that's that
I absolutely agree! Thanks for watching!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for watching!!
I hate to be that guy but the Pope wears a Swatch. It does look like a Casio but it's not.
Thanks so much for catching that, really appreciate it. Thanks so much for watching, I hope that did not stop you from finishing the video.
@@infinitekronos no worries, bud. Yeah, I got 12 Casios amongst my far too large collection so I did enjoy the vid 👨🏻🦲👌🏻
@@seanhickling7340 Twelve!?! That is just awesome to me. I've got five of them and can't seem to stop looking for the next one. LoL! Thanks again!
It is a Casio indeed...this is the model...MQ24-7B2
