Bought one a while back, stays on the wrist doesn't move, can't even feel it, brings back memories from 80's. Many people say the f91 is very small, that is true, i call it a small watch with a big heart! Love it!
It's just the most iconic watch ever mafe by casio. I already know that if I ever end up owning my absolute grail watch (witch is the omega speedmaster) I will still have this casio in the same box and probably wear it more than the omega.
The F-91w was THE watch I started wearing to get used to wearing a watch, and 3 years later I still wear it every single day for work. Ive never had a watch that starts so many conversations than I do with the F-91w
I purchased the Casio F-91W recently and absolutely love it, so iconic, understated even though it's been so popular over the last 30 years, well made, keeps the accurate time for a relatively long period, easy to use, comfortable to wear, incredibly lightweight and looks pretty good on your wrist, no matter what clothing you're wearing. You just cannot go wrong with buying the F-91W, it's so inexpensive at around £10, but at the same time has all the important and basic features that you would want in a watch. Yes the backlight is not great but this somehow adds a bit of charm to the F-91W, and I admire Casio for keeping the same design and functionality of the watch which they could have easily changed over the last 30 years. Because the F91-W is so inexpensive it's probably one of only a very few watches where you'll decide to replace it once the battery dies. You'd be saving some money buying a new battery and fitting it yourself but doing it any other way like taking it to a jewellers or watch repair shop would cost more than what you originally bought the F-91W for. The only improvements and new features I'd make to the F91-W would be a better and brighter backlight, countdown timer and mute function.
I collect watches and I have to say that the F91W is a MUST for any watch collector. Here in the UK, they sell for £10.99 GBP They do what they say on the tin... TELL THE TIME no added promises. They hold a very accurate time for a non-radio-controlled watch. I have tested mine and it is MANY times better than an automatic Seiko for accuracy (Holding the correct time) I accidentally put mine in the washing machine on a 2 Hour wash ..It was in my jeans back pocket... It survived perfectly well. This watch has a heart of a lion. And for the cost if it does somehow get damaged.. Just buy another one.. TBH when the battery dies. It is just as cheap to buy a new watch... It is a design icon from Casio for the same price as a takeaway pizza.
This watch does much more than what Casio promises. I've been swimming with it for a year now (I even pressed buttons to use the chronometre under water) and no issues. Stunning
I've had an F-91W for a long while now, it just does everything it says in the ...err...packet. I have some more premium watches from premium brands but that takes nothing away from when I wear the F-91W when I often catch myself smiling at the honesty of this watch. The battery may only last many years but don't bin and old buddy, batteries cost pence and a little deft use of a screwdriver and your old friend will be resuscitated for may years on. If the strap breaks (it could be great as a pocket watch in a suit) there are many alternatives as well that may cost nearly as much as a new watch but! Would you really want to discard to landfill a good capable friend for the sake of a new band? This watch is an icon right up there with the G-Shock.
I forgot to bring my watch while I was in Japan; and so I stopped by an electronics store and purchased a Casio F91W; it was slim and light and I totally forgot I had it throughout the trip.. It's gonna be my travel watch from now on.
Do you notice that some of the newly produced F-91Ws has removed the very little tiny "U" symbol, no chemical smells, and improved glass that did not easily scratching from cleaning the moist, sweat or fingerprint. But the terrible lime green light is still there that's why I love the authenticity of this watch that cannot change.
I love this watch, feels really nice. Really lightweight. I love the Tissot Prx 35mm with the green dial, but the iceblue colour are just out of this world.
Is not just the fact that it is a very versatile and good quality put together watch; but it also fills two important times in your life, either the first watch giving to you by your parents or the first watch you buy yourself, and those two memories are very strong.
I was given this watch as a coming of age present for entering secondary school 😂 I felt like a grown ass man going into year 7 with my black blazer and black Casio watch that matched my school uniform 🤣🤣🤣 love that watch so much
@@CollapseableInfinity awesome watches. I had mine on an 18mm leather strap. Totally changed the feel. Now finally got my grail watch, so the casio is in a drawer
I agree with you thoughts, 100 percent. I am a wearing and lover of this watch, but I never see anyone else in my area wearing one. I find that a bit odd seeing as how many are being sold per year. It seems that most people are wearing a smartwatch or no watch at all, overall. Weird.
I've had mine since 2016 and wore it throughout my whole time in the military, its the one watch that I would say 75% of soldiers I served with owned. None of these military marketed watches or supposedly issued watches (its super hard to get a watch issued to you, especially when you can buy one of these for next to nothing) and there weren't any of those other gimmick watches, not a lot of G shocks either which is a brand I see a lot of youtubers saying soldiers all have, this one was by far the most popular for all the reasons you listed. I still have mine and the battery is still going. (and I was given mine so 8 years + however long the previous owner had it before he gave it to me)
My personal definition of a real watch is one that is not disposable. It needs to be an automatic or battery replaceable without requiring any software updates that will eventually make it obsolete. That's why i don't consider apple, android and garmin watches as real watches.
The watch aspect of smart watches will always work. Its the bloatware, battery life, apps, and support that become obsolete. You can still charge the watch and use it to tell time, other than that it’ll be useless in 10 years. So i agree with terms lol.
@@dialedmedia_ No part of the watch will work. Before long the battery won't take a charge and you'll have a throw it out because the battery is not replaceable. I have a smart watch in the garbage as the battery is useless.

I used to have one in the early 90s and this is a wonderful reminder of that one, I love its simplicity and besides, I'm a Casio fanboy. I challenge anyone to have just one .. I did try but I now have 8 or so 😊
To the uninformed it's just a cheap watch but in actual fact it's one of the greatest pieces of engineering in the history of mankind. Can you name anything as strong, as capable, as accurate, as usable, as convenient and as affordable as the Casio F91w? I don't just mean watches, I mean anything.
I got the GD 100 and dayum the build is impressive I would on purpose beat it on a hard surface many times and it has been months and I'm still speechless about how rugged this watch is for ₹6000
FACE CORNERS BREAK. In the corners of the face, where the screws go in, the resin case is thin and not durable. After 8 months, a piece broke off from one corner. I taped it together. I couldn't glue it back on because the piece was lost. After 1 year 4 mths. (battery still working), a 2nd corner broke and I was unable to wear the watch. This also happened with my resin case Casio 3284 LA 20WH. A corner broke off, which I glued back on. I changed the battery once many months later and it was still ok. Recently of removed the screws to change the battery again, and another corner broke off a few days later. I will only buy metal case watches with back screws to change the battery, from now on.
I'm afraid to say but your F-91W might be fake (i'm not sure however). To my knowledge, the two ways to verify an original Casio F-91W is to press and hold the right button and the word "Casio" will show up, however the thing that i'm actually concerned about is the fact that there should be a very tiny yellow "U" on the botton right corner beneath the word "Resist" Anyways, great review about the watch
I don't think so. I just bought one from a credited seller, and it doesn't have the little U either.
