When it comes to value and dependability, the F91W is arguably the world's best watch. No mechanical watch can surpass its accuracy, and it offers superior water resistance than Casio claims, making it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and even surfing. Additionally, its lightweight design ensures greater comfort compared to any steel watch. I've dived down to 10 meters repetedly with an F91W with no issues. In many ways, this truly is the world's best watch.
Same here to be honest. I uploaded a video a while ago featuring the Casios I have in my collection and the loudness of their alarm beeps. Interestingly the Casio A-168W was one of the loudest and for the price it was louder then a few of the G-Shocks I have. F91w is such a staple legend at this point that the dimmed backlight is a must. If Casio made the f91w electroluminescent, it wouldn't be the same and I believe there would be a world revolt. That said, Casio offers so literally hundreds of other variations that there's a watch for everyone. My a168 is my go-to (love it so much I bought 3), but the original is still KING. I recently bought the MQ-24, which is even more barebones, and fell in love with it!
I bought the same watch a couple of days ago I at to have one in my collection it's a Typical casio cheep but just has good has my GWGB1000 it may not have all the same features but is more Comfortab on the wrist and may last just has long
I personally do not take the F-91W off for anything, it is constantly getting wet (shower or swim) and banged about. For ultimate comfort I have mine on a single pass NATO strap, the lug width is 18mm but a 19mm strap fits as well which i think looks better. I recently installed a light spreader which greatly improves the visibility when using the light. All in all one of my favourite Casio's, I've had it for 11 years (still on original battery) and going strong.
Hi!! I've been swimming for a year with this watch (I pressed buttons to use the chronometre and no issues). I would love to get a NATO strap for it, but I don't know if it'll be confortable. What's your experience? Should I stick to the rubber strap? Regards mate
Water resistance in the shower, washing dishes, swimming in the pool, etc. is fine as long as you're not pressing buttons during those moments. A better ideal first watch for kids in my opinion would be the Casio W59. Actually, I would recommend the Casio W59 over the Casio F-91W in general.
I have to admit that you are probably right recommending the Casio W-59 or even the Casio W-86H for kids to have as their first watch, as they are a bit more resistant to water. I just thought at the time that for £10 you cant go wrong with the Casio F-91W. Cheers, Tony - WTA
Amazing that the clarity on the f91w is better than my 5000u. From all angles and has a louder alarm and hourly chime . Oh the buttons are easier to press. Crazy
Everyone loves a F91W.... I picked up a blue one from Argos and I get so many compliments. Annoying really, I have some really expensive watches and my cheapest watch gets the most kudos. My son has the orange one, and my wife has a gold one. Awesome.
I’ve heard of many military members wearing this through their tours in war and it held up just fine. A lot of Ukraine military members are currently wearing this watch right now in their war with Russia
Bought the SKMEI 1123 instead, way better back lights, Blue), and less text and lines clutter. Needed a 29 cm NATO though, band was way too short, same as with most Casios..
I've never had a issue with the backlight. Sure it's not the greatest but I can see the time just fine.
You could dive to the deep end of the Mariana Trench with this watch, and it will be fine. Do not worry about its water resistance. It's a tank.
Still one of the best watches. Never had any problems with showering or even swimming.

I do construction and that is my everyday watch. If you have to wear gloves constantly the small size is really an advantage.

@@tspableras1731 100% NATO. I wear mine a tad loose, I barely know I'm wearing it. Throwing on a strap compass makes it a great hiking watch too.
@@Rnder72 Thanks mate! I'll try the NATO. I still don't know how the strap will work under water, but I'll give it a shot!

Very true as the Casio F-91w has a great display and for its size it’s very easy to read!

Great watches and as you have mentioned tend to be more of a talking point than watches that cost more to own!

I swim every week 5-10 kilometers with this watch, i push the buttons to use the stopwatch for my swim workouts …no issues 👌🏼💦🫧

Their war?...or is it the banks war ? Please ask yourself that question for 1 minute and contemplate who is gaining from this scenario.
@@mikeyblueeyes8449 I just meant the war in general. Take it easy
I just put mine on a quick wash 30 minutes cycle and it's fine
I paid more for the F-91W then the w-218 which is arguably a way better watch in every way
I didn't know you could still get these watches
