Thank you for sharing a beautiful apartment/condo there in NY. The closet spaces are very nice. I like the first floor living room area. Nice!! And you answered my 1st need to with living in a building with the washer &, dryer being inside the unit!!!! Soo nice that is!!!😅 Your looks out the window there are like our views today Monday 4/1 here in Chicago. Totally gray and raining here!!😊
Thank you for the kind words! You're about to send your weather our way. We have rain on the forecast for the next few days!
YIKES! 21K a month for this? That's over 1/4 million a year for an apartment - someone must have to sell a lot of drugs to afford this place. Regardless, I happened upon your videos and find them interesting and well presented. Thanks for giving me a visual taste of various types of living arrangements for those who must live in NYC.
Excellent video I have to say I really loved the view. I can imagine sitting on the terrace enjoying my morning tea ☕️
You and me both!
This is a well done Vlog that completely showcases just how much lower the "floorspace" standard of living in NYC as compared to almost anywhere else. I mean, this place is nice - but - for +$20K/mth - you have got to be kidding? Like everything in life - I gather that this too is just relative to the standards that are around you? Thanks, Hayley - keep on building those subs!
NYC is just a different world! You're paying first and foremost for the joy of living in the city itself and your desired neighborhood. This particular unit has a number of amenities that most don't, and is far larger than most units while also being in a prime location, hence the higher price tag. I moved to the city a few years ago and I happily gave up my house in the suburbs so I could start over with a shoebox apartment in Manhattan, and I'd make the same decision over and over again! Different things make different people happy.
@@hayley_bailiff - I fully agree that NYC is "a different world" with lots to do and plenty to see. However, perhaps an idea for some future Vlog content might be on how a person of "average" means can enjoy what the city has to offer? It might even attract potential purchasers who never thought NYC to be a place where a reasonable level of survival (standard of living) can happen?
@@SteveW60ish That is a good idea! Thank you. I have been trying to focus on more content around the city as a whole. A video with my tips on how I make the city more affordable has been added to the list!
For this duplex, with the space, three terraces, and location, it's about what I expected in price.
@@SteveW60ishCheck out her other videos that show normal apartments instead of luxury ones. It's still an expensive city, but much less than this one.
I love watching NYC apartment hunting videos, coming from Michigan I’m always astounded at the prices of these shoebox apartments. I’ve watch a lot of presenters and you have the most concise and practical information. Plus it’s really nice to see some with furniture of how real people live. Keep up,the good work.
I appreciate the kind words! I am also from Michigan but I moved to my own little shoebox here a few years ago lol
The view is spectacular! Thanks for sharing!
Love this place! If only I could afford it!
This place has no charm whatsoever. The kitchen is nice but there’s no flow from room to room. Low ceilings. The views are the best part of the place
Wow, that price and it’s boring and sterile
The room off of the kitchen is for the live-in nanny/housekeeper.
should come with a chef, a butler and a housekeeper for that price! Insane
When the view is a real focal point, there needs to be night shots in the listing. One gets very frustrated during looky-loo time when there isn't.
Or you're selling a multimillion dollar apartment and there's a dish drainer on the counter.
Or rumpled beds or yucky towels or a thousand framed family photos.
Have just discovered your channel and am enjoying the vicarious living in NYC!
Well I’m thinking 🤔 this would be perfect for me
It’s not the price that bothers me as much as height of the apartment. I would get nervous just looking out of windows. I definitely would not go out on any of the terraces. Maybe an apartment on a lower floor for say about 10k a month would suffice.
I think you could get used to it. I was feeling anxious just watching the video
They couldn’t find another spot for the electrical panel???
I think the building is the Montana, which supposedly the developers back in 80's conceived as a play on the Dakota.
Is that $21,000 a month?
Yes, that is correct!
@@hayley_bailiff wow
Sis, I said the same thing. Crazy, rt? For that rent, you might as well buy.
@@jmbrissett5545To buy would cost millions, plus a large monthly maintenance fee. 😊
How much would you have to make yearly to afford this place ?
This is not worth the amount they are asking even by NYC standards.
Did a penguin shoot this video? Maybe consider investing in a stabilizer.
1:27 that bedroom 🛏 is a Maids Room 🤔
Odd layout. Looks like, if you are on the second floor of the PH, your only exit/entrance, is through the walk in closet. Thank you for the tour.
That is the old entrance to the top floor unit in the closet! I've seen this a lot in duplexes that weren't originally built as a duplex
That is not worth that price.
In Laws? Lol
