Nice apt and nice video. As a germaphobe, I always want brand new homes. As I said, I like the place, but I'd need at least 2 bedroom and 2 bath and a full washer and dryer, or at least a washer dryer combo. Let me know if you see one available. I live in the US, but I'm tired of it, would like to move somewhere new.
As a Russian student I could actually see myself living there. It has everything one needs, a beautiful kitchen, big mirrors, everything in a modern style. Please do more apartment tours, Russel!
as a student i was eating cup ramen... as a someone with 60 000 rub salary i will never be able to buy apartments in moscow. never( what it costs now? last time i looked it was starting from 5 milions... now i think it starts from 7 and in my area it starts from 15 i belive...). good thing i already have place to live in my property. thanks to my grandma. welll i could marry someone who makes money, but i think i prefer to live in my older home
Thank you for showing us a side of Russia westerners rarely get to see. I truly enjoy your videos. As an electrician I’d love to see my fellow electricians in Russia going about their work day. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year that I pray brings peace. 🍻
It's an ordinary Russian entry door. Double locks are not for security. The lock below is the main lock and it is a rather secure lock. But the upper lock is simple, it is a service lock for the case when you need to give keys to some service person like realtor, electrician or domestic help.
Interesting tour, thanks ! Micro apartments similar to this are becoming more popular in the US. In the Seattle area, they start at around $1000 USD for 300 sq feet.
@@ArmadilloGodzilla Yes, basically twice what it would cost in Moscow. Beautiful apartment. I think a young couple very much in love could live there comfortably. Not that big so relatively easy to keep clean. I don't see much snow here in South Carolina, USA so I think the snow is beautiful.
I live in western NY and I find it very interesting that Seattle has these. Here, we do have micro apartments but usually for 55 plus, so I’d easily qualify. 😊
It is very smart but way too small for me, I was actually expecting to see a living room . I personally could not live in a place that small, even if I was on my own. Thanks Russell for an interesting and informative video.
Most apartments have convertible sofa beds in them. This place is going to be rented furnished, so it was the owners choice of what items to put in there.
Propper sleep is the most important thing one wan't to get from an appartment. So a propper bed with a propper mattress are desired by most people who is looking for an appartment to rent for themselves. Landords choosing sofas over beds are considered to be stingy idiots (and for the most part indeed they are).
A very typical & very modern apartment. Russians believe : This is how Europe lives This is how Russians like it. Russian flat comparable = East/West Germany 1960 picture.
I'm by myself with my mom and let me tell you I and my mom would definitely be able to live there. I thought it was absolutely adorable and it's perfect for one or two people . I would probably do a smaller Square table for the kitchen. I have a friend who has a very small home who has one of those sofas but as you said it's L-shaped so you can utilize the wall space and then make the table a tad smaller deceive the eyes and make that kitchen look larger. To me the kitchen was a very good size I would just change the size of the table a smaller Square table for that setup and remove one of the chairs and just leave the sofa and one chair should be more than sufficient. The bedroom was what took me off guard I didn't realize that they get a bed and a brand new mattress which is awesome. Not much more room in there with that bed but you can always put it a tad more to one side so you could have fit a chair in a corner I'm not really sure the space. I really like the bathroom perfect and came with the washer and dryer combo which is always a plus and I do love those showers. I think it's a wonderful apartment and the price is out of this world amazing to me.
I love this series, so happy that you're making more of these videos! Always enjoying them. If you can, for next time, please show family apartments like 2 or 3 bedrooms, something a typical family would rent or buy.
This apartment appears to be very nicely laid out and highly efficient for its size. Amenities such as the four burner built-in range, refrigerator, furnishings including a washer-dryer combo are exceptional for being all-inclusive in the price. Very livable indeed for one or two persons and, in my opinion, most likely a good value based on location and proximity to area infrastructure and transportation.
It is a very practical place for a single professional in a good location. If there was a sofa bed and desk instead of a bed I would definitely be happy to have similar place. But I understand they wanted to apply to as broad number of ppl as possible. Proximity of a subway station and shops literally in a building are my definition of a perfect location. Personally I prefer unfurnished apartments, but this is practical. The kitchen is large and well designed. I am slightly worried for a sofa that hides a heater. This may increase a heating bills.

As someone with 25 years of working in Russia, what Russell is not telling you that Moscow is not Russia and Russia is not Moscow. Salaries in Moscow depending on the job you do can be between x3 to x7 the national average for your job. We paid 1500 US$ a month for a sales assistant in Moscow. This fell to 300 US The top 10% of Russia owns 87% of Russia's wealth and so 90% of Russia is poor. There are numerous areas of Russia where the average wage is between 200-300 US$ per month. To get a more accurate picture of Russia you need to look at other Russia shows.

There is a big income gap in Russia, but in the US it is even bigger. And the top 10% of the rich in the US own a large percentage of the capital. And there are extremely few people in Russia who don't own any real estate at all. In the US 1/3 of the population don't own any real estate at all. In the UK, 1/3 don't own any real estate either. In Germany, 1/2 don't own any real estate at all.
Nice apartment. I could totally live there. Apartments that size in the cities where I've lived in the US are at least double or possibly triple that cost.
It’s basically a hotel room with a kitchenette. For 400$ US , it’s better than living on the street. If it’s heated at that price… then it’s an even better deal. (I don’t think that you mentioned utilities) If I were to consider a space of this size, I would invest in a high end Swedish “Murphy bed” (which flips up and hides into a wall unit) which would give you a small living room by day and a comfortable bed by night…. which is great cuz you don’t have to make up your bed every morning.
Thank you Russell, I look forward to these video's on the micro apartments, just need to be johnny on the spot to be there when available....Yuri does a great job, and just to be able to walk straight in all furnished is the go for someone moving to Russia as a single person with not much more than a computer and clothing... very nice and much appreciated....the price is very affordable and takes a lot of anxiety out of relocation to a new country. 💯❤
Nice apt, the only thing missing compared to some of your other apt tours is a bathtub...especially for Russian winters!..Nevertheless, great video tour, looking forward to more.
Beautiful apt but too modern for me! I like the older units I've seen. Also not a fan of insipid paint colors in the home. But you did a great job of showing it, I always enjoy looking at real estate with you!
Based on the comments, lots of people. For me though, I would be more than happy living in this building. My wife actually has friends who live about 5 minutes from this place.
Very efficient use of space. You can see how apartments there have evolved. Larger kitchen. I would prefer the enclosed balcony. I live in the American south and we don’t have gas. We heat and cool with heat pumps. Very efficient- even for a 3000sq ft house. I’m not sure I like this one better than some of the older microdistrict floor plans. Either way I could live there. Personally, I’d rather live downtown like the apartment with you real estate friend.
The ones they install are ok, or you could replace them to a larger model. We recently did the that in our place a few months ago. It's easy to change them over.
For german circumstances it would be a really good price. In germany, in a smal town, you have to pay approx. 550€ inkl. heating and services of the town for a new 50qm Appartment. The big difference is that in germany the rent inkludes NOTHING. You rent a naked wall appartment with nothing inside. (no lamps) And than the additional costs has to be added. These are all costs like water, enery, (I pay 120€ a month for energy) telephone internet and 18,34€ compulsory contribution for the worst propagandaTV you can imagine.
I lived in Bremen as a student, and this was what I paid for a single room in a commercial hostel. Berlin was nearly double in price. I didnt like the sudden fluctuations in utility prices.
In Sydney, similar would be $500 A WEEK! And you have to hunt for one in this condition. Most of the students settle with the shared house or apartment and still have to pay $500 or more /depending the location, size, etc/ a week
I could live there. Not sure together with my wife though. But I lived and worked on cruise ships for many years. So i am used to smaller living spaces.
28 meters is only around 310 sq ft so it's pretty small even for a studio apartment. But European housing are all small by comparison to what we are used to
It's a good looking apartment. I'd rather have a laundry room in the common area with multiple washers and dryers shared by the building rather than squeezing a tiny washing machine into the apartment though. I guess that would just depend on what you are used to.
Greetings Russel . Beautiful Apartment .nice Area. Thank you so much for your channel. It has opened my eyes to day to day life in Russia. Blessings and merry christmas. From :south Africa. 😊😊😊 i am a new suscriber.
I thought the apartment was really nicely done! Brand new, has in unit laundry and a dishwasher, nice balcony…and it’s almost half price compared to what I pay! Sounds like a deal to me! Only thing I’d worry about is the commute to work (depending). But overall I like it!
Hello! If the bedroom sees to the east, south or west, you will definitely need curtains or rolettes on the windows to protect from sun shining! Without them it will be hard to sleep.
Nice kitchen. Plenty of storage. Ideal for one person. Rent seems reasonable depending on what you earn of course. One thing I would say is I wouldn't want to be the service engineer that has to attempt to repair that washing machine if it goes wrong.
Look really nice and cosy. I really like central heating. It keeps constant temperature. In Canada we have vents with blowing hot air. The problem is as soon as thermostat off temperature starts to drop. I think it’s so practical and thoughtful to have a bike storage space in the building as well👍🏻
Interesting Russian Apartment! While the design seems practical, do you think the uniformity of these apartments might feel a bit monotonous over time? Would adding more diverse architectural styles improve livability?
Apartment blocks = uniformity. That's the very idea of apartment blocks. Looks good to me, btw... The level and quality of finishings I find the level and quality of the finishings quite outstanding. Would hate the washing machine underneath the sink, though...... It'll be on you how you decorate it to give it your touch....
That's what they said in the 1960s and 70s about low-rent Khrushchyov-style commie blocks. Somehow we (I was born in the 1960s) dealt with it, and today you'll find all sort of diversity inside - old and new, classic and kitsch. The only common thing remaining is small size, and it's not negotiable. I've seen big flats made by merging several units - big on paper, still crammed inside.
I live in the Czech Rep. And most people don't have dryers either! 😮 ( Why to waste energy if the clothes gets dry by itself?!😮) People usually dry their washing in a spare room or, if the bathroom is large, in the bathroom. Which actually is impossible in such a small flat like that...🤔 ( Some of our houses have a common " drying rooms" , where one can dry the clothes according to a schedule. Which may be the same case here.. )
Dryers are needed for countries that have moisture and mold problems. We just turn the spin on the washing machine at 1200 rpm. Our air is very dry. After 20-30 minutes everything is dry just air dry. Better yet, iron slightly damp clothes with an iron. They are for sale, but almost no one needs them.
Definitely is a gorgeous apartment but considering it is in Russia it certainly is not inexpensive. It is extremely small so an apartment that would be bigger would be pretty expensive I think. If the average salary is low then it would be pretty pricy for a native of Russia to live.
Keep in mind you can get low percentage mortgages for families with children. You can buy these off plan 2 years earlier much lower in price to the asking price now. You can also live further outside of Moscow or in a different city.
I wouldn’t like it that small. I think the price is high for its size. However, I do appreciate that crime is low in Russia. Whether it’s new or not, wouldn’t be important to me. However, size is.👍🏼
Russia: Average monthly wage = $850. UK: Average monthly wage = $3,800 (approx). Not so cheap now is it, particularly when you would be are earning the average Russian salary.
To be honest, Nekrasovka is the last station on Line 15 of Moscow metro. It is like to live on Eastchester Street in NY. Anyway, the apartment is good and brand new.
The washroom is not small, but the place for the toilet is pretty cramped. Putting the washing machine there is weird (It is not an easy place to put clothes in and out) Also easy to spilled by water. The rest is fine. But the price is not cheap.
I love the the micro district concept in Russia where you have all necessities including schools within a 15 minute walk. I wish this concept was applied here in the US. I imagine the zoning laws here impede this from happening. It’s a shame because most Americans rely on cars which are very costly to buy and to run and to insure.
There great. And very warm. The one in our apartment is a part of the regular central heating for the building. So it keeps the bathroom nice and warm, and helps to warm and dry towels.
Nice, new apartment. Very small though. Would be interested to see some 2 room apartments that cost a little more with a seperate bedroom and living area. 28 square meters is quite small, closer to the size of a hotel room than an apartment. I could live there but probably only short term for a couple months. Enjoyed the video.
There was a Magnit supermarket in the same building. There was one more in the building across from the street. There was a bus stop about 7 minutes walk from the building door. Or you can walk to the Metro, about 15 minutes.
I live in Brisbane and for a 'bare bones' apartment (no furniture, TV, fridge, washing machine, etc,) you'd probably be paying double that price for something a bit bigger, so it's good economical living for one or two people who don't need a lot of space. Was there somewhere to hang washing?

Russian apartments are mostly warm for winters in Russia,so you don't have to have a bathtub to warm up.
Yes I could definitely live there. Nice size and layout. Do they include utilities in these new apartments
The tenant would be responsible only for water usage and electricity. Both are on meters. About $25 per month for both.
Beautiful apt but too modern for me! I like the older units I've seen. Also not a fan of insipid paint colors in the home. But you did a great job of showing it, I always enjoy looking at real estate with you!
Thank you for sharing it’s really nice and new who would not want to live there ❤
Based on the comments, lots of people.
Nice apartment, I would rent that out
It really was a nice place. Fully furnished as well remember.
Those radiators look kinda small,,but I guess the walls are well insulated.
Have you seen Russian TV? Solovyov and Simonyan?
I lived in Bremen as a student, and this was what I paid for a single room in a commercial hostel. Berlin was nearly double in price. I didnt like the sudden fluctuations in utility prices.
In Sydney, similar would be $500 A WEEK! And you have to hunt for one in this condition. Most of the students settle with the shared house or apartment and still have to pay $500 or more /depending the location, size, etc/ a week
Sharp looking 👍
I think so too.
Nice finish but feels claustrophobic.
I could live there. Not sure together with my wife though. But I lived and worked on cruise ships for many years. So i am used to smaller living spaces.
28 meters is only around 310 sq ft so it's pretty small even for a studio apartment. But European housing are all small by comparison to what we are used to
This build does have other apartments upto 80 square meters. From studio sized to 3 rooms.
It's a good looking apartment. I'd rather have a laundry room in the common area with multiple washers and dryers shared by the building rather than squeezing a tiny washing machine into the apartment though. I guess that would just depend on what you are used to.
Ottimo.
Greetings Russel . Beautiful Apartment .nice Area. Thank you so much for your channel. It has opened my eyes to day to day life in Russia.
Blessings and merry christmas. From :south Africa. 😊😊😊 i am a new suscriber.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Moscow is missing out though. We have no Mrs. Bals Chuckey.
I thought the apartment was really nicely done! Brand new, has in unit laundry and a dishwasher, nice balcony…and it’s almost half price compared to what I pay! Sounds like a deal to me! Only thing I’d worry about is the commute to work (depending). But overall I like it!
small but well appointed..price is reasonable at $695 canadian dollars. nice spot for one person but not two. thanks for the tour
Hello! If the bedroom sees to the east, south or west, you will definitely need curtains or rolettes on the windows to protect from sun shining! Without them it will be hard to sleep.
Sooo funny how our news talks about ALL the sanctions against Russian economy. "PA!"
Meanwhile here in Russia, its a bit of a different story.
9% inflation. 21% interest rate. Everyone envies great Russia. ‘’PA!”
Beautiful! Perfect for a single. 😊
I think it’s so practical and thoughtful to have a bike storage space in the building as well👍🏻
That is so clever with the washing machine below the sink.
For a couple or a single person is very nice
Interesting Russian Apartment! While the design seems practical, do you think the uniformity of these apartments might feel a bit monotonous over time? Would adding more diverse architectural styles improve livability?
Apartment blocks = uniformity. That's the very idea of apartment blocks. Looks good to me, btw... The level and quality of finishings I find the level and quality of the finishings quite outstanding. Would hate the washing machine underneath the sink, though...... It'll be on you how you decorate it to give it your touch....
It's really up to the owner of the apartment and how the renovate inside. This place is purely as a rental and for investment.
@@classics39 Don't understand why they don't have clothes dryers over there. They are a must have in USA.
Great video Russell .
.. I always notice each apartment has a washing machine but no dryer. How do tenants dry their clothes? 🧺 Thank you 👍❤️🎄
I live in the Czech Rep. Which may be the same case here.. )
Tože my letom na balkone. Zimoj ja naprimer v maleňkoj komnatke...🤷
@@sashaz1979 Daaa, verno!
However, size is.👍🏼
£382.00p! I would live there, it looks really smart.
Russia: Average monthly wage = $850. UK: Average monthly wage = $3,800 (approx). Not so cheap now is it, particularly when you would be are earning the average Russian salary.
@@DecievedREALITY999 But this is Moscow and the average salary is already 1500 dollars. All over Russia, you are correct.
Looks lovely
To be honest, Nekrasovka is the last station on Line 15 of Moscow metro. It is like to live on Eastchester Street in NY. Anyway, the apartment is good and brand new.
The washroom is not small, but the place for the toilet is pretty cramped. Putting the washing machine there is weird (It is not an easy place to put clothes in and out) Also easy to spilled by water. The rest is fine. But the price is not cheap.
In Europe majority of washing machines in the bathroom or the kitchen.
You can get Apartments in that region of that size for $200 per month, but they are old.
Beautiful and clean apartment v nice
A nice apartment, I could see myself living in such a place.
Russell for millions living in the West people will be struggling to make the rental payments to live in an apartment like that .
In Moscow, you have a lot of place to choose from. It's a matter of finding something within budget.
Just a sidenote, please do not show keys in the videos. It takes 5 minutes to make a duplicate from it.
Dumb comment
I love the the micro district concept in Russia where you have all necessities including schools within a 15 minute walk. I wish this concept was applied here in the US. I imagine the zoning laws here impede this from happening. It’s a shame because most Americans rely on cars which are very costly to buy and to run and to insure.
It's nice and clean with great view from balcony but I cannot live in something smaller than 60m2
I think it’s lovely 🤗
I could live in that apartment
I always noticed that Russian apartments have heated towel racks I could probably put my bath robe on there in the winter
There great. And very warm. The one in our apartment is a part of the regular central heating for the building. So it keeps the bathroom nice and warm, and helps to warm and dry towels.
A very nice apartment 👍 I would rent💯small but cosy
Nice, new apartment. Very small though. Would be interested to see some 2 room apartments that cost a little more with a seperate bedroom and living area. 28 square meters is quite small, closer to the size of a hotel room than an apartment. I could live there but probably only short term for a couple months. Enjoyed the video.
Where is the nearest full size grocery store ? On the Metro ? Is the Apt. near a Bus Stop ?
There was a Magnit supermarket in the same building. There was one more in the building across from the street. There was a bus stop about 7 minutes walk from the building door. Or you can walk to the Metro, about 15 minutes.
In Wellington, New Zealand...similar apartments cost $600 NZD per week!
How much does it cost to buy?
Is there any furniture or electronics in this apartment that is Russian made? I would really like to know
I live in Brisbane and for a 'bare bones' apartment (no furniture, TV, fridge, washing machine, etc,) you'd probably be paying double that price for something a bit bigger, so it's good economical living for one or two people who don't need a lot of space.
Was there somewhere to hang washing?
I pay $1,160.00 for just the rent for a 2 bedroom in Texas, USA. I envy the living costs in Russia, very good
Would you take us on a walk from the Apt. to the Metro......plz.
This place was 2 hours from where I live. I live on the opposite size of Moscow from this place.
