Fun fact: This did happen, but it didn't happen to Ray Kroc, it happened to the franchises that existed PRIOR to Kroc and the McDonald brothers working together.
For what it's worth, unlike what the movie suggests, Mac and Dick McDonald didn't care about what other restaurants did, they only cared about their restaurant. As long as they got their franchising fee, that's all that mattered.
Kroc on the other hand saw the issues and immediately made sure that every restaurant he opened had the same menu items, same prices and bought from the same vendor, which wa McDonald's itself. This helped make sure that there was consistency, the number one thing that most people look to when visiting a fast food place nowadays. That was the success.
Mac and Dick McDonald could run a restaurant, but absolutely knew nothing about running a company.

Filet-O-Fish was added to the menu in 1962 because of a Cincinnati franchisee Lou Goren (at his peak Goren would later owned 43 MCD's locations before selling all but two back to McDonalds) who had lots of catholics who still did not eat meat on Fridays and this lead to a decline in sales on that day. Kroc understood it was problem as lots of christian denominations did abstained on meat on Fridays and agreed but did not like the concept and favored something of his own design a hula burger so they had contest to see which would be sold and the Fliet o fish won becoming the first added menu item.

Uniformity is vital to building a recognizable business to attract consumers. People eat at McDonald's because they know what they are getting.
As far as "having his way" with the business, despite what is shown in the movie, Mac and Dick McDonald were very hands off and didn't know how to run a company. They sat back and collected a franchising fee while running their San Bernardino restaurant. Ray and the brothers pitched ideas to one another, and Ray was the one who had to write up contracts for every change since the brothers were absent minded. They never even trademarked their restaurant, which means Kroc could have technically stolen it if he wanted to, which he didn't.

Like take a pizza place that sells barbecue chicken, what take priority more the chicken or the pizza what take more time to prep and what should you focus on the most cause your trying to get food to the customer. It because of this he was upset they added more crap that the quality of the burger lesson, plus it also start to attract a crowed he did not want, an well you saw how the state of this mcdonald look just from the outside. Loud music, garbage everywhere, teen making it their personal hang out it the kind of stuff that brings bad business back then for people.

      No.
There were franchisees who did their own menu items, prices and bought from their own cheap vendors, but they all predate Ray Kroc's involvement.

He didn’t steal anything. He made the brothers millionaires and wanted to bring them along for the ride form the start and they kicked and screamed. One of the brothers years later, I can’t remember which one, was delighted with the deal and agreement. Regarding his wife, yep divorce happens in 50 percent of Americans homes. A lot of people made a lot of money because of Ray Kroc including the McDonald brothers

The only reason why you know that story is because Ray himself brings it up in his book Grinding It Out, where he says it was a bad idea in hindsight. He gives credit to every person who had a great idea for McDonald's, which is also why we know about Lou Groen and the Fillet O Fish.
