    hello Chris
Thank you very much for this video, I have been shooting to the left for more than a year, I felt like I was almost turning around. With these tips, to do the lateral movement and the exercise of the step and after the swing, incredible how the blows come out straight, a small fade, in just two days, very grateful and blessings, may the successes continue, greetings, Pedro

This is really useful. Thanks Chris. Pre and post having both of my hips replaced 10 years ago, I had to introduce a step through just to keep the pain as low as possible and still play half decent golf. 10 years later at 50 I will occasionally use this if my confidence is low and score is looking at being worse than my handicap. My father, who has had recently one hip replaced (needs the other one) was having trouble with his swing until I showed him this step move. Just to hear him say YES after hitting his first shot that went further and straighter still puts a smile on my face today. Love it!

Chris you have been a big part of helping me find my old swing again. Played golf for Clemson University but right after college i had a extremely bad wreck and had to learn to do all the fun stuff over again. It was beyond extremely frustrating knowing how i used to play golf to barely being able to shoot anywhere near what I used too. Improving at the great game of golf never stops but at least im finally back shooting in the high 70s again and enjoying myself on the golf course again. It's extremely appreciated. Thanks from one chris to another.

Chris, you read my mind!! Just a few days ago, I played 18 holes and had the worst "Iron Play" that I have had in quite sometime. After my round of golf, I started mentally analyzing what happened. And yes, exactly what you said, ..... hands too tight on the grip, then everything else tightens up, .... you become rigid and NOW you're just swatting at the golf ball with NO forward shaft lean because you haven't gotten your weight to the front foot!! Thanks for this video. I WILL ALSO START MY WARM UPS ON THE RANGE with the "Two Step Drill! And tell myself to RELAX and calm myself down. Keep up the great work. 😎⛹️‍♀️🤸‍♂️🚴‍♂️

ive been working on the transition to the downswing, its so hard for me because it is happening so fast. I think i'm going to try the pause at the top of the backswing

Chris I have a question for you.
    First a little about myself:
    29 handicapper
    3 years of playing golf
    Middle life crises age range:p
Typical miss on “good strikes” is left pull (very rarely do I have any curvature to my shots)
    PW 130
    7 160-170
    5 180-190
    5 hybrid 190-200
    3 wood 220-250
Driver N/A I had to stop using it, I’m worse now then when I first started.
I’m currently using the hinge/cock takeaway.
Golf swing goals: to be efficient and accurate
On to my question. I’ve been working on my swing, especially the takeaway and back swing. I feel like I do both reasonably well. What I don’t do well is the lateral shift like in the video. Before I saw this video I decided to experiment and place the ball further back in my stance (I was actually already doing this with my PW and wedges) and since doing that I now am not only hitting more consistently out of the middle of the face but my shots are going where I’m aiming.
I understand the point of the lateral shift but if my swing is balanced and centered, with good contact, and no flipping, what is wrong with this “fix”?
I struggle with the lateral shift and timing and it really shows up later in the round when I start getting tired. I know I can work on this movement (thanks to your drills) but it seems like an easier fix for amateurs that working on lateral shift.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks!

Hey, yeah this all makes perfect sense and to hit good golf shot things simply have to marry up, and sounds like you have found a way to do that.
If you find it more difficult to shift say 3-4 inches forward then yes you can simply move the ball by that amount back in the stance, so if have no issue at all advising you to continue with that

Ok thanks! I just wasn’t sure if it would hinder my game in future or was holding me back now.
We shall see if my “fix” is permanent or just another “I think I figured out my swing at the range moment”

Chris, I've started pointing my trail foot in in an attempt to stop me from getting too much weight to my trail side and getting stuck on the back foot. Any thoughts on this?

I think the feeling for me is to not actually worry about the hips and lower body but more of getting the left arm and elbow to get in front of my chest sooner in the downswing. I would keep my hands and arms high while trying to lead with my lower body and these bad things would happen. So really swing with more arms (not chest) in the downswing.

I really struggle with getting forwards (I played lots of cricket I was a back foot player which you can get away with and be quiet successful at cricket)

2:05 So a step drill, Sorry but,
nothing new just a long winded explanation.😅
I feel like I have somewhat done you an injustice, your other video on weight shift versus pressure shift is absolute gold 👌 now I
    understand what
you mean, much appreciated keep up the good work 😊😊

I think you should be a little more aware that golfers have different feels. One golfer may feel that the lead hip goes down another may feel that the trail hip has to be higher. To suggest this is a" long winded"step drill explanation is a disservice. Chris is one of the best you tube instructors going. He is aware that sometimes different people have different feels and his videos try and accommodate that. It is not all about you.
