Should have given a star for the performance and towing capability
I’m picking up my 2024 lunar rock with the trd offroad package tomorrow.. I already bought brand new take off trd pro wheel set for a killer deal on craigslist. Planning on removing that plastic piece under the bumper if possible and getting a small leveling kit to make it sit better. I don’t really off-road hard. Anything I do on the dirt is all fairly easy stuff most stock trucks can do if you go easy.
That’s going to be a good looking vehicle!
Factory tow hooks are used for more than off-road. Anywhere with snow will want them. It’s easy to get into deep snow or soft ground where you need help out. Nobody wants to crawl on the ground to attach around the axle.
Very true! Tow hooks should be a big deal to anyone!
It's a really half-assed attempt at "off road" and the hybrid battery takes up a ton of storage space.
the third row seats are over the hybrid battery and are not intended to be taken out
Why didn't you mention the solid read axle. Seems like a plus for off roading
That is a great point, defiantely a huge plus!
I think we're all awaiting anxiously at your solution to storage. I imagine y'all are pulling the third row with XO, but I'd love to see storage solutions leveraging the space with third row still in tact. I have some ideas for a modular design
We will have a video coming soon on what we did for this vehicle! Because we found out you are not actually able to remove the 3rd row...
@@CBIOFFROADFABwell, that's a bummer, but I need to keep my third row in tact, so I'm still excited! Guess that's the cost of being on the leading edge of development - you learn the hard questions first 😂
If you guys make a front and rear bumper it can help the ground clearance.
That's the plan!!
Can't wait for the build-out.
It's going to be awesome!!
🇺🇸 7/10. Looks the best vs comps. Thousands less than comps. .... need a Suburban size sequoia. The IForce hybrid turbo has no history. I'd get TRD pro.
I mean, its cooler than a minivan I guess. Doesnt feel like it was built for offroading like previous generations which is a huge miss by Toyota with the recent boom in overlanding/camping that has come since Covid
Nah it doesn’t have enough space to be consider in the category of a minivan… Big for no reason… Atlas, Ascent, telluride would kill this all day and not to mention the Kia carnival mini van with suv interior and exterior styling and massive cargo capabilities…
I would not even consider this vehicle. I love my Pro-4X. Can you do an update on your Pro-4X truck and upgrade’s please? Thank you very much.
Why are you comparing a mid size truck to a full size SUV?
@@mattgoeswheelin I have owned many Full size SUVs, but I don’t find this model worth the money or the effort to make it off road viable. When the video came out on the truck it was interesting and gave me ideas on how I would like to upgrade mine. I like the products used.
Yes more videos to come on the Pro-4x soon!
0:47 looks like Toyota has been taking inspiration from Land Cruisers in the UAE on that tire sizing...
like the shorter wheel base than the tundra ,the 3rd row kills it takes up to much room folded down, the self system cant bolt down a slide out fridge or my kit on top of the fold down 3rd row seats and a do like the solid rear axle
Ok, so a base model Sequoia with the TRD Off road package.. everyone I know who owns a Tacoma or 4 Runner do the same thing fulling knowing that it has "Limited" capabilities and will be modified for true off roading. Once aftermarket components really hit the market I think these trucks will be bad ass!! I'm also curious about the the 3rd row removal, I've heard that it has been made incredibly difficult to remove them. I would much prefer no 3rd row option.. as a factory build. But thats just me.
Yeah we are super excited to see how this build will turn out, the capabilities will take a big jump! We found out after the video that the 3rd row seats are actually not removable... big bummer!
Battery kills interior. Pro4x update please!
Personally I wouldn't buy a 60K+ suv and go rock climbing with it. Where I live there's some dirt trails to get to some choice fishing spots, that sequoia off road would fit the bill nicely as is.
You CAN take the 3rd row seats out?
We thought you could, but no you actually can't.
I have seen and read a lot that third row seats are NOT removable: source Mike Sweers. The seats are part of hybrid battery protection. Please either demonstrate removal of seats to maximize interior cargo capacity or revaluate interior storage with seats folded down.
We thought you originally could, but later found out after the video was shot that you can't.. Big bummer!
@@CBIOFFROADFAB I have looked at your build video, so sweet! I liked all the exterior mods. Guess the Sequoia just requires an overlander trailer since interior cargo is hurting! I would buy the TRD off road package and do the CBI upgrade in an instant! Seriously well done.
Vehicles have cabins.. Aircraft have cockpits😝
You cannot take the third row seats out.
😂 its a Limited trim, common man!
This is simply the vehicle we could get our hands on, however we also mentioned a few different times how we'd rather go with the limited because we could put 10k into it and make it a lot more capable that the TRD Pro stock.
Things got a triple chin
He sounds just like Ricky Carmichael
I think you will make this vehicle a lot more capable, but I think it is liable to have people that don't have a lot of 4x4 common sense trying to 4 wheel in places they have no business being with their level of experience. this is the type of vehicle preppies that hug books and think a coffee shop is a great experience buy.
You're literally knocking the vehicle when the off-road models have the features you're wanting 😂 the only thing it didn't have is tow hooks.... This is a terrible review. If you want off-roading... How about don't review the limited model 🤦🏽♂️
this channel needs a pro4x update.
