Seiko's LX line stands for LUX meaning light in latin and it is clear with the way it shines! Reflects like much like a diamond. This professional diver is tough with the spring drive movement. More resistant to shocks and temperature change a sturdy and proven movement.

BATMAN GMT LX REVIEW HERE: ruclips.net/video/lYkbuvohKew/видео.html -Falling
I was expecting a 10K price tag! Totally worth the price for what you get. I think the LX line is pure class
Magnificent watch! The fit and finish on this timepiece is superb. The titanium bracelet makes this watch feel almost weightless on the wrist! This watch ticks ALL the boxes. Homerun for Seiko!
I own this and I ware it more than my Rolex. Seiko Prospex LX is very underrated. My wrist is between 7 1/2''to 8''.
Picked up an snr049j1 shortly after it was released, easily my favorite watch. Love the case design and how it wears on my 6.5 in wrist. I was considering this model too, but the want for a gmt was much stronger, and that black and blue gradient looks amazing. This watch would have definitely checked off the green watch box if I went with this
I'm a big fan of Seiko but find it so frustrating that the best Seiko and GS divers are just too big. 40- 41mm with 47mm and female end links please Seiko 🙏
This is why the 62mas SPBs at 40.5mm are the nicest case dimensions and design on any Seiko diver IMO.
@@timemeasured9137
Yes I agree and imagine the spb case with a spring drive movement 🤯
@@simonwright6882 The 62MAS reissue SLA017 with the 8L55 was a good combo of proper sized case, and good movement.
@@simonwright6882 Wow! That would be absolute excellence and pure class!!!! Blow the Tudor BB58 and the rest of the competition out the water!!!!
For that, get the MM200 MarineMaster reduced
That is some brilliant GS level dials
I like all size watches. My two Seiko 5 pieces are quite tiny, and conversely my Prospex pieces are pretty colossal. I love em all, frankly. Just wish I could afford even a fraction of all of the watches I wanted. Sheesh
That is a great-looking watch, but it's even bigger than the SLA023, which I own. I can't wear the 023 as an everyday watch because of its size. This LX would even be more difficult for everyday wear and at this price, you want this to be a daily diver. Thanks for the good review.
Thanks for sharing! SLA023 is a fav!
So beautiful, wow! And, properly sized as well, for those who want it. I just bought the Black Series SPB255, but that LX line will be getting my money one of these days. Looks great on your wrist!
Like the watch, your camera work is first class
My only complaint on this design is I wish that the crown didn't stick out so far. Other than that, it's perfect.
Damn…really like the gliding second hand!
Marvellous dial & the finishing is stunning !!!
What a striking watch! Love the color. Such a shame that it has no crown guards.
Technicaly This is a grand seiko❤
One of my absolute favorites. Size, thickness, crown perfect for me.
Good choice!
Great video FT. Will you be reviewing the new Save The Ocean monster, SRPH75?
The very beginning of the intro song (just the first few notes) is sampled from Eric B. and Rakim-Juice (Know the Ledge). Also, I have this watch and 2 others in the LX series. Great watch. purchased mine new from an AD at a 25% discount. At $4,500, it was a no brainer.
Incorrect on the song but yeah $4500 is a no-brainer! Grats!
@@EscapementWatch Thx. Listen to the song, then tell me I'm wrong.
Its similar for sure
It might be subjective, but the length of the crown is a bit much, especially with no crown guards. Though at 6 grand, I wouldn't be taking this one diving. Unexpected things do happen, and it would be a shame if it got broken or lost.
I LOVE the big crown on this!
The diameter is fine, but the length is a bit much.
Yeah I see your point. Still awesome!
A really great and professionally delivered review. Seiko LX butting up against GS is a problem in my view, as there is not an obvious delineation. The way cars have evolved in recent years from 1 Series or A class through to the upper end 8 Series or S class cannot be applied to watches. There are so many traditional and new competitors out there that it is not a great surprise that the LX line is selling slowly.
I checked to see if the GS divers with spring drives have the new higher accuracy specs, but it looks like even they (GS) are the same as this (LX). ...my first thought is that Seiko does extensive testing and so wants to be very careful about putting new upgrades into dive watches, better to be more reliable if less accurate...maybe? I am keeping an eye out for a future Seiko spring drive diver with accuracy as high as the GS quartz: +/-4 seconds/year? That would be worth paying for...
9RA5 is +/-10s a month. This is +/-15s a month. But they still round up to 0.5s a day.
My spring drive has done +1s over the last 8 months. These are highly accurate movements.
wonderful editing ! clean and clear ❣️
Glad you liked it!!
I flipped it after less than 2 months, love it but too big, and my wrist is not small.
What a beauty!
I have one.... Ask any question
How much you buy??
@@universalsoldier6102 I paid just under $6k
@@ellmusic769 ❤❤❤❤💖💖💖💖
I worry about seikos this expensive and still misaligned, this is why I’ve never bought a seiko over $2k NZD
To me this is THE MOST striking Seiko Diver. Nicer bracelet and sytling than the MM300, better material for such beast dimensions.
My dream watch TBH. I bought the San Martin LX homage to see if I truly love the design and its a winner.
Couldn't agree more!
Take a look at the SLA059 too it’s amazing!
@@LAbigsnoopac That red patterned dial is something else! LOVE it.They should do this design on the LX
It should say Grand Seiko but it’s a beautiful watch
If this was 12mm thickness it'd be a hard buy
A damn fine watch!
Anyone find the crown digs into back of hand when wearing? Even skx does it to me
The crown does not dig into the back of the hand. Incredible watch. Must see in person.
@@davem.2788EXACTLY
My next watch, maybe
At close to $10k Canadian after GST, there are a lot of other watches I would consider before this one... I mean, like, a whole lot. The size alone would prevent me getting this model or the MM300 that I tried on recently.
These were super nice. The LXs were fantastic quality and this one was a real star. The reason I didn't buy was the length of the crown (I think something to do with 300m proofing the basic Spring Drive) and the Prospex 'X' which for me just cheapens the diver look too much at this price. That said, I went with the Skyline GMT. Don't let the size put you off - I like 36-42mm watches, but these wear really well. Chunky, but comfy!
My 500 dollar seiko Presage cocktail blue moon got a signed crown and a 6000 dollar wztch ain't got it. I really don't understand seiko sometimes. But for sure, I don't know how, but this watch will be on my wrist one day
Great watch but too big for me, would love it in 40-42mm. They seem to be moving the Spring Drive into other models which might start to devalue Grand Seiko
No it wont. Spring drive is Grand Seiko's mid tier movement. They have the high beats 36,000 and the new Dual impulse escapement as their top tier along with highest top tier constant force tourbillon.
And remember the first spring drive was in a seiko not a grand seiko.
@@EscapementWatch not so sure. Ah yes the Turbillon, absolutely stunning in every way, sadly above my pay grade 😞
The tourby I hear is all spoken for day of release anyways.
Those LX watches are as sports watch better than grand seiko offerings
I second the thought from Simon Wright. This watch is perfect in all levels but the size. This tick chunky boy should go to gym. The Seiko should make parallel the tool and desk dive versions. The 15 something mm thickness is to much. 40-41 mm should do the trick and down size it to max 12.5mm even if the watch looses 100m WR should be perfect trade off. Come one who's gonna treat that beauty as a tool watch.
Being titanium its very light
I just love it!
I have a 7.25 wrist and this bad boy is just a bit too big for me to consider it. Nice looking though.
Not really my brother has 7.5 inch and I own two models not as thick but close and my wrist is only around 7 inch give it take. Seiko designs lugs to lug somehow to fit a lot of wrists only thing is the thickness but somehow my Tudor’s which I sold on paper are 41mm but bigger than 44.5mm LX do don’t be scared of those dimensions they wear smaller than actual size.
Did the hour hand move backward at 6:43?
wow it did! Didn't notice that while filming. Interesting!
@@EscapementWatch yes, would be interesting to know if this is something particular to the Spring-drive movements!
Amazing video as always by the way! Keep treating us to such cool pieces and videography! 👏🏻
I'll have to sell my motorcycle and my SPB253J1 to own one.
Personally, I think its too big for you and me. Why have such a lug of a watch? I can see it being ok on an 8" wrist guy.
What is the story with reducing lume on seiko watches? Can you research this? I am utterly baffled (e.g. Sumo2nd gen with great lume -> 3rd gen with tiny quick fade garbage pips) as to why anyone would deliberately make lume worse... I don't understand. I am honestly very confused by this. Is the only way to get an actual lumed "seiko" to buy an addiesdivewatches or a steeldive replica?? Have you seen lumewars on JustOneMoreWatch?
No I haven't seen lume wars video. The reason is probably cost and streamlined dial production. They think their lume is good enough even when it is thinly applied as it is now on most Seiko's except the high end.
excellent diver
Imagine someone wrapping this around their knuckles and punching you.
Used to own this one, Too Big, Thickness is over the top.
Too big... 🙈, with small wrist of 6.5 inch
I have the SNR051 and have a 6.5 inch wrist. They wear compact.
But it's not iso...
Ooohh... that's NICEE 😍
sheesh that looks a lot thicker than 14.8
Unlike the submariner it's too thick !!
It looks slightly to the right on the bezel.
I wish it was thicker.
That's what she said
I love Seiko but not for $9.000
Sumo hulk on steroids. I would modd my second sumo like this. Dial change and wallah. You would never know meme. Anyone know where to get this dial pm me.😂
The GS divers are too boring looking. If you around the ocean or water a lot and want good WR and a tool look, this is much better for a lux diver.
Immediately seeing Yes, this ia better than Rolex sh1t. Tidal wave, come
Great specs but way too large and as tall as a skyscraper on the average wrist. More 'Bulk' than Hulk. $6000 USD a no no for me for a Seiko I'm afraid. I'd go for a better more illustrious diver from Omega or Tudor at that price.
Hhhh i owned some Tudor divers thick as it gets lug to lug is huge and tudor is noway near the quality of LX and SLA offerings from seiko and i also own omega divers so don't put the seiko watches down as very expensive
Pins & collars? What a joke.
Sneaky, haha. Yeah, if you'd said 6K in the first minute, I would have jumped.
hahahha
3-4K on used market. don't pay retail.
I'd buy it, but that power reserve indicator ... ugh.
Too tall
Price is way too high.
Too big. Rolex is better
SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS WITH PINS AND COLLARS BRACELET!!!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?????
To big to tall I'll pass, my new sub ND is perfect.
Ummmm. No
6K$ for a watch???? I never understood the concept of spending such money on a timepiece. Jewelry and quality of design Ok, but if you have that amount of money to put into a time keeping device to wear on your wrist, then you should really examine your life and what you are doing in the time you are on earth.
Same old watches in new colors. 😴
Nope
BS
Hi, I've had such a tool for a year. It's a very cool thing. I shake my hand!🫡🔥🤝
