    Your book helped change my life from prediabetic to normal. But people need to know this is lifestyle change when you’re at risk for diabeties. My mom & grandmother died early before 60. My older brother & younger brother both on insulin, severe complications from diabetes type 2. My younger bro now lives with me and severely disabled with poor eating habits, unable to walk & nearly 300 lbs. i “rescued” him from a nursing home which managed everything for him. With meds he was always high bp tonsof meds and 400+ fasting glucose.
    I started giving my brother foods based on your book. After a year of just cutting out the junk food & soda, processed foods - back to whole foods - he lost nearly 100 lbs. & lowered insulin to 8 units a day no pills. So much other info but this works thank uou thank you! My brother’s doc is astonished by brother’s improvements. Including cholesterol and bp improvements!

    Day 3 for me here following your guidelines, feeling SO MUCH BETTER!!! I've lived whole food plant based, even all raw at times, for 32 years, but haven't stuck with it in the last 10 years or so. Hence I ate and drank my way into pretty intense insulin resistance/pre-diabetes. It took that for me to really really get it-LOW fat, high carb, WHOLE plant foods with lots of fresh raw fruit and veg is the way to eat, along with smart exercise, taking on stress and healthy sleep hygiene. Yep, no way around it. Acceptance is the hardest part generating the self discipline to daily practice healthy choices and actions, after that the results propel us to stay that way. Blessings!

    I am not diabetic but it runs in my family so I am buying your book and giving it a go. I need to be a fit vegan again.
    I love that the dietary scientists who have discovered the WFPB diet all seem to agree on mostly everything. Their differences seem minor and they seem open to discussion.

    Thank you!! I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s six years ago and all doctors and integrated doctors professional doctors all told me I have to just live with it there’s nothing I can do. My health is declining. I’ve lost in tremendous amount of weight. I’m very worried at this time I have to say I’ve always eaten very well. I’ve always exorcised. I’ve always taking care of myself! I eat a significant amount of fruits and vegetables, and don’t understand why my health is declining. I would like to connect with you for some guidance/insight. Please reply at your convenience, I look forward to hearing from you.

      Meat does not cause weight gain however sugar and starches as carbohydrates do. Ultra processed foods are the culprits.

    I was diagnosed with LADA after being rushed to the emergency room with DKA… then I started honeymooning and I’m much more stable now and only taking long acting insulin in the mornings.
    My question is if I do a whole food plant based diet can I reverse the type one since I am still honeymooning?

    Did you say “certified diabetes coach”, or something to that effect? Is there such a thing, an actual certification? Cause I meet people all the time, with diabetes for years and decades, and they don’t know a darn thing ABOUT diabetes! And I school them…and I don’t even have diabetes! I just met a lady today who’s had diabetes since 2004 😨, and the only dietary intervention she could talk about was switching from white bread to wheat, on her roast beef sandwich. 🤦🏽‍♂️

    Great information Cyrus! I wonder if you can comment on this: most carnivores/keto folks state they never plan to go back to eating carbs. And there are communities on YT that have done just that; no carbs. They state they have great A1Cs, like in the high fours, low fives. They also state they are no longer insulin resistant. Any explanations? Thank you!

    • @catsrus2890
      @catsrus2890 6 месяцев назад

      A lot of them are lying and cheating, have you considered that? Rick Rodriguez, the supposed "40-year Carnivore"...has stated in videos that he eats other things and yet most of the time when he's commenting on Lives he's pretending like he's full Carnivore. I heard Frank Tufano say on a video that you can tell the true Carnivores, they're the ones that are severely gaunt with the true loss of fat, like Jordan Peterson. Then you have someone like Dr Ken Berry who they've shown eating vegetables and even desserts in videos, he's definitely not full Carnivore either. Dr Anthony Chaffee also looks like he's definitely taking something to maintain the muscle mass when he hardly ever exercises. Also, when you watch most of the Carnivore influencer channels, they frequently talk about cheating as do many of the people in the comments too. Just a thought.

    This knowledge needs to be shared, but this content includes far too much marketing of your (life saving) course.. It might annoy people who aren't yet aware about this consept of IR reversal. So, in the upcoming videos please consider marketing only at the end. Thank you!

    • @MasteringDiabetes

      In simple terms, the principal cause of insulin resistance is excess dietary fat. Mastering Diabetes has strict guidelines for scientific references in our videos and articles. We rely on peer-reviewed studies, academic research institutions, governmental organizations, and reputable medical organizations. We do our best to avoid using non evidence-based references in all articles. Send us a DM and we can link you to the science.

    We should understand that because we have different physiology, not everything you are preaching here works for everybody. But rather for certain individuals in our human population. Please don't make it seem as if your success applies across the board.
