Hi Faith! God brought me to your channel on Dec 30 and I have since binge watched and ordered some Bible journaling supplies! This is my first year using a commentary and I’ve already learned so much! I have decided to read my Bible chapter first an then read what the commentary says. I have found that sometimes things I was inspired by just from the Word are further explained, or there is something else entirely that I learn. It has been a much slower process and I’m already “behind,” but I am just going to let it flow at this point. As long as I am faithfully studying and listening to His Spirit, God will continue to bless! Thank you for all you do! ~ Grace

I loved everything you said. My favorite being don't treat Quiet Time like a hobby. I would like to add on to what you said, yes, every Quiet Time is going to be different each day and that's okay. Sometimes it is 15 min, others and hour and a half. And don't feel pressured to make your quiet times Instagram worthy. I don't mean you can never have a candle or twinkle lights out for aesthetic or to make you feel cozy. But if it doesn't happen naturally, don't force it. I live in an apartment building and somedays it is nice and quiet and bible study is a breeze. Other times neighhors are making too much noise and it is a struggle. I hope you are doing well Faith!
Ok, I thought the plan you made would be good, but I didn't realize how good! There are so many new insights and connections popping into my mind as I read Acts along with Genesis! I'm already on day 13 of the plan! I'm even... Dare I say... Excited to read through Leviticus and Numbers now! 🎉

I know this is not what the video was about but I heard about some very promising research on the brain that stated that walking at least 10 minutes a day will stave off dementia and also that having really good balance and doing balance exercises daily stimulates parts of your brain that help prevent it as well

I use sticky notes 📝 a lot; if I'm away from home, jotting down a scripture that I hear when listening to an audio bible. I will put them in my journal when I get home. I like your idea of putting it in your bible with the scripture or verse that needs a deeper look. Great 👍 idea.
So I spend 1 hour per day reading Gods word and praying but I also jump between commentaries and my Bible during my reading and I write questions, notes and thoughts. Then while I work I will listen to sermons on what I have read. Sometimes doing that answers my earlier questions and sometimes it brings more. I keep a little notebook with me as I listen to jot down quick notes, questions and answers that I can then go back to my Bible and compare and add to my notes.
If alzhheimer's runs through your family, it's probably a generational curse. They're not that hard to break, go to God in prayer and repent for any sin that may have caused the curse, renounce and reject the curse, renounce your earthly family bloodline and claim the pure and perfect bloodline of Jesus as your own. Do this until you have God's peace about it. Other than that, very helpful! Been struggling with how to use commentaries, and I used to put all my notes on sticky notes into my nice archeology bible, but I saw the binding was getting weak. Limiting it to questions should be doable though!
Oh my, I still use my Precious Moments Pink Bible from the 87. The binding was hanging by a thread, so I had it rebound. I still love it, it is my favorite bible. I have another bible that is ESV and I like it, but my Precious Moments is my go to❤
I’ve had the same bible for 5 years, it’s a testament to my growth BUT now that I want to try a different method of study (color coding system) I feel like it’s time for a new one. Thoughts? Thanks
I have memories of my Precious Moments Bible. I took it to Glorieta, and when I got saved there, bought a new Bible there. But in the pages of that Precious Moments Bible was an orange sticky note with all of Mercy Me's autographs on it... and I lost that post it note...

It is so tempting to not buy a bible. All the publishing companies are always coming out with beautiful bibles. It has been a journey for me to see where my faith was, and where it is going…all in one place.
This is a great question, I have gotten a couple emails about it and its made me realize I wasn't clear- I was trying to say that they will come up in my videos all throughout the year because it's what I am reading and studying! So, for example, I just finished Deut. and in last week's video (ruclips.net/video/-Jw27KLDr30/видео.html) I share a big tip on understanding it better! Or like, when I finished Genesis, I made a video on how to read it because there was SO MUCH I learned. So it's just my normal content here on my channel, but it's all influenced and shaped by the bible reading plan! Hope that makes better sense!
Hi I am new to your chanel. I feel literally afraid (" you can do it because is a bible no no" ) to write, highlight, decorate, put a comment, underline in the pages of the bible. I see people does it and there are bible for journaling. I want to buy one for that go to the store, but I never get to the registered. I put the bible journaling back in the shelf. I would like too but I do not dare buy a bible to write on it. Also I can not get over/pass the Reina Valera version from 1960's. Any couceling would be appreciated.
Sarah, be encouraged that from the very beginning people have took notes in the scriptures. Even ancient scrolls have notes in the margins, from the copyists' thoughts, illustrations, etc. This idea that it is a "no no" is a modern ideal. We tend to like to make up rules to add to God's law, but God desires for us to have hearts that delight in His Word, not hearts that are afraid of enjoying His Word! Hope that's an encouragement to you!
