    this is the 1st time I watch the review from you guys, I like the right mix of information and experience sharing, rather than just hard selling of the rc products. good work and please keep it up! =)

    What an awesome plane. I've never heard an edf sound so good. This plane is a head turner for sure. I've steered away from edf's, for all the reasons you stated. But I think this plane could be the one. I liked how you guys do your reviews, keep it up! Happy Fourth!🇺🇸

    Great review guys! Just have a few comments for you to consider ! First; this is a pretty accurate representation of the real fighter aircraft, and as such, the flight performance is just about perfect! these jets were woe fully under powered and took for ever to build up enough air speed to be able to take off and to climb out! It was also very critical to maintain enough energy during flight to avoid stalling! Al in all, I don't think you guys are giving enough credit to the true scale representation of this very nice air plane! These were not sky burners like post 1970's fighters! FYI, I have been flying the F-15 ECHO now for 14 years and am also qualified in the F-16! This hobby has really seen improvements in cost and performance, as well as scale fidelity! We have some amazing machines available to us that we could only have dreamed of a few years ago! Its a chance for me at least to experience fighter air craft that I am trained to kill as well as a chance to fly air craft that are no longer flying! Still waiting for a good scale version of my much beloved F-4 GHOST that I was assigned to at the beginning of my fighter flying days!!!!

    Happy July 4th guys last week I obtained the Freewing Super Scorpion Jet 80mm w/ retracts installed from Motion rc, I put just about everthing together except putting a receiver in it so far. Have several spectrum receivers but was thinking about the AS3x giro receiver for it. Haven't seen many videos on it yet. I like your guys take on planes and hope to see one from ya!!!

    WOW, indeed a great airplane! Finally a jet of "good size" and the sound, we agree is awesome.

    did you guys do a review on the A6 intruder yet?

    So do you think it was the brand of edf that produced the great sound, the number of blades or the inlet/exhaust shapes/diameter?
    Is this STILL the best sounding edf on the market?
    Cheers!

    Hey guys!!! Great review as always...love your stuff!!
    Could you please help me with the CG on this one. Do you have it set like Mike with Motion Rc, right against the stock esc location??? Cause i set mine to that and its still pretty nose heavy. Thanks again!!! Crasy Flyer!!!

    • @2BrothersHobby
      @2BrothersHobby  9 лет назад

      crasy flyer We set ours based on the manual's recommendation. You'll see a drawing with the CG mark depicted on the bottom of the fuse. I transferred this location to the top of the wing and use two fingers with the plane inverted to verify the best placement. We balance just slightly forward, almost dead on the mark in the manual. We use different batteries of varying weights so we have several battery marks in the fuse based on where they balanced best. None of them are tight against the ESC. All are slightly forward.

    Well definitely not a foamy but a full fledged scale foam airplane. Nice looking and flies well. To me a foamy is anything less than scale, no retracts or other scale details and a 65mm edf or less. Also foamies are of the profile type when it comes to prop planes. Back in the day they didn't call Byron's Originals foamies. As you can tell I'm not a fan of calling a great looking foam aircraft a foamy, but a full fledged model aircraft that uses foam as a building material. We are looking at a paradigm shift and need to accept the new technology. Either that, or we come up with a new competition designed around just these foam planes that takes into account the flying abilities and any mods that the pilot may have done. 40+ years in the hobby and look outside the box. Any thoughts? AMA #1816 Contest Director Freewing 90mm Thunderbird F-16 in the works.

      +Timothy Toutant All foamies are foamies lol..
      Nothing wrong with having a scale or scale looking foamie and still calling it a foamie?
      It used to be a little negatively charged that word, because the old guys didn`t like them because they "aren`t real hobby planes".
      WELL..
      If you cut the foam yourself and make spars/ribs/etc (if the construction requires it), and if you BUILD the plane yourself, it IS a true hobby model, regardless of what it`s made of.
      I remember equal amounts of "hatespeech" against ALL RTF`s and even ARTF`s late 90`s and well into the 2000`s..
      I can agree to a certain degree that you`re not the same craftsman if you buy something RTF and just throw it in the air, BUT, that does not mean anyone with an RTF is not a good PILOT, and for most, FLYING is the hobby, not building, flying, crashing, repairing etc..
      But calling a foam plane foamie, is just something I will always do.
      I don`t see it as a negative name :)
      It would be kinda funny if the foam flyers started calling the balsa planes "woodies" or something :p
      Just sayin`..
      Profile planes are profile planes, balsa is balsa, foam is foam, and I love them all, scale or not, big engine, tiny motor, NO engine/motor, rotors, wings, and other flying things Like just an engine on a stick with rudders!
      Flying skateboard?

      @@afrog2666 Very well said! And for me, the "craftsman" aspect comes out when deciding my Avanti jet looks like a Russian trainer underneath the ugly yellow checkerboard- so I airbrush it cammo, add guns, pitot tube, pilots, etc and I love it all the more seeing that thing fly fast down the runway!

    Now I heard ya say in the first half of this review that a lot that ya test don't even make your review. I've been wanting the new freewing f22 4s capable version. Is this something I should stear away from????

    Wish I was skilled enough to fly this baby, maybe someday. BTW, Jolly Roger, not Jolley. Thanks guys.

    • @pshkong
      @pshkong 9 лет назад +1

      Jolley is correct in this case. This is the plane of Capt. Clifford Jolley, the ace of 4th FW 335 FS. He has 7 aerial victories.

      +hubinsc i used to think the same, had a freewing su35 hanging on my wall for ever..... when i finally got encouraged enough to fly it...... it was the easiest plane i have ever flown, hardest part is taking off (if on grass) fly's like a train!
      tip: Use 30-40% expo and even a skittish plane will become tame.
