Here is a CG test with the « sit method » (it gives a 190mm CG)!
The wind was blowing quite strong for a light plane like this F-86 and my touch’n’go were very bad…you’ll see 😂🙈

Wing & length 1200mm 1.9kg empty and 2.65 kg (HRB5000), 2.6 kg (Admiral 5000), 2.57 kg (RT 4400 70C), 2.48 kg (HRB4000)!
Metal 80mm EDF, 9 composite blades, inrunner motor 3658-1920kv (3,4kg thrust) with ESC 100A, BEC 5A, Max power 2000W
CG 170 to 180mm (mine 190mm) with the sit Method: put battery in place with gear down, si the plane on tail, attach canopy, slightly touch nose with finger, if plane easily rotates down to nose wheel, she’s spot on, call it the sit test!

-Rates: Low (book’s low) / Mid (book’s low) / High (book’s high):
Ailerons 10/15/20mm
Elevator 18/20/24mm
Rudder 10/16/22mm
Flaps 25/40mm 3% up elevator compensation (checked in 4th flight)
3min flight with Heavy Duty 4000 (682gr) 3.90V 🥰
3min30 flight with Admiral 5000 (705gr) 3.85V
4min30 with HRB5000 (745gr) 3.83V

Nice demo! Yes no flaps in that wind is much better, this jet is a great all around performer, I like the Jolly Roger scheme, Cliff Jolly is was a rather famous pilot here in the states, well done my friend ✌️👊

Can you knife edge this F86? Does it do any high alpha?
I don’t have this F-86 anymore and I didn’t try knife edge neither high Alpha, I’m sorry mate 😏
What lipo you like best?
With 80mm EDF : Turnigy HD 4000mah 60C, CNHL 4000mah 70C and HRB 4000mah 60C

@@chrisscotty4518 you have to keep in mind that 80mm flies better with 4000mah powerful like Heavy duty or CNHL or HRB instead of heavier 5000mah 😇

to be honest that way for checking CG comes out very tail heavy according to the manual.od rather be on the nose heavy side instead myself.
If you like it like that so keep it nose heavy but at 190mm she’s just neutral 👍🏻🤩
And keep in mind my friend that books’ CG are always nose heavy to be safer for beginner pilots 😉
@@ArthurRC i totally believe that plus on jets when you set the weight back it makes it much easier to high alpha land them on a faster approaching jet.
Yes that’s what we want 🤩 high alpha and wheelie landings
