Good looking plane, looks like a decent amount of flight time on this one too. Freewing has really stepped up their game, and I think they want to own the EDF market. Took a beating too. Great camera work Mike.
looks like a lovely jet, and looking forward to buying one, been looking for a nice ducted fan jet 6ch, looked good, fast, and overall flied as if on rails. Everyone seems to recommend it. So this looks like the perfect jet for me.
I was going to ask about the bounce but I just read the answer. LOL I fly EVERYTHING in high rate. I raced 1/8 scale nitro buggy for 10 years and learned to never limit travel on anything. I've found that it applies to flying as well. I've been in a few crashes that didn't destroy the plane however, if I was using low rates it would have been a total loss. I do use expo on most control surfaces to get rid of the twitch but I never limit control surfaces.
I want it to be able to go vertical. The take off is long and tedious with constant correction due to extremely loose landing gear. Would like to get shorter take off space. thanks for the fast response. I appreciate your help. I've been buying from you guy's and plan on many more purchases.
I already did the calibration on the esc and I'm using the Admiral 5000mah battery. The batteries are fine. What can I do to get more thrust? Will a different motor help?
Yeah, I watched the whole thing. I was really nervous because the plane was really fast. Like a marsupial. Maybe it was the marsupial affect making the flights seem longer. When you are scared, 5 minutes seems like an hour.
Is there another option out there? I see one site selling one with a 3658 1857kv motor 12 blade and 100 A. Are ther 3 versions?. This one, the 1857 one and the HP one??
This is surely my next edf, I have the a-6,and im adding this to my hangar. To that last comment, you have to remember that this is foam, cant put a real engine in a foam fuse.
On your bouncing landing, which I did the same on my maiden, you said that you should use high rates. Please tell me why you would do that? Wouldn't that make you over correct? Or do you think that you need more throw to correct the situation? Thx for the explanation. SJ
+Sheriff John Hey buddy, good question. Why I said I should have been in high rate is because I ran out of elevator authority and airspeed. If I were coming in hot it wouldn't have been an issue, however going too slow eventually ends up badly no matter what throw you have. With full flaps and little elevator authority I was asking for it. Regards, Ryan
Freewing should really make a Mig-15. You dont see alot of good ones on the market. They either have over sized intakes. lack of power. and a serious lack of scale features. If Freewing can make a Mig-15 with robust scale features with dual functioning rudder. cockpit details. and good power. Alot of pilots would be drooling to have one. It would be a great set with the 80mm Sabre. i ended up with a sabre and now i want a mig-15 haha
I hope Freewing is reading this post. LOL I would be in line waiting for it. Both planes are the fighters of their day. As for the Mig, it just couldn't keep up with the F-86. Crossing fingers. LOL
No, this is from back when it was released. We are in the process of trying to update all the videos for the products that have been updated. Hope to have in the next few weeks.
I madiened the F86 over the weekend. It flies like it lacks power. I have the end points for throttle set right. What can I do to get more thrust to get it to go vertical? Motor, battery, esc?
Is there another option out there? I see one site selling one with a 3658 1857kv motor 12 blade and 100 A. Are ther 3 versions. This one, the 1857 one and the HP one??
just a thought and a question to. why dose a JET need to run on a battery? to me when i hear that fan fly by its not a jet. my thoughts are if its going to be a rc jet of any kind then i think it needs to use a rc jet engine. but thats just me
Pretty sure you CAN build a jet-engined plane, but they cost thousands of dollars versus a few hundred for this model. But hey, if you can spare the cash, have at it.
Ducted fan definitely operates on the same principles as as a real jet. Amazingly, flight characteristics for both are similar too - ground take offs take more runway, more energy consumption than a prop, lower torque than a prop but higher top end speed. The only difference is the expensive powerplant a turbine requires. This f86 sounds more realistic than most ducted fans in the market though. Its just incredible.
+Greg Heckert It's on the site when you look at the ARF, click upgrades, scroll down to the 12 blade fan for inrunners and click more info. It will open up and shows you the link and item number for the fan, shroud and motor. Make sure you have the proper esc if the stock one isn't enough.
Hello, the first flight was flown with the 4500 6s 40 c battery. I soldered ec5s to them. The second flight was with the 4000 6s 60c batts that come stock with ec5s. Second flight begins around 6:30 minutes through the video.
Mine was a complete slug from the get go! so i re calibrated the throttle control which didnt seem to make any difference either. All the Retracts pulled out of the pockets including the nose wheel which blew out 2 huge chunks of foam in the process, i got a complete piece of crap jet from Freewing and Motion Rc wasn not impressed at all. oh also the main gear suspension struts some how were frozen and locked in place too! What a Turd Product.
This model is one of the most highly regarded Freewing models of all time. Thousands and thousands sold and thousands of thousands of happy customers. I have a feeling you made a pilot error, and/or don't know know what you are doing and now just want to troll our RUclips page. Good luck with that.
@@MotionRC And i know ive herd nothing but positive feedback on that Jet which is why im so upset i ended up with a Lemon One. Not Trolling at all so please stop the accusations!
@@looneytunes47 You came on strong, so I retorted strong. To rip all the gears out your probably landing hot and I can link 100's of RUclips videos of the F-86 whipping through sky especially on the new inrunner which it comes with for the past 2 years so she's not slow by any means.
@@MotionRC my landings were not near hard enough to peel off the retracts it was not on grass either was the Geo Mat Surface which does create much drag at all. i have the upgraded high performance inrunner motor installed now and yeah its at least 50% percent stronger than the stock set up! i really did get a dude jet though with all the problems ive put up with this thing and thats a fact brother!
@@looneytunes47 Well, we'll never know the full details and what you should have done, when you first noticed an issue, was to contact our customer service team and they could have helped in one way or another. Again, just type Freewing F-86 into RUclips and you can watch 1000's of videos of this model performing beautifully, landing easily and pleasing RC pilots the world over.
Man, those 12 blades sound like a real jet engine!!
if its the high performance version? which i believe it is then its a 9 blade fan unit with a 1920 kv inrunner motor
@@looneytunes47 its not the high performance version this video is 7 years old lol
F 86 Sabres were the back bone of Pakistan air force in 50 60's era
OMG.....that plane is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
love the way it spools down when you hit the deck.. and then take off again. great job.
Great F86 Model and very good size. Thanks for the super Video!
El F 86, el héroe de Corea.
This may be your best video yet. Beautiful day and beautiful plane.
Excellent piloting skills!!!!
Thanks a lot!

Thanks, Chip! Just letting you know this video shows two separate flights back to back.
Wow...nice camera and flying....well done boys!!
This was the first plane i ever flew. this big f86 sabre has such good manners it actually let me get away with it...also i had a good 6 axis gyro.

It's a marvelous flying machine. For me its like the Mustang of jets. Soon enough you'll end up owning one one way or the other..LOL
+Motion RC, so true... looking at my first mig-15 and f-86 purchase lol...
Advice of someone with dozens of these planes.. this f86 is fking awesome!!!
so awesome...wish I could afford the batteries for this thing

I like it when my wife vacuums. Because it sounds like an EDF.
I like this edf cause it screams like your wife
That sound! SOOOOPER!
How much flying time do you get with a single 4000mah 6S?
H8 the music. Wish we could just listen to the edf
We have plenty of flight videos of the F-86 on the channel.
I thought the whole horizontal stabilizer moved up and down(instead of half of it) on the F-86F variants
When binding any of these jets to a dx-9 radio, should you put the throttle trim all the way down first, then bind it? Thats what I was told.
Basically, is there a HP upgrade for the plane? If not, what would you recommend to get more out of it?

Which one of this Jets do you prefer most
That's a tough question. Depends a little on where I'm flying and what the wind is doing. I like them both a lot. I do prefer the F-86 in a xwind.
Is this the high performance version with the inrunner setup ?

Try calibrating the esc, after that maybe the batteries aren't up to the task.
Also, sometimes a few flights will "break in" the motor.
wheres the CG on this type of jet?
Any help on making the plane faster?
You can go for the Inrunner motor setup if your not happy with stock power.

'Love the scale lift-off...
Too many r/c pilots on The 'Tube do a really annoying "snatch" up on take off. So amateurish.

Side note on these Chinese made rc planes.....They cost big dollars in Canada and I expect to get a quality well built unit for the price. China junk.
