  • Once in a while, a curious RC creation comes along that's worth a closer look. The Multiplex FunCub has all the right elements to suggest a great flying experience, but we had to take a closer look for ourselves. See if the FunCub can offer a flight experience that keeps it from getting bullied on the playground for those goofy looking tires...

@2BrothersHobby Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated. And yes I'm going Fun Cub, mainly because Im sick of indoor winter flying and floats on the snow sound like a ton of fun. Thanks again

Yep, we always use the SPC port if available on the Hitec receiver we're using. We prefer to avoid LVC, especially when testing new models. Love the feature! Hard to go back to the other brand radio systems without integrated main pack monitoring without needing additional hardware. We set our flight timer to count up and call it when we reach voltage threshold, perfect for testing.

@OTTOFLYS - Hey Otto, either platform flies extremely well. In fact, both are outstanding flyers. It really depends on what you want to do. If you're looking to fly 4 channel in all the conventional ways (with a cool drop hatch), go for the Sensei. If you want to try some STOLs, play around in the taller grass, or even slap on some floats, the FunCub is a great choice. The floats work great on snow, btw. The FunCub can be a little more advanced, but you shouldn't have a problem.

GREAT video guys. I have a question? I have half a dozen or so foamies that I fly at local indoor soccer field in the winter aswell as logging approx 3-400 hrs on a real flight sim and I also have a parkzone habu edf but its a bit much for me right now. I was thinking Sensei or FunCub??? I have a lot of grass fields that I can fly in/on and I have a good collection of 3s 2200mah batteries. I'm new but not brand new to the hobby, is the FunCub the the better bang for my buck?

    Hi Guys!
    Very good review.
Are you recommended this plane for a second model? I Have Bixler now and I thinking about buying Fun Cub.

I understand what your saying but I am already flying planes with ailerons and also CP helis...a buddy of mine has a super cub that he lets a few of use for a trainer, and to be honest I have bored holes in the sky with it. Personally its time to make the move to something more advanced, thats the maine reason i was checking out the fun cub. thankyou I do appreciate the help

@OTTOFLYS I would get a Super cub LP by Hobbyzone I myself as well as 12-15,people I know personally learned to fly on and ounce you are confident with it you can actually cut aileron's into the wing and ad a power 15 motor by E-Flite and you will than have a plane with parts that are easily obtainable at any hobby shop and honestly is more fun to fly than the fun cub
