I was thinking the same thing! Mick Ronson was one of the nicest people I've met and my late brother, Lloyd Watson, who opened for Bowie and Roxy Music at the Rainbow, London in 1972, said his musical knowledge was phenominal. A brilliant guitarist. David Bowie was lovely when we met him at the after-show party. Spoke very quietly and won our parents over with his charm; asking Dad if it was OK if he could kiss Mum, my cousin and myself. Mum, bless her, said after he'd moved on "A strange looking young man but impeccable manners". I can still see Mick's grin and wink when he overheard her!

Great performances. And I wasn't expecting Bowie to pray like that, it was touching. I'm not really that religious but I've grown up saying the Our Father, and now I'm feeling a bit emotional.

Bowie and Rono - one last time... RIP
Oh My Gosh, Deaky's bass lines on Heroes is on fire. Love you Deaky
quite simply the best version of Heroes ever. John Deacon is on fire, as is Mick Ronson. Sad that this was Ronno's last ever performance - was this also the last time John Deacon played with Queen?
Nope. The last appearance he made with Queen was during the making of no one but you back in '97. Sad. But I hope Deaky is very happy with his retirement wherever he is. I also admire Mick so much. He is so humble yet simply the best.
Great performances. And I wasn't expecting Bowie to pray like that, it was touching. I'm not really that religious but I've grown up saying the Our Father, and now I'm feeling a bit emotional.
veritaseros It's called The Lord's Prayer. I'm atheist and to be honest it kinda spoilt it bringing it into a musical tribute but I'm not one to be intolerant.
Ah, `round these parts we call it the Our Father. But yeah, the "real name" is the Lord's Prayer.
+Hellwyck Yeah. As another avowed atheist, I can just say . . . it was the early 90s, and BELIEVE ME, that could never happen now. We have made true progress in 25 years. Thank Xyrxxyz.
It's understandable though....after performing one of his greatest songs to such an adoring world spanning crowd...even Dave might get afflicted with a messianic tic....He obviously was never exposed to brainwashing religious indoctrination in his youth, which allowed him to follow his own spiritual path, without being exposed to that corrupted bloodsoaked horror story as a child....
He simply made hinself look like a dope , probably one of his coke relapses....A-men & HalleluJAH......🎅🏻☝🏻
Yeah, I found that really weird...
my fav musicians all together to pay tribute to my fav musician ever
Bowie was such a brilliant songwriter. The chord sequence in the chorus of "Dudes" is simply mind-blowing every time i hear it. Thanks, David so so many great songs. RIP
+Peter Baker The chords in All the Young Dudes is what attracted me to the song in the first place!
RIP Mick Ronson #Legend
Amazing John Deacon !!!!! *.*
RIP David...I miss you already. Thanks for the memories.

Bowie, Freddie, Ronno, Lou Reed, Trevor Bolder, Lemmy - up there, now, giving a concert in heaven.
Packed to the rafters, we can be sure. :-)
I don't believe in heaven, but there are times, like now, when I would dearly love to.
Goodbye Spaceboy - Thanks for everything.
+Andrew Mann ---- Marc Bolan, Brian Connolly, Joe Strummer, Rory Gallagher, Alex Harvey - too many to list sadly.......
I think Heaven is our memory. Bowie will be well remembered for his love songs already, his love traces and intentions
Liked the way Mick Ronson gets his guitar on good riffs.
I loved the way he had that little step and the way he held the guitar too.
I was at this concert it was fucking amazing, Bowie was one of the best there that night,x
There was a documentary about Mick Ronson on BBC radio2. He was dying of liver cancer at the time, and this was the last time he played live.
Freddie, Mick and David together in heaven having a good time :)
Bowie...what a phenomenon!
One of my favorite drummers , EVER! Roger Taylor!!!
WOW is all I can say to this beautiful song.
Reciting the Pater Noster on a rock concert stage in front of an audience of 80000 people: Bowie can.
@edlinpaolone3616 It's The Lord's Prayer
The intro to this song is the ring tone on my phone!
The BEST single of all time.
Seeing Mick Ronson play Heroes, love it
Ian Hunter is singing so much! Video maravilhoso!!
Understated and underrated the man on the blue Telecaster and old Glam Rocker, Mick Ronson
And now I've heard HEROES through, that too is played and sung with passion. How well Queen, Bowie and Ronson go together. . . Total respect.
Love Bowie! I still listen too him after all these years!
This is a great version. I wonder if people really appreciate how important Hunter, Ronson, and Ralphs were in 1973.
#Mick Ronson made the stars even greather.... That´s a real STAR.
