  • Most of the coffins manufactured in the uk today are made from veered chipboard in large quanties. This video is men't to give you an idear of how a traditional coffin is made.
3/4" solid mahogany with paneled sides and raised lid, incorparating solid brass furniture and lovingly lined with goosedown and best satin. The Timber is sourced from managed forests and of a fast growing variety to limit the impact it has on our enviroment.
With around 70% of funerals in London now being cremations few bereaved families require solid timber coffins. Nevertheless with so many traditional crafts being forgotten in favour of cheap mass production it would be a tradgedy to loose this craftmanship that has been associated with generations of independent family funeral directors. Leverton Bros carry out funerals in East London and Essex and are proud to offer traditional Funerals to the families we
serve. If you have any queries or wish to discuss a pre paid funeral plan, please write to us at info@levertonbros.co.uk.
Thank you for watching and we hope you enjoyed the video.
