Funny thing: Right at the beginning of this video I got a "sleep better" mattress commercial from purple :)
That better be comfortable, i dont want to bother waking up.
a did i see a tag that said lifetime warranty does it have wifi?
Caskets are rectangular, think modern day. Coffins are hexagonal, think count dracula.
⚰️ it's just a box we're put into once we're too old to live.
Dear oh dear... There goes My morbid curiosity!
They look more comfortable than my bed...
I know Dracula thinks so
who are you dracula
Lizz Wellne yes. My bed gave me backache lately lol
Give you a real crick in the neck, along with bed sores and pressure points but hey, at the time you'll need it, you won't care! 😂
FR...I know right
Many people are unaware that they have the option to purchase funeral products such as caskets and urns online. Many of the big-box retailers such as WalMart, CostCo, and Sam’s Club offer caskets and there are a number of large, reputable online retailers. Costs can be considerably lower than buying through a funeral home and the shopping can be done from the comfort of your own home.
I love caskets so much.
I just toured that factory with my mortuary college classmates. it was very interesting and just like the video.
@Question Everything Hey, I know this is from a while ago, but im in mortuary school too and I have classmates older than you! It's never too late to do what you love.
I’ve been thinking of going to mortuary school at some point. I don’t know if you’re still there, but did you like it?
@@sarab2324 I have already graduated in 2019 right before the pandemic hit. But yes I did enjoy it very much
@Foxwish3221
What if what you love is doing nothing?
Due to Coronavirus Pandemic, Casket and Coffin business are skyrocketing.
I live in a town that manufactures caskets and hospital beds, and while our infection rate is way too high for our population, the businesses are doing GREAT
You mean, urns and crematorium.
Also ambulance business
You got that right
@@xXDeathPlayXx well you need to be in a casket to get in a crematorium right?!?!
I'm not gonna die yet, why is this on my recommended lists?
Cause its in our future
Maybe someone knows something that you do not.
Any of us could die doing mundane $h!t. You're going down the stairs and the next thing you know, you're upside down and there's a crippling-yet-short pain in your neck.
You never know when your time will come nobody does.
@@richardskola3570 simpsons writers?!
we had one for our beer cooler in the army for company partys
Astral Industries. A good, and well known, company.

Very interesting video
Every body is going to have the day to die Live your life to the full
Wait what? .to have the day to die 😂😂😂 what is that mean
There is life in grave.
@@Lycansrule He/she means, you never know when Death will get you, so enjoy life while you can.
The day when your passport is expired and chopped

I love Discovery Channel.
when the discovery channel was educational not the fake scripted reality bullshit TV
Imagine you are a worker and could be making your casket one day 😭
That is cool how they make caskets...
i' taking it with me. my kids have instructions to fut a radio control fart machine in the box with me
good vid
whats the point of preserving the body when the person is already dead? isnt it kind of gross how the corps is going to rotte inside the coffin? and since the body isnt sterillised, the various baterias in the intestine area is going to start eating its way out of the body...
I'm speculating that something like the waterproofing isn't so much for preservation of the body as it is for keeping any fluids that may leak from the body (during a potentially long memorial service) inside the casket.
True..I'd rather just decompose with grace.
@ embalming doesn't prevent the body from rotting, eventually it's going to happen. What's the point of trying to prevent the body from naturally decomposing into the earth..It makes no sense to me.
If the body was correctly embaled, with good cavity technique, that will not be a problem.
Yeah the thing is, it’s really for the family’s benefit. They don’t like the idea of their loved ones eternal bed coming into contact with anything. Of course even if they are “water tight” they won’t stay that way forever. I won’t get into the gruesome facts, but let’s just say the body will decompose and you can’t do anything about it.
Animals and people are living things that live and grow & and so are trees, plants and flowers
Cool
Sweet.
People are dying to get one
Booooo! Get off the stage!
I don't get it 😕 😐
@@MrAwesomedude808 lol
COVID-19 positive no taste
The family love the deceased so much that they bought a expensive metal casket and buried it in graveyard 50 miles away from their house.😂
I never wanna die
Too bad 😒😔. ⚰️
What season and what episode is it
forgot to mention employe discounts
I would play Astronomia
2:52, water test, they didn't weld the corners. It's water tight at the bottom. But, how about the rest of it? It's already been powder coated, they're not going to go back to finish it. So much for it being sealed.
Why was this recommended to me on the anniversary of my grandfather's death? 😭
if you get a split top your viserea bag will be at your feet
It’s waterproof too!!!
Brook pirtle well thank fuck for that! 😂 ⚰️
Lol well the thing is, they are water proof but it hardly matters since when the body decomposes things will… do their thing.
if i worked there as a goof id strip some handle screw holes so when used they would pulloff
You are an idiot brian notafan!!!
@@mansomewhereoutthere149 And you're a braindead troll.
The mattress and pillow are nice touches. We definitely want the corpse to be comfortable. 🙄
Time to reserve one of those...
It is like coffee cups, use only once.
Good to see they are water-tight bottoms ..
@ Art Howard.....water tight UNTIL the metal deteriorates.
Only water tight for a while but the body will decompose and eventually….
That’s what she said
The caustic decomposing body will eat and rust the metal eventually then leaks will form and then it's a short time to becoming rust and dust.
👍
Wonder how automated this process has gotten by now.
It still runs just like this.
The robots will be running the funeral homes next burying us as fast as efficiently possible, then to increase production they will have to find ways to fill them up faster.🤨😱
We do it a little different at my job
Same! Our ovens also only take 6 1/2 minutes per casket

Full warranty?
The warranty expires when the body decomposed
My big brother had a real gold casket made for him he was 21 when he die
Gold plated you mean?
How
That is wayyy to cheery of music and a way to comical introduction piece about vampires for such a subject. Confronting your imminent mortality.

As pointed out in "The Funeral Critic," metal caskets are generally not the way to go.
How come?
They don't have a emergency escape hatch incase they not dead and still alive 🤣
💥💣💥💣💥💣💥
When one is alive he/she lives in a big bangalow with queen and king sized beds but in the end, one will sleep in a standard sized bed for eternity
So how on earth do you get cremated in one of these? Surly the metal ain’t gonna burn too?
We used to put these in the chambers all of the time. Give it about 3 hours and depending on the gauge of metal, sometimes they came close to the melting point. Inside would be bone which you would collect with a brush and dust pan and the casket would get thrown in the dumpster.
I remember another instance in which the wife of one of the appraisers The Antique Roadshow was sent to our crematorium. She was delivered in a casket that cost almost $7,000. It went in and she was cremated while in it. The metal didn't melt, it was a thicker gauge steel and afterwards she was swept out and it went into the dumpster.
@@RADIUMGLASS thank you for your reply I understand now but I’ve never seen one of these where I live ? The UK I think these ones are beautiful compared to the horrible wooden ones we have here
I’m not a professional or anything but I know quite a bit about the funeral industry and such. A lot of people will use these for cremation but they’re so much more expensive and they’ll just be burned anyway, so there’s caskets or boxes you can get that are far cheaper. You can literally be cremated in a cardboard box which makes a lot more sense to me.
you cant get cremated in a casket your on display in one then put in a cardboard box to be burnt up the casket is a rental
Wait they aren't made of wood?
Wtf
Rubber gaskets on the casket=scam
Hi
Ali Raza edit your comment to *first*
I thought these were made of wood...
Wood was a type too, but metal is also common
wooden casket slogan I GOT WOOD (get it) LMBO
we al l gonna die one day 😸
😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬😡😡🤬🤬💣💣💣💣
What a waste. we should all be composted
a expensive garbage can
Thank you
My moms dad died he’s coming was made out of wood
Kisha Peach coffin*
wood is a waste of money as much sence as buying a dead person a new car
I hope he found it comfortable.. Since many dead people complain about their burial conditions..
Why the fuck all this waste?? Aren't dead people gone and wouldn't care if it's a fancy casket or a wood pallet??
Can someone explain me why we package human waste so expensively when it's gonna smell and look terrible a week after and wouldn't give a fuck at any point..
Total waste. So bad for environment. Plain pine box.
Can you let me know where the factory located? Tq
