Mr. Swan! So glad to see you over here. I still remember when I found your channel a while back. I tried to show Matthias Wandel your stuff but I think he thoughtI was a spam account or something because he responded with "sure I was just about to go do that"
Needless to say WOW what an artist! And you do it all from the planning, building, constructing the hardware and even the upholstering of the inside! WoW!
Very cool. Love your work, you are very talented. I like your speed and your instinct, that you don't do a full 3D CAD with the angles but figure it out as you go. I wish I had your shop!! Seems to be really fun working in this setup. Keep on!
Masterpiece! Perfect. Best of RUclips. If I can find the time, I want to build one as a prank, out of marine grade plywood, wrapped in fiberglass, expanding waterproof glue, with paddles or 40hp motor. Scare some people on a pond, then start and take off, in full coutume.
11/29/23 2:49 I do this trick all the time that’s some old man shit. 3:29 This is a good trick to 9:31 the lines and miters were incredible 12:54 combining wood and metal 14:47 I love the way this came together. 15:13 great ending
Both macabre and fascinating. Lots of your videos, since you don't talk, has these "a-ha" moments when I figure out what it is you're doing. This time for me, it was about half way through the making of the metal handles. I couldn't figure out WHY you were going off on making these diamond shaped things. Then, the lightbulb went off. Great job, Jimmy. Love how you ran off at the end.
Awesome Build! When you did the trim work I was ROFL and then the handless kept me there. Beautiful work! A few drops of red paint for blood here and there might help! Thanks soooo much for sharing.
I somehow managed to leave my youtube running all night, then get to work this morning and this is playing. I'm not at all disappointed. You have a new subscriber. Very cool
That's awesome! I love the look of the old style casket, even when just a plain "pine box". You know what it is by its shape. Modern caskets look like glorified shoe boxes, and are mostly made of steel with 10 locks and water tight gaskets. You're dead, its not if you're going to go any where or drown. You're only job is to rot. If I had/could pick my casket I like this one, classic and a little Gothic. Made of solid wood, black walnut or red oak, with a navy blue liner. Again great job.
Jimmy, I remember a TV show you used to be on. In the opening monologue you said "I'm Jimmy Diresta, I can build anything". I said to myself "That's what every man says", now i Know....You were not blowing smoke!
Watching you Jimmy in these videos is like watching a fish to water fantastic so natural and effortless. This coffin build is no exception, just awesome so cool.
I guy'm too love their inventions'm a fan watching all your videos that your dracula's coffin was very good !!! Congratulations !!! ahhh and send a hug you guys here from Brazil won !!!
I am dependent on its videos are taking too long to send, dont know what to do, give up trembling. KKKKKKK Congratulations Jimmy, YOUR TALENT AND MOTIVATIONAL. HUGS.
Just on the lighter side my 4 yr old watches some of these with me and recognized what you were making " a vampire bed" and bet you were making a vampire trap. Thought I'd share the humor. On a serious note awesome build
I'm not goth or that type of person, but it will still be pretty awesome to sleep in the that. If I ever do I would put speakers and memory foam and all the cool gadgets!
Beautiful, quite instructive video-clip!!! I really liked that you included a raised lid in this case - too many people associate a flat lid with such coffins. How do you determine the thickness of the wooden components relative to a person's weight? This could be important were I to consider the idea of making - or ordering - such a coffin for a very heavy person (150 kg.) almost 2 metres tall, of medium build and not all that fat. Thanks in advance!!!
Thank you a for the love and respect!! This build was about 2/3 days all in waiting for glue / paint etc..
Great video as always. Could you tell me how you did the circling camera at around 10:40. Is it motorised on a track of some sort??? . Thanks
oBri550o probably a piece of wood or steel etc., on a pivot point. Maybe a 3 inch screw, they have .75" of flat shank at the head.
oBri550o I think he just had someone hold it up and walk around...
grkpmpn69 That's what i first thought , but its far to smooth to be hand held.
grkpmpn69 Actually you're probably right with a lot of image stabilization in post
I kept thinking you were finished, but it just continued getting better! Great project!
Great method on those compound angles jimmy. Impressed.
Mr. Swan! So glad to see you over here. I still remember when I found your channel a while back. I tried to show Matthias Wandel your stuff but I think he thoughtI was a spam account or something because he responded with "sure I was just about to go do that"
Master praising another Master...
Master Praising another Master
I lost it when you lay inside the coffin for the first time. This looks great. Could easily be someone´s final resting place.
Awesome video as well.
I'm only halfway through and this is my favorite videos yours. Love it!
You know Jimmy's gravestone won't have his full name on it- just a huge etching of his logo
im creasing
It will just be a bit of wood cut out of his bench propped up with the spray painted logo on it ahaha
ولو الشخص المعني لن برا هذا
You can always tell by watching someone who is skilled and experienced in what they do; very nice work.
Needless to say WOW what an artist! And you do it all from the planning, building, constructing the hardware and even the upholstering of the inside! WoW!
It is absolutely fascinating watching a craftsman at work. Came here directly after an Adam Savage video.
Gotta respect a man that builds his own coffin.
Angle work on this build is amazing. Jimmy makes it look effortless.
Very cool. Love your work, you are very talented. I like your speed and your instinct, that you don't do a full 3D CAD with the angles but figure it out as you go. I wish I had your shop!! Seems to be really fun working in this setup. Keep on!
Thanks for uploading! I've been looking for a tutorial that isn't just for tiny jewlery boxes. This is fantastic!
Who doesn’t love Dracula?! And morbid stuff. My favorite Transylvanian tale is The Historian.
You feeling alright Jimmy? Your stapler didn't have Diresta on it
OLÁ JIMMY, MAIS UM BELO TRABALHO,,,UM ABRAÇÃO, SHOW DO MIRO COMUNICAÇÃO VISUAL,,,BRAZIL,,VALEUUUUUU
Now this is what you call a master craftsman really nice build .
DiResta came back to life , you can tell that what he doing is taking a long time . He used to have a long beard , he shaved it , and it grow again
WOW!!! This is probably one of the hardest builds you've done that I've seen; so many precision angle cuts! A real master, thank you for posting.
Awesome craftsmanship. Would love one for the house. Great video..
So much talent wrapped up in just a few people. You just envision it and then build it and it's very awesome to watch it
Hmm. Now I know what to make for the mother-in-law for Christmas. Great video.

Both macabre and fascinating.

Great job, Jimmy. Love how you ran off at the end.
I think one of my favorite parts of Diresta videos are the ones where I spend the whole first half thinking "What the hell is he DOING?"
Awesome Build! When you did the trim work I was ROFL and then the handless kept me there. Beautiful work! A few drops of red paint for blood here and there might help! Thanks soooo much for sharing.
Oh wow the way you built the frame of the coffin was really cleaver!
this coffin is absolutely beautiful, evan the colour black suits it down to the ground. i'd love to own one of these no messin…. great video.
I don't care if I sound crazy but that coffin is stunning! 😍
Beautiful. Blew me away 👍👌👏👏👏
7:50 - OH NO! It's DiRacula!!! :-) What sort of rig did you use for those "orbiting" shots?
DiRacula!!!!! hahahahahaha
Its a quick rig made with plywood scraps and a counter weight on one screw, I hot glue my camera to things....
Nice effect! Thanks!
jimmydiresta "I hot glue my camera to things..."
That there just made my day!
+jimmydiresta man you are creative
Dang it, Jimmy. Now I'm gonna have to build one of these! Great project. I enjoyed watching. Thanks for posting.
Jimmy you absolutely nailed it once again brother!
This dude has got it figured out. thanks for showing some of your process.
I somehow managed to leave my youtube running all night, then get to work this morning and this is playing. I'm not at all disappointed. You have a new subscriber. Very cool

Just incredible +jimmydiresta A real privilege to watch.

It must be a strange feeling building a coffin... and to lie inside too :D

This is what James DiResta shall be buried in, after his thousand-year reign of craftsmanship has passed.

1:40 THAT kind of line you draw jimmy. is something i could not do. not with 80 years of experience. you are an artist
Beautiful, quite instructive video-clip!!! I really liked that you included a raised lid in this case - too many people associate a flat lid with such coffins.
