Evening calls for us to relax, unwind, and let go of stress.
But many people move into the evening “wired and tired.” And they often feel imbalanced, agitated, or exhausted.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin and Yang are the two opposing, yet equal energies that govern our lives. Yang is about taking action, and Yin is about rest and rejuvenation.
If you’re constantly feeling agitated or imbalanced at the end of the day...
The leftover Yang energy from the day could be “overpowering” your Yin energy.
When you cultivate Yin energy in the evening, you not only relax, unwind, and let go…
But you prepare your mind and body for deep, restful, and rejuvenating sleep.
In this 6-minute video, Master Qi Gong Teacher Lee Holden shares the three best Qi Gong exercises for the evening.
The first exercise relaxes your neck and shoulders and helps relieve mental and emotional stress. The second exercise is all about helping take you out of “fight or flight” mode, and into rest and relaxation mode.
And finally, Lee shares an exercise to help calm your mind, and bring you back to the present moment.

You are the best, Lee. I started yawning before I completed Pulling Down the Sky. Thank you.
Thank you for the video. Please make short video to reduce neck pain and anxiety.
Thank you for this.
Any time
I will try every day! Thank you so much!
You're so welcome! Let us know how it goes.
I did these exercises along with the video and my muscles before were feeling extremely tight, especially in my upper back and shoulders. I know not if its just placebo effect making me want to think im much more relaxed, or if this actually worked, but only time will tell. I think it did work however, as I tried normal stretching earlier in the day and it didnt work as well as this. Very interesting, and ill definitely try other Qi Gong techniques and see if those work as well as this seemed to. Thanks for the informative content.
You're very welcome!
1:47 thank you
You're welcome!
Would there be any way to modify these if you are unable to do standing movements?
Not sure what he would say, but I’ve been practicing qigong for a few yrs and almost every exercise can be modified for sitting (or even laying down, if someone is really ill). I love how adaptable it is… Hope this helps!
Dear Sir: My plan is to become addicted to your Qi Gong practices and knowledge. Take care and be safe. Kentucky,.
I have chronic insomnia, have had it for 13 years. I sleep four, sometimes less per night.
I am doing serious yawning by spinal breathing 😂 . Thank you

It should beside the image of the little bell.
I'm watching you with no sound. Too much talking but thanks for the movements.
