Great video Dan, I really like the stories associated with all the various fig cultivars, do more! I'm here in zone 9A, Texas, it was a tough year with all the 100 plus degrees and little rain but now I'm getting more figs as the weather comes more in line with it's early Fall pattern.
Thanks, I'd like to do more of these videos rather than tasting videos. The people and stories behind many of these figs is what makes growing figs fun.
1st off… I can comment! Thanks for sharing your visit to CA. Thanks to the fig growers Nick & Pamala for showing your fig collection. Smith, Genevese Nero, Adriatic JH, Tradiva L4 are a few of my favs. 6a Michigan
This was a great video to see a couple of grower, collectors who live within 2 hours of me. I always learn something and I enjoyed seeing you folks tour and taste some figs.
Hey Dan, love the videos! My brother turned me on to you. I was wondering if you trade fig cuttings? or sell cutting? I only have an Italian fig and a black mission fig which I'm sure you already have lol Id love to grow my collection! Thanks in advance!
Dan, thanks for sharing this adventure, enjoy California, we are getting frost warning tonight in Michigan.
I need a few good frosts to knock off all my leaves. Stay warm!
