This is truly superbly thought out and executed. Excellent use of the space and everything fits perfectly without anything necessary left out. I give it an A+++. Especially great for being "just" British N gauge @ 1:148. Excellent modelling. Just would have loved to see the actual Magnorail installment.
Moved to comment again. This is the third time I've heard you being apologetic. I know you have said that you are not that confident in front of the camera and mic but you are an incredibly talented modeller, right up there with the best on RUclips. You should know that your commentary, the video edit, the pace and feel of the videos are all very good indeed and an enjoyable experience for the viewer
I must agree with mark5439. Your modelling skills are brilliant and the time you take on the most fiiddly of jobs is amazing. The finished go kart track is superb as is your attention to detail. The way the video is edited and your style make for an enjoyable and informative watch. I look forward to more of your excellent content and inspiration.
Really fantastic work Dan! You've got to be pleased with the results! Loved watching the karts performing laps as the trains ran in the background! Wonderful! All the best, Ian.
This is a superb scene, then the fact that this has been achieved in N Gauge knocks it right out of the park. Give yourself a pat on the back, this is likely the best visual & exciting use of Magnorail on the modelling scene anywhere... Well Done.
I'm actually amazed this is the first time I've seen anyone use this system like this. I had thought it would be brilliant for something like oval racing.
You should be more than pleased with all your layouts, even going back to the mobile home shed. I and many others I bet are well impressed with your ability to build impressive layouts matey.
Really wouldn't have expected to see something like that in Ngauge.. even in 00. So much thought and detail really brings it to life. The friction line round the track actually works in your favour too as you tend to find more wear around the preferred racing lines. You could even weather the race track some more by putting oil stains at the start and tire marks leading in to the corners from braking and over steering. And, if I was modelling go-karts from my own experience.. at least one kart thats either permanently broken down or has spun off at the first corner (I don't have much luck karting, lol) Excellent work 😊
Hi fantastic job with the kart track it fits in so well and with the backdrop of the trains running by gives lots of depth and interest! I am a regular at the whilton mill kart track and there are a lot of similarities and a whilton mill feel to it! Another way of adding some realism may be to darken up the line the karts take on the track like a racing line, I noticed you are naturally getting a line on the track where the karts are running so you could add tyre rubber!! Once again great modelling!! Cheers Gary
I think that would be a good idea yes once they're run in a bit more, that'd hide the very linear track the karts follow anyway, thank you for the comment
Kia ora Daniel, outstanding, innovative and thanks for sharing the development journey of this area of your layout. It wasn't until the loco rolled by that I remembered this is N Scale. Does this Go-Kart Park have a name? When you eventually move I hope you can save this. Nga mihi nui James
I haven't yet got a name for the track, though I think something like Deltan Karting will suffice, I've designed this all on one board so I can dismantle the scenery around it and keep the go kart track in full hopefully
I have to say this is outstanding work - the best use of this system I have seen by far - I have already contacted your resin printing guy to do something similar myself, although mine may be just a static track. The word wow really doesn't do this justice.
Apologies for not getting the personalised kart promised, I didn't realise how difficult it would be just painting some of the body work on these in 1 colour! Cheers for the comment anyhow
Really enjoyed this video. I don't believe ive seen a go kart track modeled before so it was great to see. Look forward to seeing what you build next😃👍
This is beautiful... however.....just a suggestion....if you could make a two lanes layout with "passing points " designed in the layout...it would give it much more of a "racing" feel...but it looks wonderful none the less
Absolutely fantastic, really does give that extra bit of interest and compliments the trains in the background. How you getting on with the pendolinos?
@@greatdeltan6556 May I suggest contacting Rapido Trains, (as Rvn Tns wont do anything). Euan from Backwood Jcn contacted Rapido, they bent over backwards to help him, sending out wheelsets, problem solved.
That’s a great scene Dan. I’ve had a couple of days out at Whilton Mill kart track. Was that your inspiration as it’s near the M1 and WCML just north of Northampton? Regardless the scene really works well and captures the atmosphere of a track day and night. One of the best moving car scenes I’ve seen on a layout in any scale. 🏎️👍🏻
its Always Impressive watching these updates, along with how you do most of it, id of covered my hands in white Paint trying to hold the card as i painted them XD, those carts Painted look so impressive, especially for the size they are, everytime i watch the Channel it always makes me want to restart and wish i had more room for a layout of similar size
The kart track really is very good and it’s refreshing to see something I’ve not seen modelled previously 👍🏻🚂
Thank you!

Hi thank you for the comment, there is a video on the channel detailing the installation of the magnorail for those track, hope that helps

wow. This is one of the best magnorails I've ever seen. Seems to really suit the go-kart idea even more than a regular road.
My thoughts exactly, the radius and speed just work with it
I thought the go kart thing wouldn't work but you have pulled it off. Looks amazing!!
I'm so glad it went ok! Not without its hiccups though
Absolutely fantastic, wouldn't have thought it was N gauge at first!
Thank you
Looks amazing and not unlike Wilton Mill. Love what you have created in that space! Bravo.
Thank you:)
Brilliant use of Magnorail, your right, not seen a Go Cart track on a layout before and you have captured the scene perfectly!
Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for that comment, one of my goals of the channel is to show what can be achieved in N gauge and I think this does that very well

Fantastic work Daniel. Something a little bit different from lots of other layouts.
I wish I had the time and the patience ! 😂

Well deserved - your skills are beyond belief.
Bro, you killed it on the track. I am sooo going to copy this for my layout. Great Work....🤜🤛.
Please do, it'd be great to see more of these
Fantastic modelling, the final result is much better than i ever thought it could have been, especially in N Gauge. Well done! 😀
Thank you!
That is really cool. Great addition to a great layout. Very nice work. Cheers - Larry.
Thank you
This is such a creative idea and executed so well. But to do this in 2mm scale adds to the achievement. Very impressive. 😊
That's fantastic, great use of the magnorail
Thank you!
Hi Daniel Amazing! really inventive and different and very well modelled too. Great work for Great Deltan! Thanks
Thank you!
Nice one, the little go karts look really effective. Looks like your cracking on fast to finish the layout now.
Thank you Ben
Thats a great use of space, it really fits in and the little details are spot on👌

Thank you, these are 3D printed karts so I'm sure they could be inflated to O gauge scale
