Lunchking, I’m now following and really touched by Jimmy’s lifetime track, man I love slot racing and his is on another level thank u very much🥰👍📡✔️📡🏁🏁🏁🇺🇸
Ryan and Derek, this is Jimmy... I want to personally thank you for all your fine work on the latest Lunch King video. It's really special to me! Especially since this project has been a lifetime of fun, now thanks to you we can share it with other racing fans. Derek, your editing and video work is first rate. Man you are so very good at what you do! Thank You gentlemen.
I've just watched the video again and I'm finding myself find more and more things I missed the first time round. Mate we should be thanking you for showing us the life's work
I am rarely at a loss for words but this gentleman and his track have blown me away. I had No idea such a track existed much less all of the technology it contains. You are a brilliant!! Thanks for sharing.
Well I'm not sure about brilliant Mark, but thanks a lot for the kind words! Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
This video just came up on my RUclips feed.I'm a big race fan and the level of detail in this track in amazing.Jimmy really knows how to explain all its feature's and his knowledge shine's through.Brilliant stuff.
I’ve been a builder of static models for about 50 years, and try for watch-maker levels of detail, but your work is a whole level beyond mine. I do 1/35 military, but this is astounding. You deserve a far wider audience, this is really impressive. I salute you, Sir.
I admire this guy. Loves life and found something enjoyable to stick with and pour into. The attention to detail is astounding. Great personality. A one of a kind top artist.
Most impressive track and detailed slots I ever seen. This is a passion and living a dream. Thank you sooooo much with sharing it. It really amazing. Thanks Ryan and Derek.
You know, Jimmy, the finest thing about your raceway, is not the accuracy, the innovative methods used to replicate real racing, it’s not even your passion or labour of love, it’s the most amazing humanity that you’ve shared this with so many other people. Lots of collectors and enthusiasts build things for themselves, you’ve built thus for everyone. Your willingness to share and help others is a model for the entire world to copy. If there were more people like you in the world, the world would be a better place.
You know your comment came just-in-time Alberto because today I read one comment that made me sad. It said I should give the money I had put into my track to the poor. It kind of made me feel bad. But, I've had Church youth groups here with kids who had special needs. All they had to do was move their finger to make the cars run so thier smiles were worth it to me ....thanks again for your cheerful comments.. Hope you subscribe. Go back and send it your friends because the guys plan on doing more videos. Thanks again my friend.
@@jimmyattard1446 It’s easy to say these things like “you should….etc etc”. It’s wrong for anyone to do this. Firstly, she doesn’t know what you do and secondly, as you, said, the community uses your track. It’s not for us as citizens to give money to the poor (I’m not saying don’t help or give) it’s for us to pressure the government to legislate against poverty and homelessness. The US poverty problem will not go away with you giving your hobby money to the poor. It’s the whole US system of “democracy”. Fortunately, I live in the UK, so we at least have free healthcare and it’s excellent in all ways. However, it is under siege from a government that is looking at allowing US private firms in. It’s not about improvement but personal gain. God forbid we head down the track like your corporate sponsored politicians, but the evidence is strong that we are already beginning to. Keep up your good work, and your kindness to others is all you need to give, since those that see your example, will do the same for others. Ignore the pious and the whitened sepulchres, they like to grandstand and appear good and holy. (A quick story here: a priest came to my church to look for vocations. He said that when the potential seminarians come on retreat, he asks them to empty their pockets. The ones with bibles and rosary beads he doesn’t select, however, the ones with scraps of paper, conkers (game played with the fruit of horse chestnut tree) paper clips and all manner of tat, are the ones that make the best priests). That corroborates my belief on how to live your life.
This is possibly the greatest thing I've ever seen in my 47 years on this planet! This video just popped up on my feed out of nowhere, and I couldn't be more grateful for it. This man is a Wizard! The level of detail is astounding. Thank you so much for this interview! I can't wait to see more of this track and learn more of the Man who created it. Jimmy, my hats off to you Sir!
Thx ACV! Thanks for the nice comment. If you haven't already, go see the other segments the guys did. If you like them forward to your friends and please subscribe!
what a great story. the track looks fantastic, one of the best landscaped tracks I have ever seen. I have heard of AC2car but never understood properly how it works until now.
Giovanni, thanks for the nice words. I'm especially happy that you were able to understand the AC to car concepts. I wasn't sure if I was explaining it clear enough... many people don't want to know and they just say sorry things about it. I'm glad you understand it better and I hope others do too. Please share it with others so they can understand and thank you my friend!
Always loved full detail tracks. Great ideas, love the lane spacing, clever AC solution, but most of all, the scenery. Also love the big tracks, since my parents owned one in the 60's. But my heart is less speed, more detail.
This was an absolute joy to watch! I don't think I blinked! Realistic racing (speed) on a vintage track pulls on my heart string. Thank you uncle Jim for sharing your passion (and for filming it, Ryan). I'll certainly be following.
Today’s a good day! At 65 I so rarely get to say this: “This guy, Uncle Jimmy, is my Hero! I love what he did there and how accessible he made it to kids and adults alike! Thanks Jimmy!
Thank you for your diligence to get your uncles track on the youtube channel. Im rob i raced at lunch from Ford.I am still working on my track, Thanks Jimmy !
Your uncle seems like a really friendly and helpful guy. You can see the pleasure he gets from the hobby. Thanks for showing this, was really cool and very interesting.
Thanks for the kind words Torso...Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
Hello Ryan and Jim, Wow, Absolutely Brilliant! I have been a slot car fan since the late 50's/early 60's and the Aurora Vibrating Reed HO slot cars. In my high school years (1964-68), I raced 1/24 AMT models at a commercial slot car track in Portland, Maine. Did reasonably well on a lawn mowing/snow shoveling/paperboy's budget. Fast forward a few decades, in the late 90's, there was a Pro built HO track that was a commercial business that I raced at for a few years, but here in So. Cal. with all the outdoor activity that can be done, there wasn't enough interest and it closed. Another decade or so goes by, and I find a 1/24 track (the "Teal Terror", owned by Mike Tucker) right here in El Cajon, Ca., that I raced at for a few years, then it sold and quickly folded. Then, up popped another HO track by the same owner (Gary Morgan, a terrific & generous guy and hard racer) but after only another few years, it too closed from low turn outs. There has always been a great group of hardcore guys like me. but to run a slot car track as a business, it's just too hard in this area to do so. I miss the comrade and fun and competitive racing that is Slot Cars. SO great to see such a fine craftsman and gentleman applying his skills to a hobby I've always loved. Thanks so much for showing the layout and history. Stay safe and healthy. cheers Boots Langley La Mesa, Ca
Absolutely loved this! The only request I have is that I'd love to see how one car overtakes another. I heard the verbal explanation, but I think if I saw it, then it would make more sense to me.
Wow, everyone needs an Uncle Jimmy! Simply amazing all the thought, time, and engineering he put in. I can’t wait to see more, and hear more stories. Thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed seeing your track. Very well done. Impressive. I have no interest in the tracks in which the cars travel at ridiculously unrealistic speeds. Your concept is spot on in my opinion. Bravo!
Wow! This is really cool. I am into slot cars, started with the old Aurora T-Jets back in the day, Carrera digital now. The only thing more impressive than the scenery, the electronic wizardry, the dedication to the pursuit of racing realism is his passion for sharing it with friends and family. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story.

So cool ! I remember in the 60s a set up like this in a shop in a small Australian coastal town . I was to young to join in and race but was allowed to watch the action.. Beautiful little cars and the smell of ozone and solvents etc engraved in my head.
That is unbelievable detail. I was still a kid in the mid 60's, and my uncles were on the back end of their slot careers, but they had a league in my grandpa's basement, it was a huge 6 slot banked figure eight (with a tunnel) for competitive racing. My grandpa was an electrician and built it...easily 30 ft long by approx 10 ft wide. It was crazy, cars were so fast and if they fish tailed too much in turns would bump the other cars and send them flying.
Steve I'm so glad it brought up warm memories ....as far as I'm concerned that's what it's all about ....hopefully the kids that race on my track will get that warm glow 20 years from now ....thanks for the kind words my friend
What an incredible track! Just top-notch work. Thanks for sharing this. Used to race these when I was a kid and this brought back some great memories. Thanks again!
The memories is what it's all about John! Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
Thank you for sharing, that was awesome! Your uncle seems like a good man! The track....I mean layout,is incredible, very impressive work and detail, true craftsmanship! And the video was top shelf! Some how I keep missing your uncle's website though. Thanks again Keith
Great WAJ, my track stands out but I certainly don't have an amazing mind. But thanks for your kind words my friend. If you haven't subscribed to Lunch King please do. Please go back and if you enjoy the track and racing video, forward it to your friends and family.
All the tools, equipment, materials, the cost must be off the charts, and Jimmy's engineering abilities reminds me of my dad who used to be a mechanical engineer who designed aircraft engines. Engineering or the mechanical is not my thing, to say the least, so people who work in such fields always impress me. Great stuff.
Truly Frank... I used scrap wood for everything but the track surface which I bought new. Counting the router bits and tape, just the track alone not counting scenery, I don't think I have more than $300 IN GETTING the track built and running. Plz go back and subscribe, and share this video with friends. Thanks again my friend!
GMG Thanks for your nice words....Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the kind comment my friend.
Wow. Jimmy Attard is so nice. I love slot cars. Always wanted to go upscale from HO but never did. If Jimmy was my neighbor, I'm sure I would have. I still have over 100 HO slot cars and Aurora track from the T-jet days.
I’m in awe of your uncle’s work! I remember reading about AC2Car many many years ago, accidentally stumbling on his website. I thought it was the greatest thing to scale racing and still think it’s true. It truly looks like real racing compared to any other slot car system out there. Unfortunately i haven’t had the chance to experience a track like this up close. I wish I had an uncle Jim of my own to work next to and learn the skill. Say hello and thank you for sharing his knowledge and showing us his beautiful and elaborate track. And thank you to you as well for bringing this into your show, it speaks volumes that you’d showcase your uncle and his work. Bravo!
Thank you Juvi for all the kind words ...i am so glad it inspires you! ..share this video to inspire others because the guys are planning on doing more segments... and thanks again for all the kind words my friend.
What a wonderful track, and what amazing stories! Uncle Jimmy is a true craftsman and historian who has built something unique. I'd love to see a track like this up close and personal, it'd be amazing!
Such a wonderful track! Any updates coming on the pieces mentioned? the racetrack entry, the press towers and pit row?? Looking forward to seeing his EXCELLENT work!
JA & LK thanks for a great video!! Very much impressed with all the hard work and the thinking that went in for the pre-planning of all this work!! I raced slot cars in the '60s and '70s and periodically will get a set out and race them. Thanks for bringing back a lot of memories!!
Wow. Just wow. I've seen tracks, scale tracks, big tracks, small tracks but not anything close to this. It's cool to hear your uncle talk about his pride and joy! Absolutely amazing track and slot car collection!
Why thanks so much Afro!Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
This looks like it went from passion to obsession. Either way, this track and collection is simply amazing and you would have no shortage of friends who want to be with you.
Considering the often times finicky contour demands of some cars, I wonder how hard Laguna Seca's Corkscrew would be to recreate. I'm about to begin a build with 1:24 track/1:32 cars with an 8'X24' layout footprint. I have about 32 yards of Carrera Digital track, different bank/radius sections etc. Also will be building a dirt/rally section, using the stained glass copper tape. Recently retired, can't wait to get started😃
Looks amazing! But it would be the lest2 show it in action as well. I always hated car race models 4 their unrealistic ultra high speed- especually in the curves.
Great work as always Jimmy! Thank you again for the invite to come race all those years ago... Can't wait to start trading plastic and paint with the others on your track this coming November. Defiantly need some racing footage uploaded to RUclips soon, people are hungry for more of the track:)
From one modeler to another thanks for commenting....subscribe and we can go to lunch with Ryan when he shoots a Lunch King video. You'd make a great taste tester!
Hay buddy this is Robert whitley, I am still looking forward to you all teaching the creation of the fan and pit crew and all the figures please send a date. Love this that you all are exposing conserning this track. my first experience during lunch at Ford Thanks jimmy!
That is the best most awesome track I have ever seen. I used to race my cars on a little eight shaped track when young but enjoyed doing it. A wonderful hobby to have
Thanks for the kindness Todd..i guess I started with a little figure eight track too. Now 58 years later look where it got me.😁...Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
WOW ! That was incredible, I just have never seen such a beautiful track. I know that people like your uncle Jim have been building for years, but this is my first time seeing one in a video. I grew up with AFX Racing and me and my brother saved our cars and track and every Christmas we received a new track and cars. By the time we were in high school we had made a large track and had Lionel HO Trains and a few buildings. But nothing like this. Thanks for the video.
Johnny...the rush of memories with your brothers is what it's all about...Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
I’m originally from Dearborn Heights and my wife is Maltese. My wife’s uncle Francis lived in Dearborn and had a wonderful model train setup in his basement. My wife’s brother works at Ford Experimental Engine. Well done video! Your uncle Jim is a special guy!
Very very cool! That's got to be one of the most detailed tracks I've ever seen. Not many people get to spend a lifetime working on their passion, and the fact that it's such a positive impact on others makes it that much sweeter. I wish your uncle Jimmy many more years of enjoyment, making new friends, and bringing people together with this fun hobby.
Thankyou NM for your kind words! Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
That place is just magical. The whole thing fills me with nostalgic, 70s vibes. I would have loved to have a go on that as a kid. Bravo sir, fascinating passion project. Looks like you’ve made a special place for a lot of people over the years.
Thanks for the nice words Ozzy. . Hope you subscribe. Go back and send it your friends because the guys plan on doing more videos. Thanks again my friend.
I would like to do this in 1/64 scale very cool way to race really like how the lanes don't have to be super wide. Looks so good with the realistic scenery adds so much more then just a track alone.
Awesome, I've friends with superb slot car tracks, scenery etc, but this layout takes it to another level👍👍😊😊 And yet the enthusiasm and comeradiery is the same on this side of the pond too. I'd love to see a race taking place too 👍😊😊 Thanks for sharing 👍👍
We ran short of time for action shots...stay tuned...Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
What a nice guy your uncle Jim seems to be. Fabulous dedication to making a real race experience come alive in 1?32 scale. I subscribed and am hoping to watch a race event in the future.
I can't believe the technology in this track it is absolutely awesome the scenery is right on and God bless you you're a very brilliant man to have designed something like this
Boy Tony, your kind words made me blush. Thanks for the nice comment. If you haven't already, go see the other segments the guys did. If you like them forward to your friends and please subscribe!
Covid put a stop to our racing Bob. Saturday was the first race in almost 3 years. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
What a brilliantly clever and interesting man your uncle is. He's built what looks like a magnificent track which enables 'real' racing like he said about the overtaking manoeuvres. Pity he doesn't live around the corner as I would be around there after getting a go myself.
Andy thanks for your kind words....Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
@@jimmyattard1446 I have subscribed so will get a reminder of anything new. I'll be over in 11 hrs and 20 mins as Google Maps says that's how long it will take my flight from the U.K. to get to your area! Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Thank you for this episode! This is a dream track. This is a hobby I have always wanted to get into, but I've never been fortunate enough to have the space. It's nice to see a fellow Michigander with the same passion for vintage racing. Wishing you many happy laps!!!
Tiim I too am in Michigan (Grand Rapids). My track scenery is a bit more simply as it's in a temporary state and you could have a setup using a kit like Scalextric. The track is a bit more narrow than other brands so takes up less space and you can run 6 cars in one lane. You can press a button at lane changer tracks for passing and blocking as described in this video.
Talk about a labor of love…it’s incredible. You’d be hard pressed to find a track any nicer than this in the entire world..I’m just in awe of what he’s done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I first learned about Jimmy and his track on Slot Car Illustrated about 17 years ago. I was looking to get into this hobby and a quick search of the net took me to SCI. I am enjoying this immensely. Thank you
Why thanks DB! Thanks for the nice comment. If you haven't already, go see the other segments the guys did. If you like them forward to your friends and please subscribe!
Thanks for the kind thoughts Steve! Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comments my friend.
Amazing! I had an HO 4 lane track with lap counters, if someone fell off track, each driver had a button that cut off power to all cars, we put the crashed car back on track, give his car a 1 lap penalty, push button again to restore power to everyone and the race continued. My setup had trees and buildings but nothing like your setup. Looks like a 60’s 70’s racetrack and I love the GT40, Ferrari 330 P4. You really know your stuff. Loved seeing your setup, brings back the memories.
Jeff...Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
Thanks for sharing your uncle’s slot car track. As a side note, the Eldon Selectronic racing set that he mentioned works exactly on the same principles of diode control. Genius!
WONDERFUL... Dan you and very few others can remember that short lived run of Eldon Selectronic tracks! You are showing your age my friend. Thanks for the kind words
Man..................thanks for that. That hit me in a special way since my dad had a giant HO train layout in the basement that we were always showing off to people who just stopped by. But it meant a lot to him, and me, and everyone associated with my family. I can see the same amount of pride in Jimmy's face as he explains his plans and talks about everything he has done. I just wanted to let you guys know how much I enjoyed this video and how awesome that track looks. Thanks again.
I am very glad Travis, that's what this video is all about... bringing back warm memories. Hope you subscribe. And, thank you for your support. Go back and forward this video to your friends because the guys are planning to have more soon. Thanks again my friend.
When I was a kid in the 70's, we used to have a place here in Denver called Celebrity Sports Center. It had 80 Bowling Lanes, an Olympic size Swimming Pool, Arcades and such. On the bottom floor next by the entrance to the Swimming Pool they had a large area that was dedicated to Slot Car Racing. They had three four Lane tracks; one for HO Scale, and two for larger Scale cars, in different layouts. There was also a "Pit Area" where you could purchase Parts and Accessories, and work on your cars. We would wander the Track, placing back cars that had left the Track or came out of the Slot. Once a guy gave me an old Car and Controller he had in exchange for helping out with replacing the cars. Eventually the slot car craze died down, priorities changed with the Proprietors, and they eventually moved out the Tracks and converted the Space to an Arcade with pinball and Video games.
Thats as awesome as you can get!!! And i thought we got creative with slot cars 😃😂 you brought back so many memories, I can't thank you enough for sharing your family's racing experience in this slot car, growing up 7 of us lived and breathed slot car racing we had the old cars 60s and 70s cars then after high school we went into the military, navy army marines and airforce. I miss those crazy nights and it was all nighters, 3 of made it back home, I have all the cars we raced growing up on a trac, I thank you sir for sharing when I started your video I was smiling thinking he guys check it out. Lol My compliments sir and thanks again
Amazing layout. You can really see that jimmy’s passion has been translated into the level of detail this track has. I only wish I had the space to get back into the hobby.
One thing that's amazing is that even when the camera zooms in tight, the level of derail is so good, it still looks realistic. Too bad we can't see the cars running on the track.
Thanks for your good comments, Stephen, We plumb ran out of time and space! Also we never thought my track would draw so much interest. If you enjoyed the video go back and share with your friends because the guys plan more videos covering the track in the near future. Thanks again for the comments my friend
Wow Wow And Wow again What a clever man And what a place he has put together Blimey The detail The wiring yikes The garage workshop and spray booth The track is something else lane changing c'mon a more natural way possible for track and groove and a diode to help the job, I found out about the diode in a previous video, a British fella, His channel.... slot car Dad He had bought a 1977 TCR slotless track boxed Something he had never heard of nor me? Hot wheels or matchbox car scale! Never heard of them, yet so advanced in 77, 3 cars two players with the third car acting as a jam car all possible due to this similar diode trick Very clever But your Uncles slot car track is way better then any scalextric tracks I've seen, ive seen some beauties in my time they also had switch lanes but not like this More a cross over and having slots close making the cars look so realistically placed whilst racing Just Brilliant Just Exceptional I could spend days in there just looking 👍😁 My offering would be trees There's always room for trees to scale of course lol
Completely speechless!!! Only on RUclips will you meet these amazing human beings. As a fan of Motorsports and passed crew-member, I’m in awe over the details. Thanks so much for sharing your uncle’s dream. He’s a great American, especially getting young kids involved. JT: Orlando FLA
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. Your Uncle is a special man. I wish I could face with him. Im an old school slot car racer. Im blown away with this and so glad you shared. Please keep it up as one day us old guys won’t be around. In the meantime enjoy every second. 👍🏻
Right you are Freedom life is short my friend.Go back and share this segment with your friends and subscribe because the guys are planning more videos about the track and more.
This is an incredible video. I raced 1/24 scale as a teenager and those were some of the best times. Dad and I rewound our motors etc to make them faster. I’m deeply impressed with your track and dedication to the slot car sport. Well done mate.
I have no idea, why this vid popped into my feed, I super glad it did. Such a joy to see a man enjoying and sharing his life's passion. The World needs more Uncle Jims. He needs his own YT channel. 🥰
coolest thing ever..wow. Isn't there DCC control for slot cars like trains? I like the diode trick he mentions, i guess that's a a rudimentary dcc control....Thats a good scale to work with, growing up we had the store bought AFX and Gplus HO scale cars, hours of fun on those.
It's a technical & artistic masterpiece. You could look at it all day & still not take it all in. What a creation! Hats off to you Jimmy, from Australia.

That is the most awesome racetrack I've ever seen. Thank you and especially your uncle for showing it. Now that I'm getting ready to retire I would love to start trying to build one myself. I have some special needs grandchildren that would benefit from helping build it and I know from racing the cars. Thank you again for showing us that awesome track.

Thank you for this wonderful video. It’s an inspiration for me now that I’m starting to build my own track and with the intention to be as realistic as possible. I’ll see all your videos. Your are the master of the scenery. Regards from Spain.
I would love to see a demonstration of how the ac2 car system works along with the lane changers! Beautiful track! Inspires me to get mine converted over to oxygen and get back to racing and building scenery!

I remember playing on a 8 lane track this size in 1980 under the CN Tower . We stood up on a platform so we could see the whole (much simpler) track. I have to assume there's points on the track that you lose sight of your car and you're driving blind, no?
Thanks for commenting Rooktabula... We lose site of the cars in the tunnel, but it's purposely an up hill climb thru it so we never De slot there. Hope you subscribe. And, thank you for your support. I'm 61 and when I was in the 5th grade we lived in Oregon City. I got 50 cents a week for my allowance. There was a hobby shop below the giant elevator (most Oregonians know the elevator well) anyways I would save a few weeks and buy a model. The old fellow that owned it had a giant 8 lane slot car track in the front and in the back room he had old arcade games (mechanical not video) About 10 years ago I was pleasantly surprised to see it was still there and open. It wasn't a hobby shop anymore, they sold antique toys. I was telling the young gal about the nice old man that used to own the shop. She told me that he was her grandpa!
Using that copper tape is brilliant. I know exactly what he’s talking about too I used to have a neighbor that recreated those Tiffany shades using Tiffany patterns and glass techniques. Also changing the polarity so two cars can run on one track is absolutely BRILLIANT

This gentleman is an engineer, an artist and above all else, a veritable enthusiast! This is simply stunning! Please put an action cam on the roof of a car and take us around this remarkable track.
Awesome layout! I still have my cars and controllers, but when I went overseas during Vietnam, my mother, thinking I didn't want it, she gave away all my slot track. I still want to do a layout, and this video is getting the juices flowing again!
I’m just a few minutes in and had to comment. Me and my best friend and a nice HO set up as high schoolers. It was 90 sq ft of table top laid out in an ell. I can’t remember the exact feet track for one lap, but it was about a scale 1.7 miles around the circuit. The full landscaped track was 4 lanes wide, each lane having its own power pack. The track had numerous elevation changes and over & underpasses to keep you fully immersed into the play. We had one big red kill switch that stopped the entire track should someone have an off, which kept the racing close. You see; while trying to recover your car and get back into the race the other competition would have already accumulated at least four laps. My parents and his parents were close church friends and often were known to dine together. Thing is that they would frequently make use of our little raceway. They seemed to enjoy the activity just as much as we did. Great memories for sure. I’m back after watching....... I’m in awe of this guys setup. I can easily see how he’s spent 35 years in the making. I would be happy to just replicate what I once had to share with my family and friends. I’m soooo tempted.
Chris, your good memories made my day. That's what it's all about! Hope you subscribe. And, thank you for your support. Go back and forward this video to your friends because the guys are planning to have more soon. Thanks again my friend.
Bro…This makes the largest Tyco Track in back of the Toys R Us, Sears and JC Pennys Christmas catalog looking like a small hot wheels track…OMG…can you imagine being able to race on this thing….
We plumb ran out of time and space to do more Josh! Also, we never thought my track would draw so much interest. If you enjoyed the video go back and share with your friends because the guys plan more videos covering the track in the near future. Thanks again for the comments my friend
Hello all! Thank you for all your support on this video! I am happy so many of you are able to enjoy Jimmy's lifetime of work and artistry! Man you are so very good at what you do! Thank You gentlemen.
WOW, so much talent !! I don't know if you remember me, Neil Murawski, but I remember you and your laugh. What an awesome job.
@@neilmurawski6253 Hello Neil .... I noticed your name immedeatly from Bldg 5 days! Thanks for the nice words my friend.
@@jimmyattard1446 Glad you remember me. The detail is beyond awesome. Take care my friend.
What a great piece Jimmy nice job ! I can only imagine the hours of fun on that track

Absolutely 100%
I admire this guy. Loves life and found something enjoyable to stick with and pour into. The attention to detail is astounding. Great personality. A one of a kind top artist.
Thanks again Puff! Go back and share this segment with your friends and subscribe because the guys are planning more videos about the track and more.
I'm 38 years young. I haven't enjoyed a video on RUclips like I have with this one. Thank you Jimmy!
Wow thanks for your kind comment DG! Please go back and subscribe, and share this video with friends. Thanks again my friend!
Amazing to see someone being able to fulfill their passion to this extent. Respect for all the detail and quality
Thank you
A brilliant track, clear to see how much time and passion Jimmy has thrown into it over the years! Kudos.
The man is a genius. I hope he made a lot of money in life, he deserves it.
Unbelievable realism, your passion for racing is so admirable, love seeing the stock cars from the sixties!
Hello Ryan and Jim,
Wow, Absolutely Brilliant!
Stay safe and healthy.
cheers

Thank you for your response
Absolutely loved this!
The only request I have is that I'd love to see how one car overtakes another. I heard the verbal explanation, but I think if I saw it, then it would make more sense to me.
Yes AP we need to get some cars on the track but we were pressed for time....Stay tuned
Thanks for the nice words Doug. ruclips.net/video/osfRVghOgVA/видео.html
I had 1st a Strombecker 1/32 layout and replaced it with a Revell 1/32 set.

This guys a freaking genius. I hope you truly have gratitude for having someone like this in your life.
Oh ....like n share the video.... Share the glow!

Absolutely fantastic! Amazing layout, great detail, with so much passion for the hobby.
Cheers,

Uncle Jim is a true gentleman. Great dedication and great passion.
Great work as always Jimmy! Thank you again for the invite to come race all those years ago...
Can't wait to start trading plastic and paint with the others on your track this coming November. Defiantly need some racing footage uploaded to RUclips soon, people are hungry for more of the track:)

I could chat with this fella all night lol. Love the historical SCCA Trans Am #V8ponycars and the vintage NASCAR slot cars. This man is brilliant
That is the best most awesome track I have ever seen. I used to race my cars on a little eight shaped track when young but enjoyed doing it. A wonderful hobby to have

Thank you - He is something special and Maltese too..
Wow so many memories. Fly cars are so nice looking. I didn't have adult money back then so i didn't get the best one, but my favorite cars were fly.
The amount of “free time” this guy had to do this is just mind blowing in so envious of the time he had to mess around

Thanks Paco!... share this video with your friends because the guys are planning more segments... and thanks again for your kind words my friend
Very very cool! That's got to be one of the most detailed tracks I've ever seen. Not many people get to spend a lifetime working on their passion, and the fact that it's such a positive impact on others makes it that much sweeter. It’s not easy to stay with a scale not only with cars but other vehicles, and buildings.
Thank you
I would like to do this in 1/64 scale very cool way to race really like how the lanes don't have to be super wide.
Another outstanding video.........FINALLY...we got to see cars racing ! ! ! ! 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Covid put a stop to our racing Bob. Saturday was the first race in almost 3 years. Thank you for following Lunch King. Please forward our work to your friends and family!
Love the layout. I'm getting my grandson into slot cars. Its such a great hobby.
@@andrewthomasfinney752 You are always welcome here Andrew!
So cool about the AC transformer increasing performance over DC
Talk about a labor of love…it’s incredible. You’d be hard pressed to find a track any nicer than this in the entire world..I’m just in awe of what he’s done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I first learned about Jimmy and his track on Slot Car Illustrated about 17 years ago. I was looking to get into this hobby and a quick search of the net took me to SCI. I am enjoying this immensely. Thank you
It's so awesome to see the ❤️ Jimmy has for the hobby!
Why thanks DB! Thanks for the nice comment. If you haven't already, go see the other segments the guys did. If you like them forward to your friends and please subscribe!
I love, love, love this. What a fabulous accomplishment. I can only imagine how many wonderful times Jimmy has made for family and friends.
Thanks for the kind thoughts Steve! Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comments my friend.
Marvelous. Truly the most amazing thing in miniature racing I’ve ever seen!
This man is brilliant. The labour that went into that track is unbelievable
Creek, slotcars make you feel young again! Thanks for your nice comment my friend. Please go back and share Ryans Lunch King videos with your friends.
And I thank you and your brothers for their service Gunny. Thanks for the kind words my friend
Wow
Wow
And
Wow again
What a clever man
And what a place he has put together
Blimey
The detail
The wiring
yikes
The garage workshop and spray booth
The track is something else
lane changing c'mon
a more natural way possible for track and groove and a diode to help the job,
I found out about the diode in a previous video, a British fella,
His channel....
slot car Dad
He had bought a 1977 TCR slotless track boxed
Something he had never heard of
nor me?
Hot wheels or matchbox car scale!
Never heard of them, yet so advanced in 77,
3 cars two players with the third car acting as a jam car all possible due to this similar diode trick
Very clever
But your Uncles slot car track is way better then any scalextric tracks I've seen, ive seen some beauties in my time
they also had switch lanes but not like this
More a cross over
and having slots close making the cars look so realistically placed whilst racing
Just
Brilliant
Just
Exceptional
I could spend days in there just looking 👍😁
My offering would be trees
There's always room for trees to scale of course lol
Thank you for the very kind words
Completely speechless!!!
Only on RUclips will you meet these amazing human beings. As a fan of Motorsports and passed crew-member, I’m in awe over the details. Thanks so much for sharing your uncle’s dream. He’s a great American, especially getting young kids involved.

Thank you Cad, I appreciate your kind words my friend
I have no idea, why this vid popped into my feed, I super glad it did. Such a joy to see a man enjoying and sharing his life's passion. The World needs more Uncle Jims. He needs his own YT channel.
🥰
coolest thing ever..wow. Isn't there DCC control for slot cars like trains? I like the diode trick he mentions, i guess that's a a rudimentary dcc control....Thats a good scale to work with, growing up we had the store bought AFX and Gplus HO scale cars, hours of fun on those.
Thank you
WOW….I KNEW IT…DEARBORN… MI..🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
It's a technical & artistic masterpiece. You could look at it all day & still not take it all in. What a creation! Hats off to you Jimmy, from Australia.
Kerry & Matt....you made me blush. Thanks for the nice comment. If you haven't already, go see the other segments the guys did. If you like them forward to your friends and please subscribe!
Ray I have a list of SN kids that loved running cars here. It sort of levels the playing field a bit for them! Forward this to your friends because the guys said they will be doing more video of the track soon. Thanks again for the nice comment my friend.
Great Jonathan and I'm glad it inspires you to do more... share this video with your friends because the guys said they want to do more videos of the track ...so stay tuned and thanks for your kind words my friend
Came to see the track, stayed to listed to Jimmy. That was fascinating.
Go back and forward this video to your friends because the guys are planning to have more soon. Thanks again my friend.
Been a huge fan of Jimmy and his tracks for years. Glad to see behind the vale.

Truly unbelievable amount of detail on this track - even under the bleachers.... and every single car restored to perfection. This is art.
Thank you
I'm 61 and when I was in the 5th grade we lived in Oregon City.
Thank you for sharing with us - it is amazing how this brings memories to many people and thank you for watching

That track is my childhood dream. I've dreamt of having something so awesome.
Thank you
I’m just a few minutes in and had to comment.
WE do and it is fun, here is a video of an older race from the track
