"with both controllers in my hands cause I have no friends..." Bit abrupt 😂
DeployTheDRS but relatable
Yeah... _sniff_
both controllers* thats the whole point of the joke
Oh yeah sorry, my mistake ahah I meant that 😂
Realatable
If this was a TRULY accurate Silverstone model the rain would be pissing down on everyone and everything.
Great comment!
I was there the day keke set the lap record.
I think it's still the quickest F1 lap ever.
He did it in the rain!
wysiwygsd 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Classic 🤣 ! this comment is going down in the history books my guy
And there'd be a massive traffic jam just outside the room.
😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍
Man made? I thought it might have occurred naturally.
It's about making your own pieces, probably not standard ones from a store. Maybe.
lmaoo
ffs... He means... Yeah you're right, built not bought
Just went on a stroll through the forest recently and found a scalextric Hungaroring growing on a tree.
LOL XD!
That old banking on the monza model is a great detail!
I know right?
So cool 👌
You clearly haven't seen a model railway.
Some of which are truly insane.
@@g.w.7893no wayyyyyyy
u just got fucked
Also can't say Scale X tric or Silver stun.
But they are boring, i like to race on tracks like this
@@affectedrl5327 have you even been to one
At least Tiametmarduk can't corner cut this track!!
Nice one
Hahahaahah
Hahaha
Hahahahaha
Oh he’d find a way trust me
WTF1: Even the trees feel real.
Luke Towan: Hold my isopropyl alcohol.
3:17 "Whoo that was a lap! That was a sexy lap!"
2:40
Is that a Grid-Girl I see👀
BANNED
FOM dislike
Sexist. Put a child there holding a big sign 3 times the size of them in a swimming costume and you’re onto a winner though. Apparently.
PRL_F1Racer09 Wouldn't we all prefer to look at a child firing vomit and mucus everywhere, mashing a kit kat into their gob holding a sign of a driver they don't even know? I sure would.......
Uh oh, better not show Liberty Media this video.
Beautiful layout! Just shows what can be achieved with scalextric slot car track👍😎 Certainly makes me look at my empty loft space and my boxes of scalextric track with renewed interest👍😎😁
Someone make a race tournament using this track!
OH YEA I WOULD WATCH THAT
Imagine if this guy saw a model train set done well
🤯
2:40 RIP grid girls :(
I don’t think they actually died.
@@limeyfox No, they were executed by feminists for looking good.
Scalextric used to publish books of track plans to allow folk to model circuits at home. These were mostly fictitious but there were some plans for small versions of real circuits such as Brands Hatch.
I remember them ,What happened to them then?
I do not know if they are still published but one can obtain most things via eBay if one is patient.
0:57 As opposed to those naturally occuring Scalextric tracks?
normal Scalextric track:
oh well my car flew off again
this track:
welp here goes 12 hours for nothing.
WOW auto generated subtitles actually kept up with Matt's brilliant commentary of that flying lap
0:11 Nice Lag
Hello WTF1. Love your vids
Wow never expected a reply
Csanád Horváth It's still a form of reply.
Csanád Horváth Igen :D
Mighty Metro was my first Scalextric set that grew over time. Sold it all many many years ago.
I used to love the real Silverstone, I just remember it in the late 80's and early 90's being a real 'power' circuit.
hey wtf1, the monza track is actually called: Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, thank me later, no need.
I had Scalextric forty years ago with AC Cobra's with a reasonable size figure eight layout. These days I am still a motor sport fan and still enjoy Gran Turismo on PlayStation.
Just wanted to take this time to say hello! I live in Texas and my first WTF1 videoI watched was Grill the Grandstands @ COTA. I've always found F1 interesting but never really got into it (not surprising I'm sure) However after following along through the rest of the season, I"M PUMPED for the start! Thank you for helping me grow my motorsport love. I've been to many races at COTA, mostly Lone Star LeMans, Moto GP as well as HPDE there. Hope to attend F1 this year.
Now do the nurburgring.
Haaaaaha, *lemans*
There is, faller ams. ;)
also do daytona, sebring, spa, and watkins glen
It's gonna take like a YEAR!!
Well you gonna need a lot of BMW parts to bury in it
Even the trees feel real.. I dont think you've ever touched a real tree.
Here in Brazil I have an old 94' Ayrton Senna slot set, it's very fun when I assembly in the living room
I wanted to see wat the f1 cars would look like going that fast round the track
Pastor still crashed
why does nobody have the Carrera Slot Track anymore? The Quality is just much better
MAX Percentage I use Carerra Digital , it’s much better than Scalextric
over a million views shows there are a lot of us, who "raced" as kids. great video. thanks
I Challenge matt and all the WTF1 staff in a full race on that track
all rounder evolyoution I'd 👍 more than once if I could
I had a huge amount of AFx back in the 70's, long gone now
Give that man a break. He loves his work and I like the way he build it.
Love the tiny camera on a car going around the track.
My dad raced slot cars as a kid also. Made his own gears, engines (wires), weels ... and had a lot of fun. Then he raced rallye and formel (formel Easter cup) cars ...
flat out through maggots and becketts *WITHOUT KERBS*
Got back into it a couple of years ago but got laid to rest back in the summer, one of the best toys for grown ups in the world
My favorite part is the mini Stowe Circuit!
I got a Chili Dog from the little concession stand and got the shit's
could we see them run for more than 2 seconds?
"Great British Man" is a Homie figure lol
There is a place in march Cambridgeshire. That has 13 tracks from around the world. You can race them all and they have 4 tracks per circuit. So 4 people can race at a time.
I wish I could have a 3D Printer to make a track like this beautiful Silverstone.
Would have been great to actually see the cars driving on it for more than 2 corners!
Love the detail , glad you shared the video!
Wow I want to play at this track
Now I can confirm after seeing this that Lewis's pole lap last year was him as a slot car coming out of Stowe. Also are these the guys that make the tracks for Red Bull Racing's slot car videos?
Lovely , well done , world class , fantastic amazing , enjoyable too
I look at this for inspiration on my own smaller track, no buildings yet just track and barriers on painted boards.
0:25 gloriousness or just glory TRIGGERED
beautiful... especially like the Gnome at 3:28
*THAT'S 15 THOUSAND POUNDS!?*
Wow. That's pretty heavy.
"Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?"
Actually, I think it only has to do with the United Kingdom. Things in the United Kingdom seem to just weigh a lot for whatever reason. It's weird.
It is UK currency
F1Noob r/whooosh
I can guarantee you it's not worth that much. They probably added in the hourly labour costs
The thing it was in the loft collating dust and it was my dads and we counted he’s got something like 130 straights and 100 corners with some old ones when he was a kid and some from now
POV camera racing would be sweet with this setup.
0:44 That looks like a figure from the Homies vending machine toy line, lol.
Never heard of Scalextric until today. Being American, we're more use to "Tyco" brand cars and tracks. The Scalextric seems to be much better designed, as the cars aren't constantly flying off the track - a constant problem with Tyco cars.
Uh, with the single fan in the stands, are you sure the track builder wasn't in some way predicting 2020? Perhaps they're the Nostradamus of slot racing?
My brother once planned the Nurburgring using AFX and figured he’d need a town hall to lay it out. I can’t remember how many pieces of track were involved.
TheThirdMan cool story, thanks for sharing
I know someone with the Singapore circuit which lights up around their room
Your guy needs to make an HO Scale with 6 or 8 lanes of the Old Nürburgring ring from the sixties, that would be cool!!
I have a slot car set (that's what Americans call scalectrics). Problem is it's hard to keep a strong circuit, electricity and power escapes from the ho scale tracks all the time. But when I do get them running I usually run them until the copper runners have melted or the remote starts smoking. (That happens more often than you'd think
When he said “alistair look at this” I paid extra attention and thought he was talking to me
This track is epic. Not just racing but it just looks so wicked. The trees and all the background effects are done very well. The key to a great diorama is realism and these guys NAILED it.
A+ 10/10 100%
would be fine to drive the cars on such a circuit without magnets i like the layout great scenery well done.
Have a f40 and xj220 set,it is awesome
In the world of model trains "man-made" or "custom-built" is called "scratch-built" as it's built from scratch.
Note that the ‘X’ in Scalextric is in the MIDDLE, not at the end
The Slot Car Set Layouts In The USA have 12 Lanes , Las Vegas. Digital 1:24 Scale.
The moment I saw this I was in the pause menu playing Formula 1 2019 on the British GP
Scalextric were these fucking things that always seemed like great tracks and then you noticed that the last straight/corner doesn't fit at all and you have to have giant holes everywhere in your track if you want it to form a circle.
This race is on fire!
Great job.
can you imagine spending 3 months making a realistic model of Silverstone only to then decide to make the grass puke green
Brands Hatch (long circuit) has real character; Silverstone still feels like the WW2 aerodrome it originally was..... Best, Pete.
Brands is the best circuit in the world for spectators, while i have recreateed the short circuit flat its quite awkward to do it as its so steep, walk round the real circuit and you wouldn't believe how steep it it, paddock hill bend obviously but pilgrims rise is steep but looks almost flat on tv. It's steep up or steep down everywhere on the circuit. Even the pit lane is steeper than you'd think.
James May be like “OOOOHHHHHH!!! FUN!!!”
Intimate moments with the tree
Very Nice! Congrats!
Thumbs up! I particularly loved the single spectator with his flag on the stand.
Reminded me of a real family visit at a Silverstone race. All of us had Ferrari shirts on except for our smallest one, barely school age. He liked the name Truelli and thus had a Renault shirt. We ended up in a Ferrari corner and the other fans loved him so much that they pushed him forward all the way to the front so that he could see better - a single, small blue/yellow spot in a sea of red. I bet Schumacher and Barrichello must have noticed it.
It makes me sad that the old Monza oval is only used for the rally race now, I really hope that one day a race is organized with previous cars that had raced on the track for one more race
Just... AWESOME!
I’m amazed it’s only £1500 even without the fans, trees and decor I thought it would around £3000
I've got a mt Panorama Bathrust track in my shed outside, way too much fun
I want to build something like this but apartment friendly size
I had a scalextric track with ramps and stuff and a pair of hummers but i have no clue where its gone XD
I am a huge scalextric fan and my personal favourite car I own is the special edition bugatti Veyron (in real life it's porcelain ). Either that or my fiat 500
0:06 song going in the back round hello darkness smile friend
Wow! Great video :D
I'm more of a tamiya mini 4WD guy but this looks cool
Wow. That car cam bit towards the end made me sick. But awesome tracks!
Nice Video on a cool track...this track is a legend !!
This is fantastic work, but does anyone know the name of the plastic Grid-Girl please? (I am asking for a friend)
It's Steve also don't assume it's gender.
3:19 Chilling in the corridor.
Great layout wish I had the space to do this and leave down.
Mr wtf1 is a legend
Now that's model!
Now why didn’t I think of building something like this when I had my Tyco slot car track set at age 11?
I’m gonna do this but it will be Daytona for stop motion series
Great job
Make a Nürburgring, then I'll be impressed.
