@@bigcountry908 no Texas speed built a 2500 hp capable solid roller ls I believe a smx would be alot farther in the future that's over a 100k engine it's to much engine for the current setup in all honesty that's a 5 second setup mullet would need alot of changes to make it useful

he's also nervous because he knows what it takes to get a car to that point.
It also shows the respect and confidence the owner has for the borrower. You may feel nervous at hell, but if he's letting you drive it, he's confident you'll do fine

I agree! Cleetus can drive the shit out of anything. James and Cleet are one or a kind, down to earth guys. I remember in one video some stuff went wrong with the cars, and Cleet says "well we accomplished the goals we came here to do." They proceeded to have a blast and worry about that later. Much respect!

Steve Morris is THE MAN when it comes to building motors. There's NOBODY that builds a better engine than that dude.
I'm surprised there aren't more comments about Steve here. Watch some of his engine dyno videos and you'll get your mind blown pretty fast
The turbo SMX dyno video is amazing. Morris is incredibly knowledgeable, but as humble as can be.

Watching both Leroy and ruby run down the track thinking they’re crazy fast then watching this beast run down and seeing how fast it got away from the line is quite impressive
It’s a whole different level which is crazy. Here I think 800 wheel is fast, well for the street it is.
Whole lot different once you go to big tyre and less worry of over powering the radials off the line.

And Tom has a few other cars such as 2.0, that he could use the money towards getting that back up and going. I'm sure Tom doesn't need the money, but we could ALL use a few extra dollars every now and then. And just kinda how they were talking about them in both cleets and Tom's videos. I don't know if I'd call cleetus down to earth, he's literally built a persona on being a bit of a wild child, but I agree with Tom and Mike, that being said Cleetus in the past year or so has matured alot.

It's a lot of overstimulation mentally, even just sitting down doing nothing, it feels like very bad anxiety and its difficult to focus on something, in other words it's hard to find something that can not only keep your mind at bay but also find something you can enjoy. It's a big deal to people like us, the 20 minutes of peace and not having to deal with the mental unpleasantness really means a lot. It's like trying to drive a car that bucks and surges, cuts out, etc. When you finally drive over a smooth road and the engines running perfectly its awesome, to most people that would just be driving

Garrett is unquestionably Tom's long lost son. Just look at the way Tom looks at Garrett, I literally have not ever seen him smile at anybody else before, at least not all genuine and authentically pleased like he is here. This is really nice to watch the older generation and maybe THE youngest person out here running his own record holding program; working together and recalling how each of them have influenced the other, it is so damn cool
To make it short, i LOVE seeing tom and cleeter hang out together. There is so much history and chemistry between them, they should DEFINITELY be doing more stuff together. If they come out for drag week with each of them in a camaro i am seriously going to lose my freakin shit

I know EXACTLY how you felt there Cleeter. My dad has a '69 twin turbo mountain motor big tire impala. It runs low 7s all day. 1st time i ran 1320 in it, the chute cable broke. Our track has a decent run out but, as you know, big tire cars are EXTREMELY terrifying to stomp on the brakes at over 200 mph. I made it out fine. No damage to the car. Pretty sure theres 100 dudes alive that could have done that and you and i are 2 of them.

As a skydiver, terminal velocity in free fall is around 220km/h, sure glad my main chute has always opened and haven’t had to go to reserve yet. No chutes in the car must have made your stomach drop but great job taking a high pressure situation and controlling it!
