Yeah, paying a vet bill is a basic responsibility. They're pointing out normal things and putting meaning to it that isn't really there. I don't think paying your puppy's vet bill or being comfortable while lying down on a padded surface can be traced back to a person's medical history. Nope. She is divorced so probably getting child support and parents are obviously huge enablers. My youngest daughter had multiple health issues from 8th grade on. I have a tendency to indulge her a bit - I think because I feel badly she went through so much and missed out in her teens. I have zero debt, nor would I ever go into debt for her (or anyone), but she needs some new clothes since the last baby, there was a 50% sale on jeans, and I told her to pick up a pair of two for an early birthday gift. Im gonna guess she got student grants/loans for being a mature student, she'll probably get some sort of Universal Credit to top up her income/help with bills & child support from the children's father. Plus she's a homeowner so (pre credit crisis of 2008) she could get plenty of credit from banks and credit companies secured again her home.
I love how they pretend that they just stumble upon on their bills and statements in every episode when clearly they ask the spender to put them in an an easily found box or drawer. This one was especially good with his sarcastic "oh look you found a box of bills in aaaaall this clutter"
I mean Benjamin was a bit sarcastic when he said that! Lol. It is a produced show and in every episode they miraculously find the CC statements and bills “laying” around.
Green is obviously her color . She is a lovely free spirit and I hope this gives her the grounding she needs to curb her spending and pursue her dreams .
18 dogs??? So very very expensive to care for the darlings properly...How about 1-2 that you can take Excellent care and not totally destroy your financial future.
Those questions are so leading. You cannot just put things out there like that during a session with a client. They might be true but when you suggest things in sessions, people tend to agree because they are holding the therapist in a position of power. Like I know the sessions we see in this show aren't supposed to be realistic and I tend to skip them them but sometimes I catch glimpses and just no.
the worst thing is benjamin isnt a real psychologist. he is a "psychological coach" - he has no medical degree or doctorate...he is merely pretending to be a therapist/psychologist. which makes it even weirder/creepier when you consider what he has the participants do and the questions he asks the participants in all of these episodes. they're opening up about incredibly deep/personal issues to a guy who has no medical training/education and is playing dress up. it's all pretty twisted
"you're projecting the animals heath on your own as a child" huh????? because she didn't let it die?! is he insane?! that's just common sense to care for something you love! that's the worst episode yet omfg
@@katehenry2718 you know he would let animals die. it doesnt matter that she has pet hoarding disorder (which they didnt even address??) and he's not a hoarder, he probably views pets as a waste of money and replacable if you have them
I think her biggest issue is that she's sure everything is about her. When she looked at the pictures her children had drawn, the first words out of her mouth both times were "I think that's me", no initial thought that the pictures might be about them, nope. Her.
That struck me as so narcissistic. I also really wonder how accurate the "near death" childhood experiences were. If you watch her body language when she tells Benjamin that, it is telling. I wonder if she has dramatized or exaggerated the illness as a way to justify her behaviors. It would have been interesting to hear the extent of her childhood asthma form her parents and get a sense of whether that was really true.
@13:40 She's in debt but if she can learn to spend it on things she really enjoys and not just impulsively, I think she would do well. She has a great sense of taste. I bet she's really good at her craft(s.) She's also very sensitive emotionally and I mean that in the best way possible. If she reads this comment, by chance, I wish you nothing but the best in life (both the material and things that can not be bought.)
I ve seen that episode, but I watched again. I like this lady, she has talent, taste, and she s beautiful also... She deserve a nice man, and hope for her a good future...
She doesn’t need a a man to be Happy ~ she needs to get her life under control and if a Man is in the future let it Happen just don’t go looking! You need to be Happy with yourself first!!!
They did explain how she came up with the missing £600... also am i the only one who thinks she is just downright selfish? To put her kids and her in jeopardy like that just so she can buy a few skirts...
It was a thought that occurred to me. She did have some past baggage but I do think that the day you have a child is the day you have to change your focus away from yourself. Our lives are nowhere as difficult as those in the past! They had a lot more resolve, resilience and responsibility. It's time we matured back into the strong people we once were!
She's completely irresponsible. She doesn't need 18 dogs. She could sell almost all of them and make some money. She didn't have the money to pay the vet bills. She can't afford them
Even tho i don't have debt cuz i refuse to get any credit cards, i also don't really have a savings because I'm a "deal" shopper too. I love markdown racks n sales n anything I think is a good price. That's on top of buying stuff i need or just want too. I have enough clothes n shoes for the wardrobe of like 5 women. I have several shelves full, as well as a number of big boxes of new items, of Bath n Body Work body wash, body lotion, body spray, n the hand lotion. I have to buy the complete 4 piece scent. Hair supplies, face wash n products, make up, shampoo, conditioner, razors, body wash, lotion, n enough of every kind of toiletry item you can imagine that i couldn't even use all up for the rest of my life. And that's just the beginning. Over 2,000 nail polishes, everything to learn to do acrylic nails n polygel nails. The list just goes on n on n onnnn. It started when my depression got really bad. When i get depressed, i shop. Even during the quarantine n being home n stores closed, online shopping was available. I was receiving at leat 1-5 packages everyday. It sucks honestly cuz i want to save n just can't stop buying things I don't need.
Hun listen I've gone thru this. But the way I got to save and stopped spending (not totally) was trying out minimalism. 1. Use up what u have. 2. Photograph every month the things you used up that month 3. Track your spending online 4. Give yourself an allowance to treat but go a few days without shopping and then go. Trust me when u start to save up and see the money grow. The thought of spending will make you think what have I been doing all these years! When u do your own shop your stash you will feel like u bought something every month. Hope this helps
Thank you both for your understanding. It's very heartbreaking knowing i could be saving this money to make bigger n better purchase investments n just to save. I have nail polishes that are 20+ years old. Every great once in awhile I'll find one that's dried up. Usually after my daughter or step daughter didn't replace the tops on tightly. Other than that, sometimes they get a lil thicker n i just add a couple drops of nail polishish thinner n they work perfectly after that. I have tried posting things online that are new or very gently used for very minimal cost, but eveybody sends me messages with a sad story n how they really need it. I do give a lot of stuff away for free to help others that are in need, but i would also like to make a couple dollars for stuff too sometimes. My BBW collection I would say 1/4 of it has been opened n used. Nothing is seperated or foul smelling. I didn't know they were going out of business. How sad. I really hate having this problem, but crazy enough my mom does too. It started for her after my brother committed suicide at 19 yrs old. I just went Wednesday n kinda overspent on things I really didn't need because I was really depressed. I didn't go as excessive as i normally do. I'm really trying to be aware when i go out that i have this problem. It's kinda like an addiction disease such as alcoholism or gambling or over or under eating. I really appreciate you both for your advice n will really try n apply your advice. This is the first time I've ever told anyone about my problem n why n I am very thankful for the helpful advice versus being negatively attacked. Thank you so much💜

Benjamin, you are such a sweet soul. You bring such calm into people's lives and really make them realize what they might not have wanted to. You and Jay are such a great team. Love you both! This is total rubbish. Life is more than all this superficiality. What is she doing for her children who are becoming adults in a few years? She needs to heal.
Best way to not spend money shopping is to NOT go shopping. Get the kids involved in the NOT spending. Need vs just want to have is a big difference. Medical is priority over everything else. That's a prime NEED. Pay the Vet. Give up everything else to pay that.
It seems ridiculous that someone would risk their home for tat from primark. But I’ve struggled to control my own spending over the last few years. It’s all wrapped up in emotions. I self soothe by shopping. Still working on it, but thank goodness I never got into debt
She's quite pretty, and seems lovely, hope she stayed out of debt and is doin well...also those workers helping her are insensitive in regards to her dogs, they are living beings, not her fault the puppy got sick, it wouldn't be nice to let the dog die! Crazy....
Is this lady getting Child Support from the kids' father? Admittedly, her spending habits are out of control, but Dad should be helping with their food and clothing as well.
I would love to know what come of her, Did she lose her home ? I doubt if she'd have had to go into temporary accommodation they'd have allowed so many animals there.
She's hoping for a rich partner who will take care of her huge debt. She thought her daughter drew mum's wedding, for god's sake! Well, good luck. I'm so sorry for her kids, there's no room for them in her habits, it's cruel to have a parent who doesn't care what a serious liability a family debt this big is. 😢
Greedy companies want the fees they charge for partial payments. Some are 30% per year. They can afford a few deadbeats who declare bankruptcy every 7 years. Right after that, the offers for more credit cards come pouring in so it starts all over again.
My question for Lorna is, where are going to put all of your beautiful things when you have to sell your house and live in a 2 bedroom flat? You really need to grow up and think about your children.
She doesn't seem to love her children that much...No matter how beautiful she is, this is not good...If she really love her children, she would never be spendaholic like this
Now, she is stunning, with her beautiful face, bone structure and amazing hair. Get married, any sensible man would be lucky, if we're handcuffed and couldn't spend money
I recognise this ladies house from a children's program a few years back where the grandad shrinks and a recent Netflix drama called Liar... Not sure if it is though.
What a lovely lady and I adore the way she dresses. I hope she's well and debt-free and happy. Good for her for telling him straight about the dog - I live in a caravan so I can keep my dogs. I'd tell him to get lost,
Get rid of the dogs they are worth £450 each at least x10 =£4,500 😅 she needs to actually test the market with her hats and sell them 😅instead of being an artist produce before testing the market
I'm curious as to whether she has any adult friends who can give her advice and who she can bounce ideas off. We got no sense of any adult support network. She needed Ben and Jay to show her that a different future is possible, and she did change in the course of the programme. She has good qualities: a great eye for colour and shape, courage, persistence, kindness, an ability to learn and change (she was able to live within the 50 pounds from week 1). I would love to know how she went with the market stall, hat making for weddings and funerals, and reducing her hoard. Dear Lorna: keep getting rid of garments, but do keep that wonderful fake leopard coat (of which I am dreadfully envious) and continue to enjoy wearing it!
she probably doesnt. i think she's very lonely. in other episodes of this show they frequently get the friend network of the main person in to help. i think if she had any friends they would have done this, so...
She’s clearly really artistic and creative . It’s a shame she can’t run a charity shop herself . Maybe being a personal shopper in a store . Her clothes could be rented out ,for sample. Make some cash and keep the items . I hope she benefitted from her collage work . She looks pretty and likes to wear unusual clothing . Good for her , why look boring ? She adores her pets but maybe should cut down the amount of pups . Vets fees are huge and so is insurance. I wish her all the best and her lovely children
Jay made a valid point though! This women has chosen to have 18 dogs but doesn’t have the funds to care for them! So when an emergency happens, she’d rather spend money she doesn’t have (as appose to selling the excess shoes, dresses, gloves, hats etc to generate the necessary funds)
I thought that extra room she was walking into a thrift store sell or take back a lot of that stuff then you have money for the vet bills. I feel bad for this woman and her kids
I don't see a lot of practical difference. At the end she is still deeply in debt and has no concrete lead on her own business. She is such a nice lady, and I hope she realizes her dream. It was horrible to see them put her through that rope bridge business.

Plus she's a homeowner so (pre credit crisis of 2008) she could get plenty of credit from banks and credit companies secured again her home.
In the beginning they say she‘s a textile student and brings home £990 a month
I love how they pretend that they just stumble upon on their bills and statements in every episode when clearly they ask the spender to put them in an an easily found box or drawer. This one was especially good with his sarcastic "oh look you found a box of bills in aaaaall this clutter"
I'm surprised they didn't think it was another shoebox!😉
I'm surprised she knew where any of them were.
Lots behind the scenes are rehearsed or We'd never have a programme under 10 hours.
I mean Benjamin was a bit sarcastic when he said that! Lol. It is a produced show and in every episode they miraculously find the CC statements and bills “laying” around.
Everytime she says her clothing is fantastic, you can see she wants to keep it. At least I do🤣
Green is obviously her color . She is a lovely free spirit and I hope this gives her the grounding she needs to curb her spending and pursue her dreams .
18 dogs??? So very very expensive to care for the darlings properly...How about 1-2 that you can take Excellent care and not totally destroy your financial future.
When she listed what she had to spend her $50 on, feeding the dogs came before the kids.
She needs to put an open sign on her shop door.
I always fastforward the male pscychologist part. He is soooo booooring.
She fits exactly what I think of what a hatmaker looks like, with her red hair and those vibrant clothes.
She has a very nice voice
Idk I think Lorna is an aesthetic genius
i unironically love that her decorating sense is a like that of a highly creative 7yo child
I have to skip over the ‘therapist’ parts because of how much leading / manipulating questions are used
the worst thing is benjamin isnt a real psychologist. he is a "psychological coach" - he has no medical degree or doctorate...he is merely pretending to be a therapist/psychologist. which makes it even weirder/creepier when you consider what he has the participants do and the questions he asks the participants in all of these episodes. they're opening up about incredibly deep/personal issues to a guy who has no medical training/education and is playing dress up. it's all pretty twisted
@@jamnbryan1 yeah I think he's a creep
@@jamnbryan1 OMG I hadn't realised - but I do find he brings preconceived ideas to this practice - which is not what a good therapist does
I love her hair, she’s so beautiful! Happy she’s getting the help she deserves.
"you're projecting the animals heath on your own as a child" huh????? because she didn't let it die?! is he insane?! that's just common sense to care for something you love! that's the worst episode yet omfg
This man should never have pets.
@@katehenry2718 you know he would let animals die. it doesnt matter that she has pet hoarding disorder (which they didnt even address??) and he's not a hoarder, he probably views pets as a waste of money and replacable if you have them
lol the title should say "a part of".... not "APART of" which has literally the opposite meaning 😂😂
This is my favorite episode.
And God I love her clothes. She's turning me into a shopaholic😂😂
Aren't there any laws in UK about how many dogs you can legally own at your house or flat?
I ve seen that episode, but I watched again. I like this lady, she has talent, taste, and she s beautiful also... She deserve a nice man, and hope for her a good future...
She doesn’t need a a man to be Happy ~ she needs to get her life under control and if a Man is in the future let it Happen just don’t go looking! You need to be Happy with yourself first!!!
When would she wear her fancy gowns to need so many of them?
@@sarahbridges-q6x I guess she is a dress hoarder . 😃
She bought them because she loves them but she doesn't need to wear them.
Thank you so much💜
@@the76libra2 I lost my brother in November 2019. I feel your heartache. It's hard to think life will continue without them. But its something we learn to live with. Get support from your family and friends. If it makes you feel better talk about him to your mum in casual convo. I do that and I feel like hes always here with us. I hope you feel better and dont beat yourself up. You still have life left in you to make a difference to some one elses life. Do something positive or just chat with some one and ask how their day was? Do this everyday and you might feel abit better in yourself. Be kind to yourself and most of the difficulties in your life will ease. I hope you feel better x
@@shoppaholic90meah91 I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My brother died 2/11/2000 at 19 n my dad died 11/12/2017. Losing my dad has wrecked me more than I already was. My mom is the one that started the excessive shopping from the depression of losing my brother. I just have severe anxiety n depression n have my entire life. Most don't know i have those issues or even how severely. I have lost count how many times I've attempted suicide. I struggle n fight daily just to make it thru just one more day. I don't have what i call family other than my mom n my 2 kids. I have a couple aquaintances, but not really any friends. I just fight my demons alone. Right now things are in a really desperate place for my kids n I. We may end up homeless within the next month or 2. I just plan on putting everything we have in a storage n talking my mom into letting my kids stay with her n I'll handle myself. I survived on the streets when i was younger. It wasn't easy n went thru a lot of bad things. I can't let things i went thru happen to my kids. I couldn't make it now because of being disabled n having severe pain issues n sick n other issues. As long as my kids have somewhere safe n stable to go, that is all I care about. My life has been gone for many years now. I just merely exist. I'm ready for whenever the time comes.
@@the76libra2 what your going thru u need to share with your mum or speak to some one for some therapy. I can only tell you that your kids would be at a loss without you. My brother left behind a 2yr old daughter and she asks about him all the time. He suffered from mental health. But I hope you reach out for some help. I live in the uk and I'm assuming your in the states. Remember your never alone. It might feel like it but you aren't. But you have to remind yourself that if crappy stuff happens it doesnt matter as long as your family has you. For your kids you mean everything to them. Speak to your mum and tell her what's going on. You be surprised. It might take some weight off your shoulders to reach out for some help. What you feeling right now isnt how your gonna feel like forever. Remember that. It's a feeling and it wont last. Your gonna have better days. Things and places are replaceable but people aren't. Pls reach out for some help. You aren't alone in this. You sharing your feelings might help your mum too.
£980 a month? Her habit is disgraceful 😩😩
What’s being sacrificed to buy these clothes? 😩
I would rather have a house, then pretty things too wear.
She expects them both!
With her skills she can have both.
I got rid of cable Television and all its advertising and stayed out of the toy section, and it made shopping with kids a breeze.
She look damn good to❤😘😍
I love the gift they gave her at the end. It can be just what she needs to get the selling going strong! PS Why do I always think that Benjamin and the female guest always are flirty together and start liking each other? But then on the next episode, it happens again. Benjamin, you are such a sweet soul. You bring such calm into people's lives and really make them realize what they might not have wanted to. You and Jay are such a great team. Love you both! From Michigan, USA
In five years' time, you'll have as much debt as a US college graduate.
This is total rubbish. Life is more than all this superficiality. What is she doing for her children who are becoming adults in a few years? She needs to heal.
Way too many dogs.....just not realistic to most people....you need to put your children first.!!
Each to his own, but spending and shopping all the time to look a certain way can take time away from women to evolve a bit more.
Absolutely.
being judged for not having a puppy pts, how callious can they be
I love the show, and this is a great episode. What a talented woman! I predict she'll be designing for royals in no time!
i wonder how much debt her parents are in, enabling doesn’t come cheap
This woman could do asmr
Best way to not spend money shopping is to NOT go shopping. Get the kids involved in the NOT spending. Need vs just want to have is a big difference. Medical is priority over everything else. That's a prime NEED. Pay the Vet. Give up everything else to pay that.
It seems ridiculous that someone would risk their home for tat from primark. But I’ve struggled to control my own spending over the last few years. It’s all wrapped up in emotions. I self soothe by shopping. Still working on it, but thank goodness I never got into debt
How dare she own a sewing machine? What?
She needs a good one as a textiles student !
You have a beautiful video! I am speechless!
I wonder how she is now?, Do they do updates?
Favorite episode of Spendaholics and most relatable to me.
Anyone know what happened to her?
I'm just watching this episode. I am shocked that the Dr had her lie in a coffin! Oh my! That's sad. I hope she's doing better with her spending.
I would love to know what come of her, Did she lose her home ? I doubt if she'd have had to go into temporary accommodation they'd have allowed so many animals there.
That death stunt was a bit much 😳
I thought it was way over the top, he has no business going that far
no responsible therapist would make someone do something like that. especially when they just met them and barely know them.
Sometimes the experts are actually arses. Dogs are family members.
Blessed her I hope she happy now
She's hoping for a rich partner who will take care of her huge debt. She thought her daughter drew mum's wedding, for god's sake! Well, good luck. I'm so sorry for her kids, there's no room for them in her habits, it's cruel to have a parent who doesn't care what a serious liability a family debt this big is. 😢
Sad she's in Debt.
The coffin thing was cringe worthy..
Who's giving them credit cards
Greedy companies want the fees they charge for partial payments. Some are 30% per year. They can afford a few deadbeats who declare bankruptcy every 7 years. Right after that, the offers for more credit cards come pouring in so it starts all over again.
I have to say...the way the Man Talks....the pschotherapist with the practical part thrilles! He does hardly articulate and moves his lips....
My question for Lorna is, where are going to put all of your beautiful things when you have to sell your house and live in a 2 bedroom flat? You really need to grow up and think about your children.
She doesn't seem to love her children that much...No matter how beautiful she is, this is not good...If she really love her children, she would never be spendaholic like this
Dont be rediculious
You don't get even a little bit of psychology do you?
The psychologist seemed really keen on getting her in that coffin. Bet its not his first time lol
A bit kinky!
LOL 😆
Now, she is stunning, with her beautiful face, bone structure and amazing hair. Get married, any sensible man would be lucky, if we're handcuffed and couldn't spend money
The dogs sure are cute by why so many
she’s immature, and her mother is making things worse
Wow she is really old to be like I don’t think of the future; I thought like that when I was twenty with no kids.
She make less than 1,000 spend over 3,000 anyone else thinks she some learn basic math 🤣
250 dresses? How many parties does she go to in a year?
this woman´s house is giving me anxiety
Me, watching while also having to put for 4+ years of college 👁👄👁
I recognise this ladies house from a children's program a few years back where the grandad shrinks and a recent Netflix drama called Liar... Not sure if it is though.
What a lovely lady and I adore the way she dresses. I hope she's well and debt-free and happy. Good for her for telling him straight about the dog - I live in a caravan so I can keep my dogs. I'd tell him to get lost,
I’m a shopaholic and I’m trying to change too
Get rid of the dogs they are worth £450 each at least x10 =£4,500 😅 she needs to actually test the market with her hats and sell them 😅instead of being an artist produce before testing the market
Seriously, what did they expect her to do with the dog, kill it? That lady was so disappointed.
Jay made a valid point though! This women has chosen to have 18 dogs but doesn’t have the funds to care for them! So when an emergency happens, she’d rather spend money she doesn’t have (as appose to selling the excess shoes, dresses, gloves, hats etc to generate the necessary funds)
Love ur hats darling get in touch with me. I will buy some.
If I never donated clothes I did not wear or did not fit me any more, I would definately have as much as this lady.
You can die from an asthma attack?! My doctor didn't mention that lol
Yes, you can.
He's sick
I've been on that exact assault course
Get in the coffin-wtf?!! He gives me the creeps, there’s something really slimy about him and he wasn’t even a qualified therapist, what a surprise
Букина жена,ещё есть канал гены Букина "Алекс брежнев".
Реально похожи,как герои в жизни.
I thought that extra room she was walking into a thrift store sell or take back a lot of that stuff then you have money for the vet bills. I feel bad for this woman and her kids
It seems that those presenters are not animal friendly....not my type of people. Animals are also living beings.
She jeopardised her family home for all that junk!😝 odd they focused on her saving the dog?
I don't see a lot of practical difference. At the end she is still deeply in debt and has no concrete lead on her own business. She is such a nice lady, and I hope she realizes her dream. It was horrible to see them put her through that rope bridge business.
Great video thank you.🐸💓👩❤️💋👩🥰😹🙏👼😻🐾😢🐾🐩🤩🌞
This woman actually has beautiful stule, fiarst tiim for these shopoholics, she should be a designer.
