  • This video shows how to set up your PC to record the IP address of a 'Windows Support Department' (or similar) support scammer.
    If more people could record their IP addresses, the more prosecutions we can secure the fewer calls we will get and the fewer victims they will rip off.

    I offered one a job in my IT Company (I don't have one! ) and asked him to send me his CV and said I would pay his fare to come for an interview. He was ecstatic and thanked me but when I asked him if he thought I was telling the truth he said he did. I asked him if I should believe what he was telling me and he assured me I should. SO I told him I was a liar and a thief - he went berserk!! He ranted until I got bored with his limited ability to swear long enough in English and hung up on him.

      I would feel like shit if I did that, you did give him some good payback though. The fact that he was so excited really shows the truth which is that a lot of the scammers (not the owners or those that run the company) are just normal people trying to make a living. I feel like most of them have grown accustomed to what they do. If I could I would definitely help people out of these situations because as bad as what they are doing is, there is some reasoning behind it.
      Edit: I in now way support scams, but I do realize there are some genuine people behind the phone.

      +The7up its quite easy really. with the exception of some other ips occasionally showing up on the list, there is only two prominent ips going in and out of his machine (his and the scammers). considering he knows his he can rule that one out, leading to the conclusion that the foreign ip is the scammers.

      @jeremysmith54565 4 года назад

      If you can isolate the port (destination port of what their foreign IP address is connecting to) then should be pretty simple, like for any unencrypted HTTP traffic will obviously be port 80, the upper reaches (192.168.whatever the routers set to in here.255 is the broadcast address broadcasts to the network a node/device is on the network)

      Unfortunately, it works well enough to be worth their time. According to some reports I've heard, these people get paid about 2$ an hour (plus bonuses for meeting goals), so if they scam 200$ or more from somebody, it is going to be quite profitable for their bosses to keep the scam going. With the sort of money they are pulling, they can probably afford to bribe the Indian cops as well.

      ***** Mind elaborating on a reverse connection? If that means you can get at them like they can get at you... oh man that's awesome.

      Do you know whether they actually look at the files they download whilst scamming though? And, if you pull it off, very very nice!

      ***** Title the rootkit as "porn.zip" or something like that and see if they take the bait.

      Don't forget to label it porn.zip.
      They can't resist porn.

    When my friends ask me to teach them to hack/scam, I tell them: "I won't teach you jack shit"... They always wonder why I don't teach them shit... When I explain to them the dangers, most of them really don't get it. I still don't tell them shit, I'll probably show them this(and the other one about this guy) video from now on, so they get a better understanding of what actually will happen to them.
    To any new computer "hackers": Just quit.. One of the smallest mistakes can lead to your life being ruined...

    why don't you have trojan on your machine that when he downloads your files you can execute on his computer?
    getting screencaps of the desktop, maybe a webcam image would be awesome for a video

      @@JimBrowning Reading this after your videos where you actually are hacked into a scammers PC makes me happy. It's glad to see that you really thought of this in an early stage. Keep up the good work. Saving people like this lady whose files got deleted or the 91 old gentleman is what makes you stand out of those that are just joking with scammers.

    Brilliant, love these vids. I got a call too. I told him I sold British passports and does he want one. I soon started making the deals with him. I had something HE wanted. I am sorry I did not record it. But that would be a good call if you can do it. Sell them passports, I would love to see you take a paypal payment from them for a passport.
